#Wrist Rest silicone peels off - any DIY solutions?

Hello,
So I have Wotting 2HE along with Black Full Size Wooting Wrist Rest, for few years now.

Lately I have noticed that in 2 places where my writs are touching it, the top "layer" of silicone stared to peel off or something - leaving 2 ugly stains.
I thought its just a layer of fat from my hands, however after washing wrist rest, it went further and now it looks like on the photo + it became a little sticky as well.

Does any one have any idea for a DIY fix that I could apply? I would like to avoid getting new one, just because of aesthetics. Its still usabe.
