#Clarity of Needing to Confirm Shipping Address

I just wanted to say that I don't think that I saw anywhere other than the #📦│batch_updates channel that I had to confirm my address to get my order to ship, which is a bit of a shame as I'm a few days late to the party compared to the rest of my batch. Not a huge deal, but also seems a bit pointless when I've already input all of it and confirmed payment.

[you're also supposed to get an email asking for the same thing]

This system was initially put in place because it used to be that you'd wait months for your order to be ready to ship, and we need to make sure in case people forgot and moved somewhere in that time

These days, the time from order to shipping the board is less, but we'd rather send orders to the correct place and not deal with any edge cases

I'd expect once we are able to be on top of stock, orders will ship out immediately and you won't have to confirm your address again after ordering (like any other in stock purchase)

And yes like xx said you should have also received an email about it

yeah, i did receive the email, but I had no reason to expect that i was going to get an email in the first place (i also haven't participated in group buys before so maybe it's just me that's out of the loop)

#

i had just been checking the wooting hub site and without going into the order submenu, nothing had visually changed

#

it isn't mentioned in the order confirmation or other emails i recieved around order time that i would need to re-confirm anything when the batch was ready for shipment, so it just seems like it was not clearly communicated beforehand

The order would ship out automatically. And it is definitely not a pointless email.
