Dropping below 50 FPS in a lot of scenes, with a ton of ini optimisation
I have a vega 64 and it is too small of an upgrade imo
maybe a radeon vii if I can get one for a really good price
cheapest is 600€, which is too much imo
Dunno if/when prices will drop
unlikely imo
and no boardpartner cards
so I would basically ahve to get some aftermarket cooling solution
It's okish loud, not too terrible, but neither pleasant
I could get a morpheus for that
I want it as silent as possible though
and an open loop is a couple hundreds
at that point I could just get a 2080 with a good cooler
or maybe even a 2080 ti with a decent one
which will be pretty quiet
a morpheus + 2 good fans is already 100€ though
If I was buying a GPU it would be an evga b stock 1080 ti for 629
I dont need ray tracing and the 1080 ti is superior to the 2080 in many aspects
rip EU customers I guess
Oh well you can check the evga .de for b stocks
They didnt have any 1080 tis when I looked for my German friend tho
highest end card is a gt610
could get a 2080 for 720€ though
either gamerock premium or a phantom glh
Hmm that is unfortunate for you that they are sending all the b stock to USA
I've heard that the quality control on the rtx cards is worse than previous generations
My friend got a month out of his before it started flickering
which they apparently fixed by now
His was aftermarket cooler
then nvm
Apparently it's a fairly common thing
Screen would randomly go black for 1-5 seconds
The next one they gave him worked though he's had it for 5 months or something now
rip
I was never into radeons
Never been in a spot where there was a better deal on a radeon
I had an 8800gt for a good 5 years
you could get vega 64s new for 300€ here lol
They are all sold out now afaik
AMD is certainly worth a try
Drivers are great nowadays
I would but I got a gsync
gg
So I just need AMD to stay competitive and drive down nvidia prices
Or get a cheaper freesync monitor, which works for both
True
Just not as high as Nvidia
Already have 750 bucks into this monitor I'm not going to buy another
Maybe it is just because the die is so tiny
And they kept a similar performance target
I am really considering a 3800x though
As always wait until it is out
I'm going for 3900 or 3950,depending on what gives me better clocks
Seems pretty promising though
Or 3800X, if it OCs to the same levels
Yeah I probably wouldn't upgrade until the fall
3800x seemed to me to be the same cores as the 3900x just less of them
Guess we will see though
My 6700k is at 4.4
Binning is often very differently, and TPD remains the same or similar
4.5 brings me 15c hotter
When my roommate changes his rig again i'll get it back for testing how far i can push it
Its stable at 4.5 but no I'm not running at 75c for +100mhz
When I could run at 59c at 4.4
Any vcore changes?
Idk I ran the Asus auto OC
Stress test got to 4.6 and shut down
I might need a new cooler
I'm using an old thermaltake aio from 2012
I dont trust it tbh
in hindsight I wish I wouldn't have gotten my asrock mobo, it works fine and all but the bios is just bad, I'm not even sure which options are the right voltage for cpu etc. so I only oc'ed it on stock settings
I think I'm sticking with Asus for mobos
Aio cooler?
Oh, ok
I think I'm gonna switch to a noctua air cooler soon but the model I wanted is unavailable
Can't find out if they are ever coming back in stock
what model?
It was the 120 mm 2000 rpm one
UT12a or something
U12a
I was ready to buy it and poof all gone
They will make new versions of every cooler
Knowing noctua it could take like 6 month until they come out though
If they ship to US I might buy it
Maybe I should look harder. Some smaller retailers could still have a few in stock here
Just grab an AMD chip
Spotify looking goooooooddddd
My eyes burn
use zypper
eww
pacman is lame
oof
^^^^
one of the labs in class was to download and install packages manualy with no package manager
kms
Stupid Android 9 refuses to update apps when I have a VPN active
Even though I'm connected on Wifi to my home router...
What the fuck?
Yeah
I can just disable the VPN to update
But it's still weird

Not that I'm complaining
But the other day I bought a smart switch with energy tracking
I got a message saying give us your amazon order for a free gift, after I did they told me to buy this new £27 duo plug they just released and they'll refund the order via PayPal.
