US customer here. The store page for the Wooting 2 HE shows a different set of keycaps compared to the Wooting PBT ANSI keycap set available separately. Specifically the A1 A2 A3 Mode keys are replaced with M1 M2 M3 MR (but by default these are still Analog Profile keys and not macro keys? So why the change?). But when you go to checkout, the keycap selection screen shows the set with the A1 A2 A3 Mode keys. And reviews of this board show it used to come with ABS keycaps for ANSI layout with the A1-A3 keys and a different spacebar. So this is all very confusing.

If I order today, will the board come with A1-A3 keys or M1-M3 keys?

The A1-A3 keys are for ABS keycaps specifically. The PBT keycap sets use the M1-M3 style.

#

ANSI keyboards always come with PBT preinstalled from the factory.

I don't see the A1 style ABS keycap photos shown anywhere that ABS isn't specifically selected. So I don't know how you could have seen these.

That's odd.

#

I'll have to pass this one up the totempole and figure out what's going on there.

Thanks for the confirmation. Hope the visuals on the site get sorted out.

FWIW this video shows the keycap set available separately does have PBT versions of A1 A2 etc as advertised https://youtu.be/rGE3qy77P2g

Not sure why those keycaps wouldn’t be used on the board by default unless it’s just a design decision

I've gone through all of our product photos, and I cannot find anything that isn't A1-A3. No sign of any Mxxx keys

Alright - I have an aswer now, @whole quiver

So we USED to have keycaps with the M1-M3 labelling. But we've replaced that with the A1-A3 format going forward. You shouldn't be able to find any M1-M3 style boards or keycaps anywhere from us, only pre-owned on ebay and such from old stock (older than summer last year or more)
