System something domain? Invalid.
looks like system thread execption not valid
Memtest dat bish.
he said he has
and it said it was good
Welp
its clearly a memory issue
i think he is running out of memory
malewarebytes/check how many programs he's using lmao
Not much we can do, i got him a dirt cheap system a few years ago for like 80 quid, GTX 660, 8350 and 8GB cheap ram
told him he will have to move on
and yes i am doing that tbf
wait what is he doing with it?
8gb isn't a lot but should still work for most things
chrome is apparently using 3-4gb no surprise there
as for the rest im not sure
hard to tell when he just messages me out of the blue i blue screend
I mean then it should just use slow as ramdisk or so but not crash
plugin great suspender is also nice for chrome to reduce memory usage
it parks sites you dont use basically
until you open them again
he is fine with me building a new system
but like saving up is an issue atm
computer is at the bottom of the list which i can respect 100%
I mean then it sounds like just using plugins like that to save ram is better
No i know but it would be nice for him to not rely on old second hand hardware now that he is working.
the ram is none branded
that alone is a big oof
doesnt really matter...
Pull out the minidump and put it in WinDbg
wrong channel again
None one : ASMR is great.
Literally no one

Happy place
I love this mouse
np
g305 is good too
but doesn't beat this for me
but my cable for it still isn't finished
it is awesome
shape is not ideal, logitech did better in all previous eggs
g300s is made for people that think having macros on a mouse is a necessity , expecially right besides main clicks
doesn't even have regualr sidebuttons
also I don't think that it is that small actually
wait
nvm
smaller than abyssus lol
I don't think I have a good reference for my mice lol
still not tiny
lol why
don't buy romer g lol
or wdym
also look at this lol
oh
rubber siding loves that
they either do that, come of or turn into a slippery mess
or all 3 on the rival 600 lol
make choices about products not brands
steelseries be like
they all have lemons
some more than others
also I think the g300s has that godawful sensor
so what mouse will you buy next?
so I can tell you what they have done bad?
this mouse?
if it had sidebuttons i'd get that
oh
b100
or m100
yea
maybe has a weight inside
some have them some don't I don't get the system
they are
I mentioned it so you could remove it
since you don't have to expose any screw to open it up
only screw is already exposed
Wait
some have
weight = "quality"
hmu if you want a recommendation
same
g303 ones are placed so badly
yea
surprisingly razer is one of those
not as much as wooting though
roccat is quite good in that regard
know a guy there pretty well
that is how I got my transparent kpu
my browser just forgot I was logged in in youtube
rip
uhhh
well
The latest in gaming gear and accessories. Find out which mouse, keyboard, monitor and more is best. Improve your game by finding the right gear!
measure your hand like this
and say me in which of the categories you fit on the right, ignore the left
green = a must for the grip
red = optional for the grip
and lastly obviously a budget
well no hand is the same as the next one
I don't care what you use to measure
for no reason
not like you can easily use it on the lap
you can game with just a keyboard
albeit very difficultly
like my ducky
I can manipulate the mouse with my ducky
:p
ye do that
what a beast
I have 20x10 lol
yes its your fault, just cut parts of it off lul
here for you big handed monsters
inches are metric though
gotta base it off of SI units
yes
since they have to be based off of SI units to be correctly convertable
...
same with basically everything else in the imperial system
all based off of SI units now
so basically metrix or modifications of metric
Technically tho that doesnt mean its metric tho right?
guys
this says an inch is 24.4 mm in metric si units
what do you think about the coolermaster mastermouse mm830
why would you get that?
^
what are you looking for in a mouse?
like do you need 4 sidebuttons?
i mean i play alot of mobas
or that OLED display lol
don't get heavy mice
only gives disadvantages
razer naga trinity is actually pretty nice
what disatvantages?
inertia
and palm?
kinda medium weight for my mice
bigger mouse will change that probably
roccat kain 100 is pretty good for you probably
if 90g is okay
or intellimouse pro lol
I mean mouse I use at work is the logitech g900
ye
and I explained how it is the most comfortable mouse I own
for my hands at least
the mouse I use at home is the ROCCAT KONE Aimo
too wide
g900 is wack
kone pure ultra is 66g lol
imagine a mouse weighing over 300g
I use a roccat kova for portable gaming
i know right
so much inertia
you need time to start moving and to slow down
even if accuarcy would be the same (which it won't) it will take longer to aim just as well
I also have a Razer Lancehead, also too light for me
also it gets tiring on the wrist because you have to start and stop that weight all the time
my g305 is at 73.5g
is 130g a lot in your opinion?
