That board has touched more grass than I have
guess you should go outside for once
Which FR4 Plate? Just a standard one?
custom made, standard plates dont fit wthe wooting, made with the dxf file from their github
Where? Is there a german shop that does it?
sound test
here ya go. Only mods done are, lubing and filiming switches + plate swap. (no case foam or anything else)
no, it was oder on jlcpcb. was like 40€ for 5 pieces (which was the order minimum)
Wanna sell me one of them?
Sure why not, pm me
did another quick mod
Keycaps?
glorious gpbt
Have u had any weird misinputs or any other issues with the lowest actuation/rapid trigger cuz of the fr4 plate?
im getting some occasional double input on lowest rappid trigger and actuation, but other then that no.
I just bumped it up to 0.2 for both and now they are pretty solid. This is most likely down to me filming my switches as they were perfect right befor that. The Fr4 plate isl also 1.6 mm thick as this is the standard pcb thickness. so the extra 0.1mm and switch films cause some slight inconsistencies.
Im also runnning a longer then recommendet cable so who knows what exactly causes this
probably a mixture of all of them, but your easiest fix is to try a regular cable and report back here with your findings
even though I would love to make my own plate, and i have all the resources to do so, I would rather buy the module that they're releasing with their own PC plate
the issue is, my pc is to far away to use the standard wooting cable.
How far away is it, I would like to see how you have it. I mounted mine underneath my desk so its definitely easy to attach stuff.
By that statement, I'm assuming its the switch foam instead. Is this happening on some keys or on most of them
only on my c key, dont have the switch foams in use anymore
And is it still happening
sometimes with t aswell, very rarely
i guess its down to the palte beeing 1.6mm instead of the 1.5mm. im also not running tachyon or rgb on because my cable is longer then its supposed to be
Yeah I see, your best bet I would assume is to just replace the problem switches
ill prolly just sand down the standoffs .1mm, that should fix my problems aswell
Good luck bro, I cant wait to hear it
That thing looks like a dream to type on lol
sound test is already posted yesterday
definitely a very nice creamy sound, with that signature lekker clack
it would be if the whole pcb assembly wasnt so stiff lol
alot of the sound actually comes from the case, the savaltion is know to be clacky
Does that case have a lot of flex
Yea
not really flexy more like a trampoline the pcb assembly is still pretty rigidit
changed to a higher quality custom cable, which get made by some guy on reddit and now the double inputs are gone.
Hell yeah bro
How much of a difference did filming do to the sound?
Check out for yourself #🔧│keyboard_modding message
Lube is some random 205g0 from aliexpress and g105 from krytox, don’t have a link for those. Keycaps were glorious gpbt keycaps https://amzn.eu/d/7FTHT5W
Same keycaps, just different lighting + some filers I think
Case is the wilba. Tech salvation
Yea
after narrowing down my mods a bith further and swapping the stabs this is the sound my wooting currently has.
