#Key ignore multi press

I'm trying to figure out a way to modify the behavior of my keyboard wherein if W is being held, I want the S key to be ignore until the W key is released.

I am unable to find a way to do this without using bannable 3rd party software like autohotkey

Any idea if this is possible using Wooting's software?

because its not possible in our software

what im techincally trying to do is to make W and S ghost each other. So that the button that is pressed first has more prio and ignores the other if it is also pressed after it

and if you think about is it is similar to how it is impossible for joysticks to be pulled in different directions at the same time

what youre describing is usually called SOCD

#

we do plan to add SOCD behaviour at some point but thats far in the future

ah alright

any clue if there exists another third party program i could use?

no idea. this is something usually used in the fighting game scene

hello, sorry to bud in. I'm a fighting game player and recently decided to switch from hitbox to my wooting kbd for SF6. hold down+ up == up behavior is the only thing im missing tbh, other than that it works like a dream. Im really happy you guys are thinking about implementing it, i'm very excited for it. Is there any alpha version of this feature? Even if it's not an ideal implementation i for one would love to be able to try it. I know there's a way to achieve this with autohotkey but rumor is it adds quite a bit of input delay, so having it in wootility instead would be much prefered.

this feature isnt implemented in any test build. down + up is also no input order.

feral hatch

sorry, i mean pressing up to override the held down input

ah well we did think about implementing SOCD (as in having a feature that determines which opposing direction wins the fight usually determined by order of pressing) but its not super high priority right now

ah i see. Makes sense that you wouldnt be focusing on it since not a lot of people would care about SOCD. Is it proving challenging to implement? I'm interested in the technical side of having such a feature on the firmware level

also, does wootility provide a way to do scripts like AutoHotKey? I'm thinking if it would be possible to recreate an autohotkey socd script in that

no just use AHK if you need scripted key output
