#The Wooting 60HE+ Module is now
1 messages Ā· Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Does it come with screws?
Yes, let me add it to the post
Yay! I have ordered but bit confused with the alumaze - I had one preordered but its cheaper if I cancel and reorder with the module? I had a 15% discount on the alumaze as I had a HE but this discount is 25%
cool but isnt it a bit expensive for just a pcb? idk how the price distribution works for a regular 60he
It comes with a PC Plate though, keep in mind that
The discount with Module is greater. We wanted to stimulate the combination and concentrate value we earn on to the module.
im not gonna order it anyways (unless?????) coz i already own a 60he
The module part of the keyboard is the majority of the cost of the keyboard. The other major cost would be the switches, then keycaps (anything that multiplies by the amount of keys)
estimated delivery for europe?
Personally, I've got everything in the 60HE except the module. If I were to buy it and resell it locally, the PC plate would kinda add a great price for me so yeah. To me, it'd be saving me some money back
january for the first batch to the warehouse
does the shipping time get bigger if I add the alumaze60
No
So there is an Iso Version, thats means the Iso Version with a PC Switchplate? Cause Iso Verion of the Switchplates was not available.
We anticipated the launch and made sure to stock well enough to be able to deliver with all accessories. If we do run out, it means it's outpacing our forecast.
amazon pay not available ????
Ok so I have an order of the module and the case seperately can I email support to amend my order to add the case to the module and cancel my other order? My alumaze isnt being sent for a month or so
That's correct. The ISO PC plate is actually in our warehouse, but you can't screw 1 of the PCB standoffs because it's in a different location on the PC plate vs the 60HE. (this is only with ISO)
The 60HE+ has the updated PCB that is compatible with the (ISO) standoffs.
I am not confident enough yet that not having that standoff screwed is going to have no impact on performance, how to fix it easily, and otherwise how to communicate it all clearly
Can there be a discount for the cable and the lube sets?
(to be clear, we were aware of this, reason why it's in the warehouse is because we do intend to make the PC plate available separately for ISO)
*and wrist rest
It'll still add the standard 10% discount on wrist rest. The cable and lube set, you can take a look if you have a discount for these in the hub (or your email on checkout)
but since it's not essentials for the module, we didn't include it in the configurator with the discount.
Screw in stabilizers š
Best to order now and just cancel your old order yes.
You'll just have to deal with a later shipment date
just in case also put your order on hold in the hub.wooting.io
Amazon pay is not working in every region and in the region it is, it's causing some unexplainable issues.
Thats fine for me, i mean even in the FAQ on the Website you mentioned that ISO issn“t backwards compatible, but this 60 HE + is in other Words the best Version of the Iso Version you can get, cause of the Plate, Foam, new Stabs etc. right ?
Yes
Dammit, and my order for the non + variant is arriving tomorrow š¤
Love it, thats a buy for me š
Guess I'll just throw away the case :/
Thanks can I get the orders cancelled pretty quick has taken a long time before
So I just ordered a 60he like a week or so ago... can I change my order to a 60he+?
YAHOO BATCH ALPHA FOR THIS GLAD I WAITED BEFORE I BOUGHT THE 60HE
hub.wooting.io you can place the order on hold, so it won't ship while the request is processed. You can also request the cancellation there. We process cancellations first, so shouldn't get stuck unless unclear from subject it's for cancellation
Why not do a sitewide sale for the switches and case? Of course these deals show up after I make my purchase haha
Best to place a new order, place old order on hold (hub.wooting.io), and put in a cancellation request for your original order.
You mean sell the switches and case with the discount?
Yea, I wanted to get the L45 but there was no option at that time.
I did get a discount on the case
The reason why we discount the accessories heavily with the Module is because we want to retain most of the value in the keyboard and you owning a Wooting keyboard is far more valuable than an accessory.
(note that most of the work goes into the keyboard and it's what can cause the most cost when it comes to warranty/defects)
The Module price is like a little expensive than excepted. Only 20 CAD differences before tax for Canada. And i got a good RT PCB (Rakka)from China. Cost around 190 CAD before shipping.
Thanks have done, hopefully its done asap as could do with the refunds lol
yea thought so..i used amazon pay the last time so i wanted to use it again but all good...enough other options
it comes with the PC Switch Plate, decent value. Doing the addiitions right now, it seems I've spent an extra $30 by buying separately
Whatās the difference between the current 60he and 60he+
The 20 CAD difference compared with what exactly?
You can't compare this 1 on 1 with a regular PCB, as these already use cheaper/less IC parts, utilize open source software (no costs for seller), come without warranty, and doesn't include all the additional accessories.
You can look on the website and look at the comparison. Then ask specific questions.
20 CAD difference are Case+keycaps+plate differences.
That can't be the case.
in Canada, the excluding tax price is 128eur = 191 CAD. Then depending on your state, need to add tax to it (we ship DDP, so we charge the tax in advance and pay it for you)
@sonic badge Will you guys show the similar love for 60HE to TwoHE soon?
