The best is to get a good charge controller and let it handle the cells.

I really wish that was true, there are sadly a lot of things that are worse.

Weirdly enough outside of wooting my best mouse / keyboard software experience has been with kingston (hyperx) and sharkoon (actually a4 tech).
Sure the software is not pretty but it works and does what it's supposed to while not taking up all the cpu / ram in the background.

Logitech software worked fine about a decade ago
