The keyboard has some things going for it but I do not like thier implementation of a media dock at all. display is too small to be useful, masking it a dial like that seems rather inefficient and over all more a gimmick than anything else. they also went for an lcd for that display which in the current day really isn't that great for this type of thing.
I also wonder about the price they are selling for.
I can't imagine it having great build quality and good software for that price.
mostly yea though conceptually having a numpad that can be docked on the left has its benefits. Although it may not be worth the tradeoff

Overall it looks fairly high quality, can be replaced with PBT keycaps and the switch of your choice.
If you could get a Lekker switch into it... now that would be something.
"but wouldn't you rather just pick one side" not really, it's nice to be able to use it as a TKL during gaming and normal sized while working.

I don't have a Mac and I wouldn't buy one for myself. So I can't test it, the problem is either the nKRO, or the media keys or a combination of both.
In the report for the boot interface you can see that the report count values are 0, meaning a proper implementaion will ignore the data.
A simple implementation which can only see the boot flag can't know about the 0 length data structure, so for them they can detect the inputs.
