I'd love to be able to use my wooting 60he with wireless using a receiver/sender that could plug into the usb c port on the keyboard and then another end that could plug into a pc/laptop

Battery is the main issue here.

#

Also latency

wait battery didnt think about that

# arctic dock Also latency

latency is actually not an issue if engineered right. pretty sure at some point i chatted with our EE about this

mild tree
#

There's even a wireless mouse that has less latency than a lot of wired ones lol

How about 80HE?

mild tree
#

The battery is the issue

#

It scans constantly instead of only getting an electrical signal when a key activates

I´m asking for a wireless version for years now. One can dream 😄
Anyhow, there is this thing i found that is supposed to do exactly what you´re asking for. How viable this is for the Wootings and if it even works, no idea. I might try it once my 80HE arrives.

currently our keyboards sap around 750-950mAh so at 4900mAh like the adapter has thats roughly 4-5hrs avg before its completely dead

at least the beauty is that it has regular 21700 cells. so you could technically just pop a new one in and continue. IF it works as advertised

bluetooth would be terrible for a performance oriented product like wooting, 2.4 ghz however could do the trick

OP was asking for "wireless" in general. Which this would possibly provide 🙂
But in general you´re right of course.
If anything i would love a tri-mode implementation in a future product with FN switching (not a physical button). Think of it as the Epomaker type of implementation. Not the Keychron/Asus type.

I wonder now, are those keyboards which have this tri-mode implementation specced with huge batteries or do they draw immensively less power than the wooting .. and if so, what is sacrificed? I've seen HE boards which claim to have good wireless latency, too

there is something wrong with people if they want wireless keyboard for gaming.. literally it doesn't move, it sits on your table...

#

and latency penalty of going wireless isnt worth it, for mouse it is in my opinion - becuase thats part which actively moves, and having cable is kinda annoying feels like its holding you back

#

If its possible to just switch modes then sure, like mouse, however it would need to be implemented without any compromises or sacrifices, if it can't be implemented without any sacrifices then i wouldn't want it, i dont want to ruin quality or latency when its wired just because wireless tech has been implemented

#

Like are you trying to game from your couch or bed or what so you need wireless, i don't fully understand it

steep sable
#

yeah it's true, the only reason i would enjoy it is because then i could take my gaming kb to my home office desk and then i wouldn't even mind bluetooth lag xD

#

for a mouse i would never go back to wired

# sudden bolt there is something wrong with people if they want wireless keyboard for gaming.....

why would there be "something wrong". that´s just a weird thing to say my dude. So it´s the same for you for wireless mice, and something like a Pro X Superlight is for mad people? Give me a break 😄

There are lots of different use cases that you might not be able to imagine but that are true for other people.

I for one want one really good keyboard on my desk (preferably a Wooting). But i also want less cable clutter and be able to use it on all 3 (yes three) machines i use on the regular. Work PC, Gaming PC and a MAC. That are all hooked up to my main desk.
With a tri-mode keyboard i can seamlessly switch between all of them and have them connected via the preferred method for the use case.
Wired -> Gaming PC
2.4GHz -> Work PC
Bluetooth -> MAC

P.S.: There are Hall-Effect Keyboards out there that have Tri-Mode wireless connectivity already. For example the Akko MOD007B-HE that i´m currently using.
It´s nice, but it´s not a Wooting and has it´s flaws.

ive heard of tmr switches, wich eliminate the battery issue by being way more efficient and also slightly more accurate than „normal“ hall effect switches. dont know if wooting is working on them or not but that would be huge

so they still just need polishing in order to be a viable solution for wooting and we could see them in the far future some time

I been patiently asking Wooting through their livestream chat for a wireless keyboard for years. They’ve consistently assured me that they could create a product, but the battery life would only be around 14 hours. For me, 14 hours is perfectly sufficient, so their attempt to develop a keyboard that lasts for days might be a future product. Alternatively, they could integrate a built in wireless charging coil, similar to the Angry Miao keyboard products - https://youtu.be/lfyxgdyyo2I?si=GK1FDLYox33A1ZHa

The AM 65 Less or AM Compact Touch is a new board by Angry Miao. It features a touch panel with some really awesome functions on the front and it works pretty well. I really didn't touch how comfy this was going to be, but it ended up being outstanding and working extremely well.

I wasn't a fan of the lack of split back space but it's not a de...

Hidden Wireless charger + wireless charging coil on keyboard = better than a wired keyboard 🤪

because the people that want wireless dont want anything attached to the keyboard

#

thats the whole point

#

so it all needs to be in the keyboard