yea
smh you must have delicate hands
and 100g is basically the cutoff point in the mouse community
I like em heavier over lighter 🤷♂️
90g is easily reachable with any sensible shape
EC1, kain etc proove that
and once you got used to light mice you don't wanna go back
yea ik
loved that mouse
roccat did some weird stuff in the past
dog and cat hair
so the optical sensor would get all glitchy
and you would have to clean the hair out
that is why sensor rings exst nowadays
never had that happen with a mouse before
I mean
what light mouse that is a good palm mouse would you recommend?
what handsize?
for small hands kpu will work
lol nope
sensor ring will at least keep it out of the sensor
but the glue of the feet will basically always do that
especially on hardpads
yea seen it
kone pure ultra is basically a kone but smaller
too small for you basically
I don't see any reason behind it
or do excel
unless you have gigantic excel sheets or something
why?
tbh
I'd probably go Kain 100 for yo uas well lol
I don't use spreadsheets
am a smart boy
I use databases
basically
nosql if you want to suffer
nosql is basically a database for autist
well it can be
like no relationships?
if you know how to use it
we use MSQL
I hate it
gotta do everything gui
all our apps are MS
so
guess compatibility reasons
lol
well
we use a ton of different shit
and have a ton of stuff running in the background
newest project is basically creatign a web framework and basically dumping EVERYTHING in it
?
3360 would be the usual choice
that does 12k
you can set whatever you want
the sensor in the kain is pretty good though
I usually go with around 8500 tbh
400 here too
even the 3360 will smooth at like 1200 and above or something
wow im dumb
I used 800 before
ok 1600 seems a lot more normal
after switching to a worktop protector as a mousepad I halved it
holy shit
it looks so weird
you actually use 400 tho
on a triplescreen setup
no mouse accell?
nope
how big is your mousepad
uhhh
mouse accell should never be on for anything
like 40x50
I just set this to 400 dpi
I have to do like
4 full drags agross my whole mousepad to get from one side of my desktop to the other
yes you need to move your arm not your hand at 400dpi
yeah I cant do that
I have to reset to reach from one side to another
1400 or 1600
on all 3 screens
I have a qck+ or so, 40x40 or maybe a bit more
with that thing you can easily cut it in half
qck is so bad
gets worn in in one month
so any mice I should try
eats all the hair
I need a new one anyways
what hair, I'm not a cat
not all sensors like it though
yea
you can get the 120 if you don't sweat
although I prefer the rubber sides on the 100
biggest difference is the sides
100 has rubber
why rubber?
the 120 coating is kinda like a glossy one
I dont like rubber mice
the rubber os pretty good though
not too soft or hard
wdym?
oh
it isn't glossy
just kinda like a glossy one
there isn't something similar
so you may slip if you have sweaty hands, like on a glossy coating
but otherwise it is basically the best coating you could get
spray cheese
you could probably slap something on it
like tennis bat grip etc
marucci bat grip works well
DON'T GET LIZARD SKINS
is a grip tape brand
leaves nasty residue
my kain 100 sides aren't worn in at all though even though I used it a lot
rubber is a bit harder than it is on most other mice
except razer viper
lol
wtf
considering how overbuilt it is, yes
?
oof
like wtf
the click assembly
is insane
it can be turned off
in the unfortunately dated software
and the config can be saved on the mouse
yes it works
uhhh
newegg maybe
not too sure
you live in USA right?
