Why would you want 8khz
1 KHz is already all you need, 8 KHz is useless and can literally lag your pc 😂
sub milisecond macros prob
rename to bobo
we will keep macros software side for now. and no firmware update can bring it to 8khz
now im actually interested, could the current hardware support, say 2khz?
i think 8khz is a marketing meme but 2khz surely would have some benefits right?
no 1khz max
this is mainly due to only communicating via usb fullspeed aka usb1.1
to go above 1khz (including 8khz) a device needs to talk usb highspeed aka 2.0
we are looking into more applicable polling and scanrate like 2khz and 4khz. but for now our 1khz boards can pull equal to a lot of 8khz boards if some independent tests are to be trusted
hope that helps explain a bit
@arctic python i take it it would require a complete redo of the pcb right so there's no way to mod the 60he to push higher in the future right?
idk how any of this shit works so im just saying words
it needs an extra chip/circuitry or a way too overpowered mcu. the mcu approach is too costly just for higher polling. but in either case yes the hardware needs to change quite a bit
so i extract a maybe moddable out of this if you guys were willing to do it but thered be no financial incentive over a refresh i guess
by the way what do you think about my suggestion of this thread https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1178801033540022383 im curious what youd think about it
refresh or not i cant say as i dont decide this nor am i involved in such things. modable not really.
