I've worked on updating the PUBG analog profile, but bluehole made a real drastic change. They force the controller mapping scheme, not allowing the customization anymore in the config file it seems. They also somehow took away the walk speed scaling while walking. Only parachute works as expected, but driving now requires to use RT/LT

I sent the wooting two KS link to a few friends and explained my experience on my one. When explaining how you basically map gamepad keys over they keyboard keys it raised the question of creating custom scancodes. I believe wooting software simply uses xinput values such as XINPUT_GAMEPAD_A. Is it possible to have it use other scancodes (not default ones)?

And since you can obviously flash different firmware on the keyboards... custom scan codes too are possible. The real question is whether or not it'll happen; it's a very niche feature and it would potentially take time away from more pressing, "mainstream" tasks.

@cunning bloom Sounds like a @karmic yarrow question. But if this helps answering: The software only configures the keyboard settings, doesn't do any of the input processing.

The Wooting one is also a controller and can output Xinput and DirectInput commands.

It also outputs custom analog values that are accessible with the Wooting developer portal.

No such thing sadly. Bethesda don't like analogue.

Skyrim and Fallout 4 (maybe 3/NV as well) don't let you use the controller and mouse at the same time. It swaps between the two back and forth, giving you a very bad experience.

There are mods for the game that are supposed to help, but I haven't had luck with them so far.

Even when binding them again the won't work correctly, I've tried it but the game does recognise the controller. It will however only walk wackward, pressing W slows balkwards walking down. Fully pressed it stops thew character.

Hi all, new to Wooting (Go Wooting Two!), and pretty new to Discord too! So excited to get my Wooting today, I've had a go at creating a profile for Spintires: Mudrunner, in a suitable shade of mud brown - I'd really appreciate if someone could give it a look and see how it plays! Where do "accepted" profiles get posted, is there a page for them somewhere?

I feel like the throttle doesn't seem to come in quick enough even on the aggressive analogue curve, though that might be that way the game is programmed to read a regular Xbox controller? Also I've not had much luck getting the menu buttons to work - I'm going to keep iterating and see what I can come up with. It also doesn't seem to play that nicely with the way the in-game menus work (i.e. advanced vehicle functions), not sure what's going on there. But, I have wedged a couple of vehicles deep in mud and managed to slowly crawl out with the analogue mode, which is fantastic!

Edit: After a little fine tuning I've come up with the following. It feels a LOT better at low throttle!

There is some setup however:
1: You must open CS:GO and go into Settings > Controller > Controller Enabled and set it to "Enabled"
2: You must unbind the W, A, S, D Keys and enable joystick 1

I've made a little bind toggle for 2:

Anyone played Prey recently with working analog movement? It's supposed to work according to the compatibility list, but when I've tried your analog gets reset whenever you get in range of something you can interact with. And so you have to release the analog(wasd) to get moving again. Also seen forum posts on the Steam hub mentioning playing it with a controller and mouse, making me believe even more that there must've been an update breaking it.

Yeah I've tried. I've seen games get confused once you hit a mouse button, but Prey gets confused simply by the mouse moving. It works perfectly fine together, but once a button prompt appears it spazzes.

@long pawn Yes i do, however its not perfect because FH4 doesn't support simultaneous use of analog and keyboard.
This means that digital keys had to be disabled, and a lot of keys are remapped ingame.

The profile code is: 68f9b6b8-3fe5-4d8a-9328-b29f15a0ebce
- You might wanna change the "a" controller binding to "enter" if you are used to that.
- You might want to rebind "left trigger" to "s"
- You might want to rebind "left bumper" to the desired e-brake key.

This profile also has some DKS bindings in it, But i don't know if they import correctly as they didn't for me.
- "0" numpad key is set to space, to enter drive when in game menu
- "7" numpad key is bound to "page up" to scroll through menu tabs
- "9" numpad key is bound to "page up" to scroll through menu tabs
- "Tab" is set to press and release "m" and on the up-travel press and release "escape" for quick map access.
- "s" is set to down arrow for menu navigation, if you rebind your analog bind from "control" to "s", make sure to also set "left stick down" to "s", if so, this DKS isnt needed.
- you may remove the DKS bindings from "c" and "f", those are for my personal use :P
- "1", "2", "3" & "4" are dks bound to themselves, so "1", "2", "3" & "4", in this case they can still be sued for ANNA and quickchat.