That's pretty dope but why?
Is this a known thing?
Of never mind, it's part of a testing program.
Still awesome
"Hi We got smart plug for testing.
How to take part in the program?
- Buy the new arrival product (no need to return) on Amazon.
- Then send me the payment proof and we guarantee to refund to your Paypal within 2 working day
If you are cool with the process. Please do not hesitate to contact me."
Well
I mean
I could just return it
Lol
Also Mi8 128gb £299
Ye but I'm worried it's gonna be like £500
Also Mi8 is a no no
Just saw the notch
Extremely long shot... anyone very familiar with the Android boot process? Specifically, when during boot /data/cache is writeable and if it's possible to create /data/cache/.disable_magisk because I'm bootlooping (technically crashing back to the bootloader, and then to a "you may be corrupt" screen.. stock bootloader works fine) and there's no twrp available yet for this phone XD I've tried a few ways and haven't got it working, so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing... latest attempt was a write /data/cache/.disable_magisk 1 between the triggers for pre-boot and boot using the otherwise stock bootloader, but that didn't appear to work. Hard to verify...
Well that's disappointing
9t is snapdragon 730
Hmmm
Apparently it has similar in benchmarks
Well M9T in Spain atm £270
I'm really tempted
As I know the UK version will be much more
I'm so desperate for a new phone that doesn't have a notch ;-;
Then again it would me a downgrade really
Wasn't sure where lol
Is RDNA part of GCN, or replace GCN?
Nvm, new arch
Ryzen 3000 seems to support 3600 MHz RAM, and up to 5000+ on certain boards ;o
RDNA is „ New“ but the 5700 cards will still have some parts of GCN
And apparently ryzen does work with such high speed mem kits but you get negative scaling beyond 3733MHz from what I’ve heared
GCN is also not per se bad but just scales bad for gaming, for machine learning it’ll still be the better uArch
yea
WHY
Bc only x570 is there at Launch, no B Series of so for the lower end. And it doesn’t cost them much to make one version with and one without WiFi for example
Reeeeeeeeeeeee
Can we fast forward to October so all the new hardware is out and I can just pick the best?
Well, X570 chipset is supposedly freaking expensive, 40$ alone
Nothing any more, I hope
September is Ryzen 3950X
Ah forgot it launches later
Dunno if I should wait
It might not add much value over the 3900X
And cost 300€ more
Do we need computers at all?
I just wanna redeem my 40¢ product key, how am i supposed to decide
1 navi card + electricity + a tent = warmth enough to survive northern European winters
Navi is barely a hand warmer
What's the release date of the 3950X?
Aww, no final date yet
inb4 13th of September
Wait, no, 12th 🤔
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN3HjuD3Xxs
Image enhancing tech opposed to DLSS?
Lower latency?
There is much more to unpack with Navi than most people seem to realize, let's get into not just what Navi is now - but also how cheap it may get in a price ...
Oh
The latency stuff is part of the E3 show
Time to watch the second half, lol
FidelityFX on the VII pls D:
yea I dont trust the latency stuff
I do
You get similar numbers by going from Windowed to Borderless Window and again to Exclusive Fullscreen
I'm suspicious of it being noticeable. Time to send up is usually not the largest factor anyway (< 1 frame) compared to general input device -> rendered frame or the physical screen blit, both of which could be multiple frames.
If they somehow managed to leverage out the increased lag from the Windows DWMs Vsync, that's a possible way to do it
on another note
wccftech so take it with a grain of salt, but we might see something on the 21st
Cause let's be honest, there isn't enough space between a 2070 and a 2080, to add a 2070 Ti or a 2070 Super, without it either being a meaningless upgrade, or straight up replacing the 2080
well going by this it would be a refresh so they previous versions would fade out and not get produced
I think i may have to wait for September after all D:
Don't want to use this channel as tech support but, whenever I open my start menu (Windows 10) my whole PC starts lagging, it freezes for 3-5 seconds continuously
Any ides what causes that?
