Yea. Thats why it took so long. When they tested my pc, it only showed off behavior but nothing too concerning. They then tested each individual component, including the graphics card and sound card i didnt purchase with them, all service including. When they tried testing the cpu, it became obvious.
They were amazed my pc only had loud fans and only the occasional bios reset when their test bed couldnt even boot

I am pretty sure the reason it went this way is, because tying the old devices to only be usable with a dacebook account, would not be sustainable legally.
Thus they just stopped production and only keep the newer quest 2. I also think the quest 2 may have originally been designed as a lower cost model.

It might be due audiomixing (per audio application/source) being set lower than system volume causing sometimes audio that is way lower than it should. At least that is what is the most common issue I have relating to audio being too low on windows.

the volume of the sources is abolute while adjusments will change this relative while keeping the volume ratio. New sources seem to also get partial volumes and not maximum (=master volume)
Changing one device to more than the master is enough to confuse me
So while your system volume is 100% the devices/application can be set to 30% and it would play 30% at most the system volume would change where this would end up in the scale
what about a shadow update that breaks the network device 15 minutes before something important