If you start adding all the items and make the comparison, then the pricing is going to end around the assembled price. If you then add the PC plate product in that comparison, the Module ends up being a better deal.
Boss. Anything about 75%? I'm more into that. Haha
and just like that, the release has been delayed by another 5 minutes
We can't do the same things for the two HE, the build structure makes it more difficult to safely make mods without affecting performance. The target group for the two HE wanting to do major mods are also far smaller.
That is just unfortunate.
Yes it is, if we had a larger team, it might have been worth considering, but I need to prioritize and we're behind on a few projects.
Hypothetically, if someone able to rally a huge group of TwoHE owners that are interested in customizing their keyboard, will you and the board members consider it?
yes. There is actually a Reddit user making a custom aluminum case for the two HE. We are providing them with whatever files they need to help with progress
Best to focus direction to that person to motivate the development. Let me see where the post is.
Okay.
As far as I know, regarding the reddit post, it will cost a lot of money to get it.
two he size = large block of aluminum = more cost
with shipping it'll probably ending up costing $400, cant imagine market for that would make this feasible
You guys are doing great, I love this keyboard and never imagined myself ever using a 60%. Hope to see a Wooting mouse of sorts some day.
Awesome news! I hope the prices will remain the same in February as I'm waiting for just a couple of batches to clear out the alumaze60 concrete gray issues.
any discounts for 60he owners? Already received my 45s and Alumaze last week but wanted to try the ISO layout (whats the difference between different ISO pcbs? thought it was only the keycaps)
is the original 60he different to the 60he+ module? in the badseed yt vid he showed he wasnt able to do a o-ring mount due to the screw in stabs.
is there an est. when the ISO PC plate could release? I just ordered a aftermarket one from the states and would want to cancel it if yours is near being released
it's like ā¬60 shipped to Switzerland, would much prefer getting yours
Huge moves, love the discount based configurator of existing store products.
I already own a 60HE with an aftermarket aluminum case. But I don't think I can resist the PC plate, screw in stabs, 1st party case š©
But arenāt the only switches option to work well are the lekker switches?
Check the hub.wooting.io for the discounts (rewards) and/or use the same email as your order and at checkout you'll see the discounts
I got some samples heading to our tester guy to verify everything.
If you can wait, then give it 3 weeks.
You can also get the KS-20 switches and in the future I expect more to come out, if not variations of the KS-20. This is preparing for that fact.
Will it be available for ph?
Am I able to get a partial refund on my lekker switches I ordered awhile ago? Itās still on back order
gotcha', thanks!
Isn't the switch the main thing people want Wooting for? What's the PCBA's selling point?
Two different versions of Wootings switches are available now ā namely L45 (45gf spring) or L60 (60gf spring), and theyād rather not let one set go to waste/collect dust because the other was sought after in the first place
And people took notice of the universal tray mount thing on the og wooting 60HE so theyād buy that, swap cases, let original case collect dust -_-
Should be available now
Perhaps tell me your goal/intention, since your question isnāt giving a complete picture
The switches are the dummy device. Detecting the signal (hall effect sensors) + all the processing happen on the PCBA running our firmware. Thatās where all the value is.
The switches are just switches with a little magnet inside.
I just ordered the module but with a different email address. Can I merge my order with my old wooting hub profile without changing the email address?
Was wondering since itās cheaper if you had bought it with the module but I was unaware of this when I purchased my l45s
If you donāt already own the 60HE and have a case to install it in then itāll be cheaper to go for module + L45
I have my case and keycaps ready, and I was planning to build a board once the module dropped. Because of this in prep I order the L45s when they came in stock. So I was wondering if there was anyway I could get the 50% discount for the L45s even though I already have them ordered separate to the module
Hi Calder, just saw this and I have a few questions. Can the ks-20 that you plan to add actuate at 0.4 like on gateron's site or can it also actuate at 0.1 like the lekkers, since they are the same magnet? I'm keen to know if there are any design changes on the ks-20 that might negatively affect performance or if they work just like the lekkers. Have you found any flaws with them yet? thanks for your time!
Would I be able to get the whole keyboard pre-assembled if I bought the module with switches, caps and case?
Does 60HE+ have a better perfomance on input than 60HE original versionļ¼

In that case best cancel your switches order and place new order with Module.
KS-20 will work and the 60HE can work with per key variations and great variations than the Lekker switch with the upcoming firmware update. However, we haven't check if the KS-20 switch has the exact same magnet gauss et al. This might cause difference.
in short, yes, but no guarantee it'll perform 100% the same.
You'll still need to assemble yourself, all the parts are separated to increase flexibility in choice.
Even though we did make positive changes to the PCBA that sets a reference for upcoming models, the performance is the same.