Well tiles in your win 10 start menu can be THICC with animations and live data. The live data part could be networking related. Hide or unintall things that you don't use, you might suddenly solve it. - probably not though, win10 is a ****show
Well I removed all tiles, unsure about some apps
Your probably will most likely be randomly and quietly fixed by a win10 update some times. I feel like the age of resolving your own problems in windows is dead...
So, same laggeroos?
Yep
The menu also has translucency, rendering that could be the problem
look into disabling transparency
Kill cortana will fire and fury
Impossible. She's in there somewhere, wasting resources of your computer.
Scroll all the way down the list of programs and look for a strangely named or unnamed entry
Try rebooting?
Kill the process called Com Surrogate through taskmanger
(this will make windows and some other apps sad)
Close anything that draws over other apps like flux or windows nightlight
^ ye was gona say too
How much RAM do you have?
disable igpu / multiGPU through motherboard if using a discrete card
16 GB, my CPU doesn't have igpu
All I can find are issues with VM softwares
I tried restarting you driver and ended up with a bluescreen
It sounds like a rendering issue, the menu is being throttled to communicating with the graphics accelerator. That's often the symptom of such lag when using VMs
The com surrogate?
Lol, that's a system process, Windows doesn't work without it
Not true ; )
Windows will start it back up when it needs it and other unwanted apps will immediately crash when you kill it. For some reason doing this fixes a lag issue I have on ARMA 3 . Software is fucking crazy man
You should try fixing the buggy .dll's, not killing Windows Processes
Yes I -should- but as you see by googling literally any issue as you just did, the journey to finding a solution is insanely long, fruitless and tedious these days edit: and solutions not even guaranteed :/
Anyways Dommy when you don't fiddling with everything also try fixing your registry using CCleaner or Little Registry Cleaner
Tried before
Even cleared search indexes
I'll try deleting all shortcuts from start once home
Come back to firefox : )
you mean performance per watt?
Mildly shady
Wikipedia doesn't really help
Since they only list TDP
Well, at least it's sorta accurate for AMD
I wouldn't be surprised the lower TDP chips provide better performance-per-watt
TDP
Intel's TDP isn't even close to real world power consumption
Wait what is a t p d or t d p
TDP
And even then that's not the Waters of the CPU that's the amount of heat supposed to output
Thermal Design Power
Wattage*
Right
Well, on AMD parts, it's usually within margin of error for a full load
Intel uses only base load to calculate TDP
Every CPU gets better perf/watt by undervolting
So, the best might be a heavily undervolted Zen 2?
I mean now youre comparing chips that fundamentally work differently so idk what the point is of that
the best would be a custom chip only having the pipelines needed for the task that is used for comparison on the most efficent node
¯_(ツ)_/¯
@proud nacelle arn chips would be the best
I mean
what are the requiremenmts for it to work
like if there is something that requires me to give it admin rights for example, I dont care if there are 2 or 2 million ways to do so,
if this again is something that abuses what another thing already does but differently, I don't really see the issue in that sense
just like I dont care if intel or amd have more spectre/meltdown issues
it's either 0 or not 0 in my eyes
I had my fire stick so much
It’s dogshit slow
Anyone got any suggestions for kodi sticks
Reasonable price
Because I’m ducking sick of this
Takes half an hour just to navigate to one show
Wat
Can't check rn
But read something like that yesterday
And well, I can see why...
Their drivers are plain awesome nowadays
5700 XT is awesome
3950X even more
anyone here well versed in RAM knowledge?
