Hi,

from my point of view the whole wooting concept is more gaming oriented than any other directions. As a gamer and user of several gaming switches with lower travel distance (3,2mm instead of 4mm) I can share my experience:
The change from my previous gaming switches towards 4mm switches is a downgrade and really need some time to get used to the standard 4mm. There are more and more gaming switches with lower travel distances on the market (normal mechanical switches) and I would love to see a lekker gaming switch with 3mm travel distance.

Since all gamers are using rapid trigger and faster actuation points the last 2mm of the switch are more or less useless so cutting the last 1mm off would be no problem.

There are currently no other magnetic switches on the market so your chance to shine!

And btw: Why is there no PC ISO plate but only ANSI? There are no other ISO PC plates out there which are supporting plate mounted stabilizer afaik. Also a corner of the market which you can fill!

we do have an ISO PC plate in the works but the issue was stand off points interfering. for the switches with lower travel distance im not sure if its beneficial to analog related inputs. you can always test how it feels by basically putting ceramic beads under the keycap which effectively shortens the travel no matter the switch.

True, but a gaming switch as an optional purchase for all who don't need analog inputs? Would be nice

# kindred sun then why buy a wooting?

The best rapid trigger implementation out of their competitors, best adjustable actuation, and excellent modding capability. Sure analog input is cool, but that's a pretty niche feature compared to what a lot of people are buying a wooting for.

it's not like the standard 4mm travel switches would disappear and analog inputs are useless. Though it is niche, there is a clear market for that. Having a long pole switch would market more to those who want an even faster experience, and I for one would love to have that option available.