We just had to add a name differentiator so it's easier to know for some one if it's compatible with the screw-in stabilizer and after-market ISO switch plate.
Thank you for your answer bossš
Which stabs does the module use and are they prelubed?
and what exactly is your profile picture calder? š¤£
it'd be nice if we can choose the cable when we buy the modules, cuz the option is not in it, even better if it comes with bundle discount, also it doesnt say cable included on the website (i know it does, but its only written on #š£āannouncements and not on the product page)
I agree but packaging is probably already done. To my understanding itās not the coiled cable shipped with the module so Iād make more sense if there was an option to get it without cable.
is the original 60he different to the 60he+ module? in the badseed yt vid he showed he wasnt able to do a o-ring mount due to the screw in stabs. can you only use screw in stabs on the 60he+? if i use different stabs can i still o ring?
will the original 60he board get replaced with the he+ module or will you be selling two different SKUs?
My 60he order got delayed by FedEx, can I cancel and swap my order for a 60he+ instead of being forced to throw out the default case it comes with?
It was pretty sneaky of you lot to rush out a whole bunch of orders just to shadowdrop the standalone board
It wasnāt meant to be sneaky I donāt think. But itās not really a good idea to launch a competing product so close to the shipment of an āolderā batch..
Yes, screw in stabs and and polycarb switch plate (instead of steel switch plate) I think thatās it. You can use other screw in stabs but Iām not sure if thatāll make it possible. Honestly cutting the O-Ring and stuffing it in has the exact same effect so itās not a problem really.
Can I add switches to my module order? I donāt really want to cancel my module order and reorder it if Iām gonna be in a later batch
Disregard, just ordered a new one and am cancelling my other 2 orders
Can we have a new thanks letter for 60HE+?
Gateron, yes prelubed.
Itās a picture from when I was testing Wooting one for coil noise
Whatās in the box has the cable. Itās at the end.
Cable is not there because you already receive a cable and other than expensive detachable cables there are no options.
You can still use plate mounted stabilizers and do the oring mount. But itās a bit of a waste.
Assembled 60HE Will also change to the new PCBA compatible with screw in stabs⦠but will stay otherwise exactly the same with steel plate and plate mounted stabs
Module was an open secret, we delayed launch multiple times to be able to handle CS tickets.
There are batches going out weekly at the moment, thereās little to time here.
Once fedex has it in hands there is nothing we can do anymore
Good point.
Why isnāt there an option to opt out of the cable if someone wishes to use it with the coiled cable instead for example? Maybe I misunderstand your reply, not sure.
this is on the landing page for the module near the bottom just noticed it
I was expecting the price to be high because the majority of what wooting sells is TECHNOLOGY
Yep š¤£š¤£š¤£ and the plastic case only worth $20
I bought the module and got a discount on TC keycaps.
But it has an expiry date.
I'm still waiting for the lavender purple TC keycaps, maybe I'm a little selfish, but until that color is available, will people who have bought the module still have a discount?
are you guys planning on releasing the Wooting 60HE with the metal case in the future? I don't really know how to put together everything
i know u can get metal case with thte module, but i dont wanna put things together myself, maybe they are planning on releasing the factory assembled metal case wooting later?
They won't.
Because then there will be no point for them to release the module.
And for all the respects, they're will not release a factory assembled metal case wooting for someone that are too lazy to put 4 screws into the case š«”
There is no opt out because the cable is inside the box. The cable being optional would increase overall cost by packaging and logistics. It would probably at least take 70% of the cost of the cable itself.
The lavender TC Keycaps might not make it. But in my opinion it should get at least 1 run
No assembled 60HE metal planned yet but I can see the appeal for certain end users. Would need to think it over.
Yeah, that's fine. Hopefully to see it soon.
Ugh this sucks - I got my 60HE and PC plate separately just over a month ago and now this comes along. I wouldnāt care except for the better stabilizers and better factory lubed switches
one thing i cant find is the thickness of the PCBA, if i want to test different stabs which size do i need? 1.2mm or 1.6mm?
i must be blind where does it show the thickness?
ctl+f in the keyboard_modding channel, 1.6mm with 6.25 apparently, should have looked there 1st. thanks
is the first batch of orders that arrive jan/feb already full?
Maybe something to change in the future? It seems kind of counterintuitive as less people would buy the coiled cable with the module if it already ships with a standard cable and the standard cable would be a waste to the people that do buy the coiled cable. š
With opting in or out I mean selling the cable separately. Would be nice to be able to buy a replacement cable (not coiled) if yours breaks. From my understanding not all usb-c cables are compatible with the 60he so then youād have something you know works.
TX AP stabs then, another lvl of perfection š
this is very cool
Separating the cable costs more than including it in the box when it comes to packaging, logistics, and overhead. It will not have any significant savings on the price point.
š
Hello, do you happen to remember that reddit post or reddit user? I want to try to make a case too
I believe so