i think my ram is my current bottleneck for framerate in unreal 4 games
i only play squad
just started reading and realized i have 2 single rank 2666 dimms which is probably a massive bottleneck
thinking of getting 2 dual rank 3200's
I'm kind of wary of the 5700xt until I see more third party tests
im running a 6700k currently
coz nvidia seems positioned to just drop the prices on their non super cards anyway
they def murdering it in the cpu market tho
AMD has plenty of margin to play with
Also, any two same memory sticks can run dual rank
You either have a bad bios setting or one of them is in the wrong slot, consult your motherboard's manual
@feral jolt
some sticks run dual rank inside the stick
i have 2 ranks of ram from 2 sticks
but i could have 4 with 2 sticks that are dual rank
which i hear is very beneficial
Only if they are two sided
And no, your CPU can't run quad rank afaik
I have my 5820k running quad, but with 4 sticks
What's much more limiting is latency
Bandwidth is plenty for games with dual rank
2 ranks per channel for the 6700k
dual channel obviously so i can fit another 2 ranks in there
Huh, guess I messed up channels and ranks
Anyway, I don't see how much ranks improves latency
And bandwidth should be fine
yeah its a weird thing that nobody knows about i just found out about it today
doubling the bandwith by doubling the ranks is supposed to make a huge difference
Depends on the task, really
Most are latency sensitive
Few are bandwidth sensitive
i play squad its pretty demanding and likely more bandwidth sensitive
unreal 4 game with a lot going on at once
idk what i could use to watch my memory bandwidth as i play to confirm this suspicion though
My feeling is that you sacrifice latency to increase bandwidth, by losing the ability to read and write by coupling ranks or something?
latency is more related to frequency i think
because as frequency gets faster the latency numbers go higher
because 3200mhz c16 ram and 1600mhz c8 ram would actually have the same latency
3200 tick cycles are twice as fast
Right
But often going higher frequency costs you latency past a certain point
Because you need to loosen timing too much to get it stable
You can probably find 3200 C14 or something nowadays
Which seems to be the optimum for gaming
c14 dies are all single rank unfortunately
this was the article that made me think it might be more important to have the ranks
looks like a way better minimum fps from having 4 ranks
frame dips are killer
like i literally get killed from having frame dips in squad on a regular basis
News to me, I'll read uo when I'm home
But before buying new RAM, I'd also consider moving to Ryzen 3000 in your place
Which has at least an equal benefit
well. its not out yet. and unfortunately squad is still super dependent on single core performance. and if i bought ram it would be able to be transferred to the new mobo/cpu
I mean look up if other people have similar problems
I know pubg had problems with slow hard drives
the single core performance of the 3800x does look about 20% better than my 6700k from what i've seen so thats gonna be nice
i have an m.2 3000r/w drive
if you plan on going AMD then get fast memory for sure
im preferably waiting another generation to upgrade tbh
600 bucks for a 20% faster core speed is not that practical
AMD seems t obe doing a tick tock rn
the 3800x is supposed to be around 400 then another 200 for a mobo
my friend currently plays squad on a 2700x and gets about 20% peak cpu usage because it isnt optimized for 8 cores
rip
not bottlenecked by gpu?
you can't compare single core performance directly anyways
since some tasks prefer amd or intel
what do you have currently?
980 ti
im just thinking the ram is responsible for my low minimum fps
xmp is on
its not great ram
i bought it during the great ram sham of 2018 so i bought the cheapest available
160 dollars for 2 8gb sticks of 2666
rip
patriot el cheapo
got my kit when I ugraded to my 6600k
hyperx fury
but the cheapest I could get
with 16gb
was 90€ lol
Now is probably the worst possible moment up upgrade anything
i bought this 6700k off my friend and he refused to sell me his ram because the prices were awful
ye
dont think ryzen 3000 will support it
not sure myself
maybe with a new board lineup
board partners seem to be ptimistic about x570, so maybe
Desktop will use DDR4 this gen
3600 support seems baseline, OCs can reach 5000+
Although that's extreme OC territory
But it's the best single threaded performance on the market by a decent margin
If AMDs slides are honest
Well, it was cinebench I think?
Which usually even favours Intel
i heard that they claimed a 15% increase in single core speed when the reality was 11%
not sure on how correct that is
If you can find good DDR4 3600 or 4000 today, it's probably a good buy, but compatibility lists for Ryzen aren't out yet, so you'd imit your choice on boards
They beat a 9920K by 14% single core and 6% multicore
With the 3900X, which is almost a third the price
3950X just destroys Intels lineup
3800X is probably going to be the best mainstream CPU for a long time
yeah i dont need the extra cores so 3800x is gonna be my most likely upgrade
Even a 3600X will be decent, if you're out to save a few bucks
3700X has two cores more, but lower frequency
So unless you OC, it might be a worse choice
dont want the 3600 since its not an upgrade at the single core level
It is
over a 6700k? not that ive seen
Single core it's on par with the higher tiers at the same frequency
Just has less cores
you can't directly compare clocks
What clock is your 6700K running at?
