TL:DR GPU is more important in FPS performance. If you choose a benchmark scenario where it is CPU limited, then Ryzen IPC shines (+20% vs Intel 10-series which is impressive). But for most gamers under normal scenarios, CPU is not the limiting factor (at least, when comparing top-stack CPUs).
Edit: Also gives a roadmap to Intel and userbenchmarks on how to "game" the benchmarks with careful GPU, memory condition selection, and game settings.

NVME 3.0 maxes out at around 3400 max. Theoretical.
These speeds won't happen once you benchmark random transfers or really big sequential ones.
trying to find that blind test Linus did a while back that basically showed that... you can't tell the difference between SATA and NVME for regular PC use.
Gotta copy large files or video edit.

the thing with 144hz is, if you have freesync on it which hopefully is also gsync compatible, you won't get any tearing since the ingame fps will sync with the refresh rate