Works also perfect on riding - double W (etc.) press for gallop
Use a combination of Analog and DKS
Because DKS overwrites WASD, no need to setup anything in the game for this profile.

You can make melee less sensitive by only activating it on the bottom out of the keypress
I highly suggest that as melee in apex stuns you from doing any other action for a solid 2.5 seconds.

Hi guys, can anyone direct me on how to properly apply analog function in GTA San Andreas? I have Silent's GInput and all the following Wooting files he made, but no sign of analog input. I'm using Win 10 and a Laptop and of course I'm using one of the analog profiles on the KB (W2) itself. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm not that savvy when it comes to keyboards and the only thing I'm interested and familiar with is the analog input Wooting keyboards provide and also considering GTA SA was made to have pressure sensitive input back in the day - PS2, plus Silent's software support, I thought there won't be any troubles implementing it straight away. Far Cry 2 - Wooting friendly. Hardcoded bindings for vehicles redone so you can accelerate in vehicles with the LY axis. Creating a seamless transition from on-foot to vehicles.
Unpack and overwrite to: .\Far Cry 2\Data_Win32\ backup original patch.dat and patch.fat if you find it necessary. Advanced tweaks for modern systems are also included. Such as removal of the mouse filter affecting high DPI mice.

@woeful ridge np, tell me if you need help, just one problem with Forza, you can't type using the analog profile, so keep that in mind (and if you have a wooting one, you'll have to rebind three keys for gear shifting - left stick up, x, left stick down)

Ok @rustic glade I was able to get TF2 working pretty simply: (profile code: e0ba0a0e-1e3a-4952-a3e9-c2d615b515c5)

  1. remove w,s,a,d from the keyboard bindings ingame (because you wont need them anymore)
  2. go into console and type joystick 1
  3. enjoy

copy it into your clipboard, open the wootility and the buttong "create profile" should change to "import profile"

It may be because Star Citizen has also it's own analog curve settings

With that setting, sometimes I can have in between states (walking instead of running) usually around the ~3mm. The character doesn't move until there.

It's hard to test and I found a setting which I'm happy with so I'll call it a day

If I had a suggestion, it would be to have a visual feedback of how much the key is pressed in the wootility

So that we can decide exactly where it should start to ramp up based on how much we press a key

I tried building a no man's sky analog profile, but unfortunately, because of the way the controller buttons are used depending on context, it makes it impossible to map these keys on the keyboard

I haven't tested it yet, but I'm hoping that mapping only the "wasd" keys for the analog movement would at least solve that, as sometimes you need a bit more granularity when it comes to moving the character or positioning things in build mode

Or in other words : Skyrim by default doesn't handle analog and mouse at the same time, so it doesn't work with wooting's analog feature, however with a mod (that's actually an ini file) it can be made to work with wooting's analog feature

There's a mod that allows the use of both the keyboard and the game pad, this mod does not allow the use of the mouse with the game pad. We've had this issue over on the Steam Controller discord since forever and it's persistent in basically all Bethesda games.

@prime smelt the keyboard is recognized as a controller as well. It will often take slot 1, this moves your regular controller to slot 2.

Windows doesn’t allow you to assign the slots (like on a console). Other than unplugging controllers, restart PC, then plug in order.

You can alternatively go into the Wootility settings and turn off Xinput. Then the wooting controller is turned off.

Thing is, tge thing you want isnt a keystroke (Dynamic KeyStroke), its a macro

Your idea would need logic to function, being something along the lines of 'if key released and has been fully pressed down, send altgr, else, send a', its just not a job for DKS

It'd also mean you characters would send on the upstroke, making typing very likely uncomfortable

This seems to provide the desired functionality (I tested with ctrl+a) but typing on the upstroke does cause me to mix up letters pretty often as expected.

I don't have any characters bound to alt but this gives me 'a' on shallow as usual then does a janky backspace to give me 'A' on the upstroke. This is also not a pleasant typing experience for me. It's easier and faster to use the modifier key in both cases.

Gloomy was attempting to send one character on a shallow stroke and another on a deep stroke.

Higher actuation force would make it easier to not bottom out unless you wanted to but it would still have the issue of needing a delay after a deep press for the backspace logic to finish or needing to wait until the upstroke to decide which key to press.

Depending on how you type it may help you to have another key (like caps lock) send RightAlt so it's easier to press or to use.