for single core performance
multicore the ryzen 3000s would shred my 6700k
i guess i was looking at stats for the 3600 not the 3600x
it all depends on tasks anyways
I meant single
even then
some tasks favor intel/AMD
not as bad as with gpus
still matters though
yeah and unfortunately everyone is building MORE CORES instead of faster cores
they get faster though
at least for AMD
intel currently mostly pushes it with higher clocks
Wonder how long intel can keep this up
Zen 3 and 4 might bring more heavy IPC uplifts
Navi surprised me
It's better than I expected
Seems to handily beat the 2070, and even the 2080 in select titles
And it sits uncomfortably close to my VII
And I'm sort of doubting Nvidia's Super...
There's no info on it, other than speculation and rumours
They deliberately waited for AMD to announce their lineup, to think up an response
They probably only hinted Super to make it look like it was ready long before
especially the price
I'd buy it for the price, if I hadn't upgraded yet
if I wanted an upgrade and didn't have something not lacking behind much, definetley yes
let's hope sapphire makes a good non limited version
Eh, that's almost a given
Wonder how many of the new features the old cards will get
FidelityFX sounds interesting
But with it being post processing, it may easily degrade images
There's few post processing, that doesn't
And then the latency thing
Still curious about what they did
Still suspect is decreases or eliminates DWMs latency hit
So I came to the realisation that cooling something takes much less power than I thought
To keep a system that draws 350W under high gaming load to Ambient, you may not even need 100W
I dunno how those things scale at this point
🤔
I could live with the power draw, but I'm wondering where you'd even find the parts
Well, technically, I guess you'd just have to push the water through a cooling loop after the radiator
Probably more difficult with air cooling
1903 supposedly fixes the issues Windows scheduler had with Ryzen
Meaning Gen 1 and 2 can see significant gains too
I really need a new phone 😦
Pixel 3A XL
To expensive
it is out in the EU
Not the pro
why is the Mi A2 Lite better in everyway than the Mi A2 other than CPU? -.-
3010mAh is crappy but the Lite has 4000mAh battery
but I prefer to have no notch and a better CPU :/
yup
I wonder will the Mi A2 get Android Q?
dont android One phones come with 3 years of updates? or does that depend on the brand pushing them out?
Brand
cause I know in the EU the Nokia 7 Plus barely got the Pie upgrade despite being Android One
Android One, fails to do the job it was meant to do ://
The battery life is decent if you dont plan to use it day in and out as a wifi router
How big is it again
it lasted me all day Monday with about 14% to spare and most of the day it was taking photos and videos and also trying to reconnect to phone signal cause where I was there was barely any signal strength
It is 3400mAh
I just want a bezeless phone
How much is the Mix 3 for you?
Also does the mix 2s not have a selfie cam?
it does
you could not sell a phone without a freaking front camera man
youd be murdered in your sleep
Mi mix 3 isn't much
get that over the 2S if you can
its a much better phone
less bezels
slidy fun stuff
OLED screen
Oh that's the slide up one
better screen + MIUI 10 black theme = battery saving
btw, the Mi 2S does have a front camera
They compete within their own brand
Mi 8 would be decent but the damn notch
it is odd
I simply cannot stand it
mm ;-;
you cna hide it in software
and it rounds the corners too for you
to match the bottom corners
Cos that's logical
yeh
you dont wanna have that uneven corner rounding
top with no rounding and the bottom with it
Honestly the mi mix 2a feels like the obvious choice or the mi 9t
But the 9t has a weaker cpu
Know any other companies etc 😄
Is the galaxy s10 a bad buy
Yes
Whys that
They are on sale right now and I was thinking it's time to upgrade my s5
Because it's overpriced
@wheat plume i just need xiaomi to confirm to me that the mi mix 4 will or will not be a slider phone like the mi mix 3 and if they sell via tmobile netherlands
otherwise i'll be getting the new one plus 😄
The aids thing is warrenty when buying from china
I hate the ONE UI on Samsing phones
nah, they sell in normal store heres
I always hated samsung software
@pale sigil
No
i just need it to be in tmobile stores
Quinn, The Mix 4 will likely have an under display front camera
ah yes, but most are sold here via normal stores
Because the already have a prototype
i want the slidey phone 😢
SAMME ;-;
Yes but you won't get a 2 year warrenty
ow and in screen finger print reader
How is battery life on those xiaomi
Pretty decent tbh
we do here @pale sigil
its very agressive to background processes so if you want to keep an app always running you need to tell it to not restrict battery life
It's generally my biggest concern is the battery. If I dont get a whole day off a charge a phone is worthless to me
But how long will that last with current battery tech?
