I were typing on the keyboard and it started acting very strangly with ghost typing and deleting of letters..

I unplugged it and plugged it back in and did a pc reboot..

Now the whole right side of the keyboard doesn’t work! (Enter, delete, æ, ø, å, Rshift, fn, ctrl, menu, .,

The keyboard is less than 1 week old!

Attached a video to showcase..

Firmware is updated, using desktop app.

I checked for keyboard settings in Windows and everything is as it should be..

What do i do??? Seems like a faulty unit?

I tried swapping to another keyboard profile, this fixed the issue.....

What the frick have happened to the other profile - I'll attach some photos to showcase the profile (The wooting app wasn't opened when this happened, also no changes have been done)

I don't see which setting should disable 1/10 of the keyboard? :<

This may have been the result of a bad calibration.

When the keyboard powers up, in the first few seconds, it records the resting position of each key and uses that as a reference to know when it is being pressed. If it records a bad data set, it can cause issues as you are describing.

There are a few ways it can result in a bad calibration.

  • Keys being pressed
  • Magnets Near the sensors
  • Strong EMI (Electromagnetic interference)
  • Wireless charger Near or below the keyboard

To force a recalibration, follow these steps:

  1. Unplug the keyboard.
  2. Plug it back in.
  3. Wait 5 seconds before pressing any keys.

Very wierd! There is no magnets / wireless chargers anywhere near

Do you know if there is a way to delete extra profiles, so i only have 2?

Sometimes after reboot when i use FN+ENTER which is the keybind for switching between profiles, it goes to one of the two profiles i don't have setup

#

But thanks! The issue is gone now - Ended disabling tachyone mode which made it work.. Haven't had any issues even after enabling it againæø-+´åæø

Can't delete them. But you can remove the keybinds that change to them.

#

It doesn't fix the root cause though.

#

in regards to removing profiles that is not possible

you can unbind the keybind/Shortcut to change profiles in "FN layer 1"
in wootility by going to the "Remap Tab" selecting "FN layer 1" and Right clicking

If you are experiencing difficulty typing, could you try using another keyboard or utilize the Windows 'On-Screen Keyboard'? or even you'r phone?

I have re-watched the video a few times, and the grouping of the keys might indicate a faulty MUX (multiplexer). should of noticed it first watching thought it was more isolated to a few keys (my bad)
(I'm not sure if a multiplexer can exhibit that problem if power requirements are not met.)

Also, the part where disabling Tachyon mode ended up solving the problem. It may be that the keyboard is not receiving enough power. You could attempt to lower the power draw further by disabling the LED or reducing the brightness to 0%.

So sorry for the spam!

My keyboard is for sure faulty in some way..

It's writing the above every 1-5 min ish

#

It's just basically mashing the keys that were defective before.

This happens in all my profiles

#

All the messages above was sent while i was away from the computer.

I've tested and it's for sure they keyboard.. As soon as i unplug it, and switch to my old, it's back to normal..

What the frick is going on with my keyboard? 😦 😦

my assumption is that a component on the PCBA the Mux (Multiplexer) is faulty

you will need to contact wooting at email

Modal: Wooting 60HE

problem: Keyboard pressing buttons (right Side)

Timeline: problems occurred after a week of use

Attempted:
- Firmware update

Note from "wootHelp untamedx2"
From the provided video and commented behavior in Discord, it seems to be related to the multiplexer. There is a high likelihood that it is faulty