idk
germany is easy with roccat
inches
or something idk
wait nvm
you used cm
oh lol
nope
I just thought you did because I mentioned them before lol
lol
rip
probably not
just use shrineos lol
it is templeos with the evil of networking
and a few other things
which are less important
it's 2020 so I'll need to find a linux version made in C+Equality, can't keep going with unfair systems in this decade
templeOS is christian
and better than any linux
for reason I won't state here in fear of getting banned
damn
it is already 1:25
I should sleep already lol
yea I will
right now
cya
np
@proud nacelle sleep with me, then i will go to bed
oh wow.... http://mrpl.me/Y01087b_rfg5.mp4
candians
due to oculus link being a feature now (desktop vr)
rift s is sht tho
no
Especially for me
have you tried it
Dosn't matter, no IPD means its useless
its very similar to the lenovo explorer and i could not see in it
As for Rift S
Quest has better everything
tracking, res etc
the quest does not have better tracking
wot
yes
am i getting mixed up
4 vs 5
if you dont want to play stuff without a pc there is no reason to get a quest, unless you have reallllly unusual eye placement
no ipd sounds worse than it is
except nobody who used it in our work office had issues with it
and the actual design of the fucking headset is god awful
m8 being able to adjust it is extremely important
you cant do this very well with the rift s vs rift and quest
says the person who has not tried it
I have tried lenovo explorer which has the exact same design
literally
it uses the same ergo design
the whole holo design for vr headsets is absolute garbage
idk, from looking at google images of the two I'd say the are similar but not the same and again, nobody at work had issues with not having ipd for the s
yes we went over this when it was announced
I still stand by, if you dont want to play stuff without a pc there is no reason to get a quest, unless you get the quest 100bucks cheaper or so
So the only pro is the 1 extra camera
idk why that is not showing the image as preview
with link you add another layer on already beta-level soft and hardware while paying more
that image is the onboard
ofc its not gonna look nice
lol
and as for beta level it runs perfectly fine + its not like im getting it right this second
we are not comparing it vs the old rift so that picture is not fitting
I'm pretty sure I had the missing IPD as bad, or as "I need to see it" when we talked about it first and now that I tried it, I don't think it matters for 99% of users
it really does though
I dont know what else to tell you, I tried it, I didn't notice it, yet on the vive pro I had to readjust it from the other guy using it
mabye if you need to wear glasses with it, idk how that would be, don't need mine for close stuff
obviously its not going to affect everyone
but its deffo not 99%
there is a reason a lot of people were pissed
it doesnt matter if they were pissed before it was released
a lot of people avoided it due to ipd too
you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes
I dont care what they did without trying it
the people I know who used it dont have an issue and I didn't see anyone mentioning it (but im also not on r/oculus or whatever), so unless you say you tried it or show me people who tried it and didn't like it I'm confident with saying 99% dont care
I'm not saying it's better than having ipd or anything like that, I'm merely observing that it doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference to not having it on the s
I have no issue changing my view on that but not from "oh it will be worse" without trying it
and now I go sleep
cause its still somewhat good actually
"costs" money
It's still like Winrar in terms of infinite continue isn't it?
last I used it, which was like a decade ago, you could wait a few seconds after the 30s was up and continue
Jeez. So much time spent on there back in the day lol. Gettin' oooooooooolllllllllddddddddd.
I can't imagine using it now. It was useful once upon a time, imo. Decent for file sharing and if you had a network for school stuff maybe. I never got into big networks
I used it until Discord, tbh
Yes you can use mIRC like winrar just a bit trickier
And irc is still used just in disguise, twitch chat for example is a gigantic IRC network
somebody here needs a ton of HBA fiber cards?
we bought a ton of servers out of an old datacenter
so we have a few dozen of HBA cards now
and don't have any use for them
@ashen spindle twitch chat isnt even irc well technically is but doesnt follow the rfc too close
You used to (can still?) connect to Twitch using IRC apps.
u can yes but like i said it doesnt follow to close
tons of the rfc not implemented or custom implemented for custom twitch features
So some commands don't overlap is what you mean?
channel admin etc for example dont exist
while mods do
its like this weird half irc half twitch custom shit
all in all it would have been better to just implement actual irc
would at least run more stable with longer connections and not lag as much
I do remember it being spotty when connecting via an IRC client.

YES! Luke calls out Linus on that BS Garbo keyboard in dishwasher guide.
!_;
I'm torn.
I don't agree that developers should go out of their way to support Linux.
But I also agree that they should at the least not hunt down Linux users that need to use compatibility layers and whatnot - And they should work with anti-cheat developers to make those Linux native to avoid false positives.