My concern is battery life also
I spent Monday taking photos and on reddit and taking videos and also it spent a few hours constantly looking for phone signal to connect to
and I had 14% when I got home at 9
@pale sigil I can buy a Mi mix 3 in normal electronic stores here
left the house at 7am with 90%
Ye I never said you couldn't
That's decent though
I've ate through several batteries on the s5 and they dont make new ones so if I buy a "new" one it's been sitting for 5 years and is noticeably weaker
^^^
better battery tech will degrade less
new samsung phones will have less problems
after the note 7 they increased their battery tech
Why can't they just use universal replacement batteries. Damn capitalists
How much do they degrade nowadays?
Numbers I have from 9 years ago were like 10% per year
Because it needs sealing
Simple penetration is a great theme
For water resistance
Charging was the bigger issue
Once the seal is broken it's fucked
yep
10% a year seems like a huge lowball
you can make them last much longer with good charge cycles
nah, was pretty normal 9 years ago
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 the battery sucks ass
nowadays they should underrate batteries by like 20%
and don't charge them above the rated capacity
@wheat plume on my redmi note 4x i upgrades to miui 10.2 (chinese rom) and now the "easy to install" google play stuff doesn't work anymore :'(
due to this i have been hesitant to update my daily driver, the mi 5 pro as i don't want it to fuck up 😦 so can't use the new battery shit stuff
I had a 5800 mah battery for my s5
Was nice for about 2 years until it was worse than a stock battery
My next phone I'm gonna power off the plug at 80%
Eh that one lasted the longest for me. I'm on my 4th battery
No, long lasting vibrators
i just want the new phone to be retro slidey slidey
Any other none bezel and notch phones people can suggest
the new one plus
But it's overpriced
for half price
I can't risk the 1 year warrenty
I'll buy from an european importer
And it lacks band 20
and it won't be a problem
That's not true though?
they have a minimum warranty
No
The 2 years is manufacture watrenty
Not seller
Though apparently eglobal offers 24 months warrenty
Damn I didn't know
here we have 2 years seller warranty
Yes you've said a million times
Because we are not sheeps who buy Samsung
I like samsung
they are expensive though
technically
I had multiple chinese phones in the past
as i had a samsung note 2 duos
and they only had slight problems
which was not available outside of china :p
which likely have resolved by now
I really like the mi mix 2s tbh
not everything is solved :p
screen?
Not oled
the mi mix 2 s had a bottom camera?
if you ever want to use the camera you will be annoyed
I Mexer use it
Never
Tbh I don't like worrying about screen burn
So it does make it temping
Because it's not coming out I'm the EU
is there no mi 9t pro?
Nope
isn't the mi 9t the k20?
Xiaomi Mi 9T announced: It's the Redmi K20 for European users
At less spec
the 9t is the k20
not the k20 pro
there apparently will be a mi 9t pro
and also a pocophone f2 pro
yea
Can't stand it
same
the mi mix 4 is like 500+
as long as i can get it via tmobile i don't care
i get 150 euros for one time payment and then up to 75 euros per month 😄
What ever happened to the mi mix edgeless brand
perhaps look at second hand?
