Alright. Got a mail back from the webshop. They say that any memory clock above 2933 is considered an overclock, because up till then its officially supported. The xmp profile is more meant for intel systems. They suggest that i should try to put the clock as high as possible without experiencing instability. I cant get a full refund on the memory because i altered it beyond specs at some point which voids the warrenty the company that makes the memory gives out. So if i want a refund, it would more be a used price refund. So im gonna go down a step until i hit a stable clock. Since my sound card was able to crash due to its instability, its a good gauge as to when its unstable.

Top speed listed is 4400 although they have a disclaimer at the bottom of the list: "When running XMP at DDR4 3200MHz or higher, the system’s stability depends on the CPU’s capabilities."

Iirc you use the Hynix version of the same kit. Try increasing voltage (stay within spec on the DRAM modules), or compare with 1usmus DRAM calc and specifically loosen timings it gives you a higher suggested timing for

this is my fourth system. i had problems before. my first system had faulty memory. after an hour, system became unstable. it couldnt retrieve the info stored on the memory. i had to turn off pc and cut power and after a few minutes, so the memory got reset
that was a clear case
on my third system, the one before this, the memory simply didnt work, but they fixed that at the webshop
now, my pc doesnt want to boot at the given memory clock.
no direct instability noticable, exept for my sound card crashing

no, i start the pc. nothing wrong. it boots normally. i go play mechwarrior for an hour or so. the first thing taht happens, but isnt noticable at first, is that the sound channels start acting funny. center speaker comes out of the rear left speaker, for example. if i dont reset the card in time by going to the control panel and switch from headphone jack to speaker jacks, it crashes. you hear some ear bleeding white noise for a second and then the sound card crashes
now that my memory is on a lower clock, 3200, the sound card functions normally. no crashing, nothing