And sure enough - It was anti cheat that caused this. Yet again.
I would go a step back form that myself. I can see how supporting wine can require quite a bit of effort.
I think it's perfectly valid to not actively try to make anti-cheat compatible with an unsupported platform.
Whatever way you want to put it, not reversing bans is just wrong, as there is clearly nothing mallicious going on.
They should be able to at least detect the bans caused by wine, reverse them, and make it so people running wine get an error instead.
I don't really agree on the anti cheat aspect. It takes very little effort to whitelist something like the Vulcan API. And it is a pretty noticeable slap in the face of customers not to expect this from the Dev.
It just pissses me off :/
The devs could easily get the money back they spent on supporting Linux gamers through wine with the new game purchases and in game items from people who own the game already
I really don't know how much work it is to make it compatible, if it's just a flag, sure it would be silly not to do but there may be more to it. I really have not read into it enough.
I do know EAC has been working on wine support for some time. So my guess is that it's more then just a simple whitelist.
that's easy anti cheat not EA
Don't they make that?
actually epic games bought them
So
Technically they do
Their fault !
Wait
No
I'm so confused about epic games too
They gave massive donations to open source applications yet any time someone plays their games on Linux they get banned
Even in the the Sims
Which is a freaking single player game.... Who gives a crap if the client in modified if it's single player
Yes I started talking about ea again
i mean as per the stuff u click "i agree" it says u arent allowed to modify any files the game uses if not specified otherwise
so basically
this is just EA enforcing the rules everyone agreed on
so i dont really see the problem
Yeh
But that was said in the context of cheating and hacking in the game
Hmm
i just checked myself
cause usually yes its only hacking related
or well "cant modify to gain any advantagee"
which includes macros etc aswell
Macros can be op
but i could only find a "cant modify or we ban"
O o
and they seem to just enforce their rules
Still.... The fact this is needed in order to play their games
its not
You think they would allow that since they are getting more people playing them
its only needed if you chose to play on a platform EA doesnt support
Yes
What bothers me the most is that when games day that they are "PC compatible" it never means PC, it just means Windows
so this (if theres no BF5 specific terms one agrees to) seems like EA did everything wright and the buyers just didnt read the shit they agree to
If it was truly PC compatible it would support all os
I know that
It's still false advertising
To those who know that not only Windows exists anyway
It actually figured out what I was saying ayy xd
It didn't do this before
I tried that before
:') it gets the right song xdd
@fair gull
Two of my friends thought that Irish people could only speak in Irish and one of them therefore didn't come to visit because she can't speak it -.-
:')
Is it Irish or gaelic? I am confus
think it's actually called gnomish

Anyone know a way to make a CMD remember its window position?
Or a launch command to make it launch in a specific posiiton?
window managers
like displayfusion
or mosaico
theres a reason why a few programs dont save window position
so u dont get cucked if u have troubles with multi display
cmd for example always opens on monitor 1
just noticed win10 actually lets u overwrite the system positioning
but as i said be warned this might make the window inaccessible in certain situations
Task Manager does this also
Which is really bad, because sometimes games lock up on the primary display
And the only way to move it is to create a second desktop on monitor 1 with Win + Tab and move Task Manager there
and remembers position etc
I used it in the past to suspend GameGuard
Because it wouldn't work on x64 systems and lock up the game
Pre-launch Aion that was, iirc
@fair gull you can switch whihc monitors a window is showed on with win+shift+arrow keys
how many people know that tho
Did you know the top 2600 isn't OC? /s
what
Some dude on reddit says a 2600 @4.2 1.4v isn't OC
lol
hey guys, quick question, has anyone attempted to use UCR (https://github.com/Snoothy/UCR) to mux the input between a mouse and the Wooting keyboard into a single Xbox360 controller device? This way, you could use the Wooting keyboard and mouse combo on games that don't support simultaneous keyboard/mouse and controller input
it should work, UCR is capable of translating mouse movement to joystick with interceptor, wanted to see if anyone else had tried it yet
i think once concern i have is leaving the Wooting keyboard in XInput with the emulated XBox360 controller, since you can't really hide it from the PC, so I might set it up in DirectInput instead
but yeah I just got my keyboard delivered today and haven't even set it up yet, but I'll give it a shot and post my results here
oh yeah that's the developer of UCR, sweet
yeah I'm assuming he's tried it then, but it's strange because I can find 0 info online about using UCR and wooting for this purpose. i mean, assuming it works, that means we can use wooting and mouse with literally any game that supports xinput
anyway i've read all the documentation and know roughly how to proceed, I'll go ahead and get started shortly and follow up here if i have any issues or i get it working
but yeah, imagine being able to play basically any modern game with a full wooting/mouse combo...
