#USB pass through and my first impressions

I've just received and unpacked the keyboard about 30 minutes ago, so here's my very first impressions. I have a very weird use case scenario right now: I have no computer. Instead I have the keyboard connect to my Samsung Galaxy tab s8 plus. So I have no access to the software.

I am so imporessed that you have the wootility web app. I bought an ROG mouse, and got rid of it because I just hated the invasive software. The Wootility app doesn't work with Google chrome, Brave, or the downloaded wootility chrome app. Yea, it's android so it's a weird setup, understandable

The RGB is quite pretty and bright, and I say that as a person who always turns off RGB. I am on a mobile device so I can see it just chewing through my battery fairly quickly. It's a complaint, though I wouldn't say to do anything about it. Pre-set macros are never nice and overwhelming, and any physical switch adds to unit cost for little benefit for most people.

I also hear some coil whine at about khz at about 30 decibels. It is just about noticeable despite me living by a motor way.

When I'll have the chance to settle down finally, I will definately pair this keyboard with a numpad with function keys (hint hint good product) as I need one for my job. USB3.2, hell even 3.0 already supports plenty of bandwidth, It would be nice to have some passthrough to connect a numpad, making cable management easier, or some gamer connecting their wireless dongle for a mouse there. Yea, you'll need to put an insert into the tooling and change up your circuit board, but honestly that would be a killer feature, especially if both ports were redundant for input.

Yea, thats about it. I won't really get to really try out till much later, but it looks pretty cool

Just as an extra, I am using a certified USB4 cable for the keyboard

android cant use wootility (same for iphone) because the operating system doesnt support webhid in general

and to the passthrough: this has to be though about quite well (doesnt even need usb3 btw for a keyboard and keypad) since the usb data lines would be open air to the controller for it. this means any rgb and magnets can easil cause an influence on them although the more likely case is that its the other way around where the usb data/power causes issues on the analog lines. not saying its 100% an issue just something we would need to carefully consider

and of course the fact our keyboards already max out a single usb port and then some at max brightness power wise
