60HE with a mix of official Keycaps. Top plate has been blacked out with RAL9005 to deaden the backlight.
Case is Alumaze 60.

Wow, that's a truly amazing change!

What's RAL9095?

I might do the same, but does anybody have an idea how to get an extra top plate for Wooting 60HE?

Thank you @obsidian magnet ! 🙇‍♂️
RAL9005 is the color code for Jet Black. Would have loved to go with something even more absorbent, but it would probably have made little to no difference as most of the remaining backlight bleed originates from north-facing LED's shining against keycaps/top-inner side of case.

Wooting now actually sells the PC Switch plate separately on their website as well:

Downside to this is that they only do ANSI... so no use if you own an ISO variant. BUT! Wooting guys are really cool usually and I would personally send them an email to see whether they could maybe sell the ISO variant to you "under the counter" so to speak. I know I did so with beQuiet! in the past that they did not have a solid PC case panel on web, but after asking them nicely, they sold me one anyway.
Hope this helps! 🍻

Thank you for providing detailed information about the PC switch plate.

I'm based in the UK and already own a Wooting 60HE ANSI version. Consequently, I am aware that sourcing ISO parts, particularly for modifications, can be challenging from third-party vendors.

The original Wooting 60HE comes with an "SGCC steel switch plate," and that's hard to find as an original part, which is what I'm currently trying to locate. I know I can use the original, but I personally want to keep two of them, one in white and one in black, so I can switch between them from time to time.

I did check out the URL you provided for the PC Switch Plate Kit for Wooting 60HE - this plate is made of polycarbonate, so I wasn't very sure about that.

Do you happen to have additional pictures of your keyboard with different LED colors illuminating all the keycaps? I am particularly interested in gaining a better understanding of the aesthetics when utilizing the black version for the PC switch plates.

Here are some of the default presets which come with the 60HE at 100% brightness.
The images are not great, but as you can see, the main glow comes from keycaps and is still distracting, but the black plate itself is working its magic and is blocking a bunch of the glow.
... there's a reason why I do not enable RGB on the white keycaps. 😄

Thank you for the lovely pictures, and your keyboard looks amazing.

I believe I understand why there is too much afterglow effect from the keyboard. If you look inside the keycap, there is a white shell that actually helps bounce more light into the board, causing excessive afterglow. However, if the keycaps are black on the outside and have a black inner shell (around the edges but not on the top layer), this should reduce the bounce of light into the PCB plate. Another feature to consider is using frosted transparent LEDs to decrease brightness, and the afterglow effect will be greatly reduced.

I'm trying to achieve a setup more like the Apex Mini Pro keyboard, which I used to have, with minimal afterglow effect.