@digital cliff great news, it works! honestly better than i could have ever expected. using it with nier automata right now
so there's a couple of game specific issues to work out, I don't have any blocking on so the original inputs get sent in addition to the emulated ones, but since this is mostly intended for games that can't do simultaneous input it doesn't usually matter to much. for nier, the issue is that you can't use a controller and kb/m at the exact same time; using one disables the other, so blocking isn't really essential honestly
anyway yeah using this method you can use wootility on pretty much everything, which I think would be a pretty good selling point. if any of the devs are interested in the details let me know, i feel like this should definitely be mentioned on the site somewhere
That sounds pretty cool, might have to try that later
sounds good, let me know if you have any issues, I'll keep checking back in. i set up blocking through interceptor/UCR, some autohotkey to start UCR with a profile and close it, great stuff man
maybe i should make a reddit post with instructions... I definitely want this to get visibility because i think the fact that wooting has a list of supported games is definitely a drawback for people looking to take the plunge into analog PC gaming
and also people complaining about games it doesn't work in in reviews... this would 100% counter that
wonder if it would make sense to add it to wootility somehow, though it would need wootility to stay in background hmm
eh that's a huge code burden for wootility, it would basically require a fork of UCR, plugins it uses, and maybe even the other programs needed for emulating the Xbox360 controller and intercepting kb/m
it's really not that bad to set up through UCR at all, I didn't have instructions and it only took me a couple of hours to figure out
yeah that's true, I just think it would sounds better if you can say "hey use this part of our tool to make it work" rather than "use this external software", to less tech savvy people at least
well the good news is that everything is open source so they could look to include that functionality at some point in the future
I'll just ping @fervent plaza so he can see this at some point, not sure if he already knows about it, before this conversations gets lost behind some others
i'm not sure this is ever going to be easy for non tech savy people though. blocking mouse input is always going to be risky if you don't know what you're doing
but yeah i'd definitely like to make sure the devs are aware there is a work around, it's pretty easy to set up, and it works fantastic
if you're willing to do things like block mouse input
who knows maybe the licenses on all this open source software would allow for it to be included in wootility, it's possible

Ransomware is one of the biggest cyber threats today, and we're going to show you just how easy it is to get ...
it's a software showcase as the title says, idk what else you expected
And it left out some important details - Typical sponsored video.
only looked at the start, it's a showcase not a review so one can basically treat is as an ad
It's an ad :/
It is a literal ad 😄
Linus even said so previously - He distances himself from the content when doing these. One might say... he doesn't stand by what he's saying.
I watched Linus' video on the "16 cores for the price of 8" and he sounds far better sick than when he does clear
why are industrial mainboards such a hassle
have to look for one and onlyknow that they want an unspecified amount of PCI and COM ports on it
and everythign that exists basically only has one each or is so old you can't buy a CPU for it
Interesting news
Asus announced a 4K HDR1400 144Hz display
Let's wait for reviews, but that's exactly what I wanted to wait for
And Ampere: "50% more performance than Turing at 50% of the power draw"
At what?
probably ray tracing specific lol
i cant imagine 50% overall
That I may actually believe
Yeah, the wording is 100% ambigious
either way i want one
Taipei Times
The hell is that?
new york times but for taipei
seems like nvidia is focusing more on features now than performance increases
Rumour created to staunch Navi sales?
