One thing I didn't consider was the texture and feel of a higher end key cap.
Really adds to the typing experience.

The table top is the Ikea 'Karlby 'in Walnut (this is the 186cm, there is a 246cm version available)
The frame is the Ikea 'Bekant', this is the 140x60cm version which doesn't protrude the table depth (although i did offset 15cm from centre so that i could push the desk up against the wall and not have the table feet hit first).

A few extra details in the desk build.
The net comes with the desk frame, but in addition I added some self adhesive trunking to manage the cable runs, as well as have the power and ethernet switches neatly arranged.

Also bonus usb hub mainly for wireless dongles.
