Hi, just got my wooting keyboard today and try using this profile for cs2: https://profiles.wooting.io/profile/3ee889e23241504ed8f0bab992ba60e8e160

After applied, there is something weird happen when I press W move forward its sometime move backward and also for A and D it also move opposite, its seem like wooting speed and the game speed is not sync together XD

Anyone faced problem wooting with CS2 like me here?

not right now at least

#

also cs2 in general is just broken so the Wooting requires self testing and tweaking

gotcha, thanks!

# spare swallow use dks

dks is useless in cs2, run a practice map and type in console cl_showpos 1 and you will see with dks when you release the key (A or D) it still has some velocity for short period of time. Counter strafe needs to be instant

digital cosmos

while it works perfect, auto counterstrafe with dks feels very unnatural

#

you might have better luck learning to counterstrafe but use rapid fire, it's already a huge advantage over a regular keyboard

is it correctly understood that with DKS configured for auto counter-strafe, it will not come to a complete stop, but rather drastically reduce the drag/ice skating feeling?

digital cosmos
#

if you configure DKS for auto-counterstrafe, you'll lose velocity yes but it's going to feel really weird because the software/keeb is sending inputs to CS that you're pressing one button after another

#

you should try it yourself in-game in a DM and see how it feels

I configured DKS for auto-counterstrafe and tried it in-game and then swapped to “normal” to feel the difference and the above is how I felt it. But honestly a bit uncertain whether anything is actually changing, tried to de-sub tick CS as others have mentioned, but couldn’t really feel anything different.

CS2 uses momentum in its movement and you need to take a look at the velocity of your movement

#

With auto-counter Strafe in theory you’ll push D and it’ll press A automatically for you, bringing your velocity to 0 instantly as you swing wide

#

But in my testing even with de sub tick it doesn’t do that

#

It works but it’s awkward, so I always suggest using rapid fire mode with a low actuation point to counter Strafe easier

0.1 would be too sensitive, meaning if you have your fingers on other keys the slightest amount of pressure will trigger the switch

#

I messed around with 0.3 but I think personally I'm at 0.5

#

Sorry i'm actually at 0.4