@feral jolt well the rt cores make games more performant if reflections are done through them
like
i played the one game
bright memory
has a nice RT implementation
and runs just as good as without
"AMD Ryzen 4000 Rumored to Offer Around 17% Increased Performance"
I might believe that, somewhat
more likely than nvidia's 50% increase
But not for all workloads
and i believe that performance increases arent that much anyway cause were hitting limits of what we can fabricate with current technology
Straight from Intel:
"Core i9-10900K up to 30% Faster than i9-9900K: Intel"
25% more cores and 5% more boost clock, makes perfect sense
its simple addition, dont be obtuse
i mean if u make a workload that takes advanatage of those additions
yes u could get 30% faster
intel would never mislead anyone
but i dislike the whole marketing all of the tech comps do anyway
its always either up to values or very unspecific
exactly
its become all marketing by now
theres pmuch only independant reviewers one can turn to
Look at the wattage at the top of the chart
30% more performance at Windows Office ®️
Samsung:
"G9: The Most Immersive Gaming Experience
The G9 is the world's first Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD; 5120x1440 resolution) 240Hz rapid refresh rate, 1 ms response time, 32:9 aspect ratio gaming monitor, with a deep, immersive 1000R curve and 1000 cd/m^2 peak brightness. The monitor features Quantum dot technology combined with a HDR1000 VA panel to produce lifelike colors in vivid detail."
1000R is new
But a 240Hz VA panel?
Dat ghosting...
Step in the right direction
idk VA has improved quite a bit in recent years
Ghosting is still an issue
cant notice any ghosting on my buddies 100hz VA
Got a model number for me?
cant see ghosts without video camera bro
its a viotek 34" ultrawide
curved?
yeah
The detail...
Can't find a single proper review on that thing
i would have much rather bought it than my ips one that was over twice as much
just buy one xea and u can review it
inb4 4times as expensive
500€ ya no
ill stay with my benq and aoc 1080p idk how many inch monitors
like 22 or 24
yeah 1080p looks good at that size
If you buy anything else, you either get it for better (meaningful) HDR or a higher resolution, but nothing beats it in performance
and i cant stand how 4k looks on anything under 30 something inches, icons are ant sized
32" 4K is probably what I would call the sweet spot
27" for WQHD
fuck is gsync nice for gaming though
Freesync does the same, at 200€ less :p
yeah gsync, freesync, same thing
like if you are driving in a game it really makes the motion feel a lot more realistic
I wouldn't wanna ever go back
But I do think a Monitor deserves a decent chunk of the budget
You can pay 1000€ for a graphics card, but still have a poor experience if you monitor sucks
or just play csgo at 600 fps !
You're gonna have a better time with a 500€ GPU and a 500€ monitor than a 900€ GPU and a 100€ monitor
Absolutely
Been skimping on GPU's for ages now. I see no need
Well, a 1660 Ti gives you 80% of the experience of a 2080 Ti, so yeah, you're right
I care a little, so I'd spend 500€ and get a 5700 XT to get 95% of the experience of a 2080 Ti
i just rent gpus from microcenter so i have a 2080 ti
Ah one of those contract like scemees
"4% improvement"
"amongst average gameboy advance players"
what is the 20ms though? my frame times are under 10ms at 120hz
Simulated network latency
Damn, 100ms system latency for 60 Hz?
I think reaction time, although that seems unrealistic
That's 6 frames...
It's not impossible, with vysnc triple buffer
^
seems like they are trying to justify their lack of performance increases lately compared to previous improvement rate
The results would be mroe interesting if they adjusted system latency to be equal in all cases
Of course 20ms is better than 100ms
nvidia slides with data are notoriously unreliable
they actually give an unusual amount of information on those
I mean what you sent in was a slide
yea
just now
no wiat
nvm
what they said kinda only wokrs for one frame though
extremely weird way of saying what they meant
Is there any other reason to increase refresh rate than to decrease latency?
@queen sparrow you use one of these right
or well not that model
but a gaming thingy
noope
im mistaking someone else
hmm
Would youy buys spend an extra 15 quid to double your phones storage from 64 to 128?
nice
And i ordered with my credit card so i have protection
then again i have bought multiple ipads from this place with hardly any issues
212 quid you cant go wrong (M9T)
Well, they refused to repair it due to an issue unrelated.
Amazon said we got you fam and refundedd
I re ordered during black friday but they had no stock and i lost the discountand refused to pay more than i originally did
and now wee are here
ffffuck
ordered on the wrong card
Not my credit card
So no protection
ill just email to cancel
if they dont ill chargeback
its on record i requested cancel
And i have credit on my credit card
It took me phoning 4 different amazon people to ensure I got my phone for the right price. Ordered it a lower proce, got lost in the post, cancelled and told me to reorder. But all the listings were like £70 more at that point which I wasn't going to pay
And the guy who actually sorted it for me was the first non Indian I spoke to. Not to be rude to them because call center jobs suck ass, but I just don't like talking to them. They never quite seem to get what you want
yep.... gotta stick to the script x3
@acoustic bay Yeah, when using UCR to do Wooting / mouse to xbox, you should place the Wooting in DirectInput mode else you will end up with 2 xbox controllers on the system
AMD keynote from CES is in 20
nice
also CM spawn remake
yes all of those
@ashen spindle Ping me if anything significant happens?
think we'll hear about rdna2 bc it will be in consoles, but also a bit weird since the 5600xt has yet to launch and will prob be announced there
48/64 core threadripper
and perhaps a glance at zen3
Thanks for the confirmation @quasi warren , that's what i've been doing and so far it's working great. And thanks for the software, I'm using the C# version and it's working perfectly so far. so nice being able to use the wooting with basically any game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUeo7kUzn_8 livestream or live blog if someone wants to follow it https://www.anandtech.com/show/15333/amd-keynote-presentation-press-event-at-ces-2020-the-anandtech-live-blog?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
next gen console coming next year not this yer??
yeah she doesnt seem to be very comfortable
they wanna get the christmas market
nothing against her but she just sounds like a random shopping channel host trying to sell you a gpu
I mean
she has kind of a shit position
presenting their achievements first
and then showing how great their most recent product is
a big announcement would be made by lisa su anyways
I dont care, send someone who is comfortable talking please lol
yea its not a total disaster but it just makes me sleepy
like it sounds as if she gets fired if she says just one wrong word
performance numbers are probably not great due to power
ye nvidia is really amazing when it comes to power usage
yup
ampere should be really nice just because of that
too bad mobile gaming still sucks ass
basically 16nm to 7nm for nvidia, and they are already ahead in power/perf
if they could put their stuff in laptops the since of those 5 years ago they would be awesome
true
I just wish they would drop the bs with "desktop-like performance"
yea wow really cool to have performance like my desktop 8100 cpu in a laptop
like damn
uhhh I still dont really see that being true
3dmark doesnt really care about threads I thought for the cpu part?
It would all depend on idle power consumption.
For a lot of laptops that is still a clear weakpoint on amd
"if you buy this laptop you not only get our hardware, we even give you the drivers for it!!!1"
4 minutes, guess nothing much left
now the flexing really starts lol
oh boy
BIG threadripper
64C
128T
basically a server CPU
3990$
lol
not a fair comparison
dunno how vray favors one or the other
but if it doesn't favor either it should show the problem with intels lineup
oh well no zen 3, too bad
zen 2 refresh comes first either way
ehh, there isn't really a known refresh of it
no thats just an apu
yes but the zen+ on 3000 apu's also aren't exactly zen+ like on higher parts, but we didnt get a zen++
there are non refresh parts in newer ryzen gens
they have evaded the only question about a zen2+ that I know of
but given that they said the design and such on zen3 is done already

are you all aware of what scrot is for Linux?
it is a command line screenshot tool
well, I found an even better version of scrot 😂 and I cannot stop laughing
gimp
Damn that’s nice
Man anything looks better than my DH15
will probably be overpriced
One ugly bastard
100 euros for that air cooler
That sounds about right
can't compete
Considering Dh15 is like 90-100 euros
you pay too much for looks
it will beat the NH12A
and you get the NH-D15 for quite a lot less
like I can get one new rn for 86 euros
at the same price, maybe
just put that nice looking cover on an AIO lol
I mean on the aircooler
I mean
the chromax version was forseeable
noctua usually isn't very secretive about their active developments
I considered spray painting the fans but it effects performance apparently
Now I will
Tbh
In my current build I couldn’t care less about looks
My next build in probably 2 years for the sake of making the build I’ve always wanted I will
I'm waiting for A12x25 chromax 😐
@zenith sonnet is your new pc up and running?
haha, oh my
how much m/s of air does a small axial fan push?
metres per second?
Not sure if anyone measures flow rate that way...