No
Hell no
I'm honestly leaning towards the mi mix 2s
I'd consider the mix 3
But battery
Right now I have £150 from old phone sale + some other stuff and £150 of my own money
But the mix 3 is £370 -_-
Mix 2S is still plenty powerful
Exactly why I'm trying to keep my budget insanely low
Which is where the mi mix 2s comes in
At £270 so £120 out of my own pocket
So the Google pixel has 2 main cameras, this is huge news for the GCam software for getting google image processing on all multi-lens android smartphones.
'bought time, google
I could get a mi 9t
the cpu is far from bad though
It's a 730
same as the k20
K20 Pro is what I wanted
ah the pro you wanted
I think I'm gonna get a mix 2s
did you see my earlier message @wheat plume :p
730 best processor right now. Has new AI chip and wifi6 ready. 855 is for gamers.
Only problem is everyone is skimping on the UFS memory version for 730s, apart from on the samsung A80
How is it better tho
I just said
So you're telling me if I got the 730 I'd get better performance than the 845
Even if it's not Samsung
it is just as fast in normal usage
Depends on task but why would you care? It's fast enough for all the dumb mobile games
my 660 was fast enough to play PUBG
Want the best for my money
sadly Fortnite is limited to 30fps for some reason on Android so with the 845 I have it is a stipid experience
I could have got it at amazon Spain for £290 but it's out of stock
tbh you can get better performance out of a 730
Fortnite
i wanted a heavy game to test on my phone
and when I found out it was locked to 30 I got pissed
Sureeeeee
All respect lost
Disgusting
delet. solid state memory undergoes constant shifting-around of data so clogging it up with junk shortens yo card lifespan ; )
^ these are the kind of knows that get you the "best for your money", not just buying the biggest numbers on paper
Damn I feel stupid
I could have got the 9t for £285
acne?
^ one of those exploding phones. Oh wait dats samsung
you mean the iphone 6 plus?
I'll wait a bit
Still wondering what display to buy
Or which are releasing soon D:
I wann try it ;-;
The only kind of slider I want in a phone is of the keyboard variety
https://www.fxtec.com/ too bad this thing is out of my phone budget
it comes with a case
o?
that keyboard looks uncomfortable to use
yea
drops on top
screen slides out because of inertia
ehh
drops on bottom I mean
yeh
and then you have a 3mm piece of glass dropping on the floor
3mm glasS?
btw, have g305 now
very nice mouse
well, yea
glass + screen etc
is somewhere between 2-3mm just from looking at it
hm
what do you mean?
They wanted gmail to be a telecommunication company
Which would allow them to look at all user information at will
ahh
Was in front of the european court
then it's not covered under letter confidentiallity stuff?
Letter confidentiallity doesn't exist in germany anymore
As well as the bank secret
it does exist
but they can bypass it if they suspect you in any case
hmmm
i use this firefox addon called adnauseum that "clicks" all adds while simultaneously hiding them and stopping them from tracking me
so the websites i visit get money for my "clicks"
Just use temp containers
No cookies or tracking outside of the container
Each new domain or tab creates a new container
WELPPPPPPPPP
oooo :DD
Note: the deal atm is if you order now
it will be reduced
to about 285 pounds
before it ships out or something
oooohhh ! alright then
offer in question
the MI 9t pro is being released
apparently
but i dont wanna dish out more
i really hope the 730 is as decent
as people say
is the 730sd 5g compat?
oh noes
Yes 3.....this is DEFINETLY 4G.... -.-
sd card slot?
nope
ash shit
it doesn't have wireless charging
the only issue i have with budget phones these days
is the fact they are so far behind in screen res
if it has NFC it should have wireless charging right?
i know
why should if have both if it has one?
not sure
So behind in screen res? Oh, 1080p AMOLED..
Technically higher resolution than the AMOLED tho
no....
is it really 2015 though?
Yes, pretty much all phone AMOLEDs have the shitty RGBG subpixel layout, so only green is the advertised resolution, red and blue is halved
hmmm
It's why things like small text can look a bit jaggy
I mean at that time samsung had 1440p in their flagship
@crimson wigeon I can't notice a difference between 1080p or 1440p on my galaxy s8
they could have put the top thingy to the right side....to make it symetrical :/
Mmm, eye magic
And the reason for that shitty subpixel layout is because human eyes are more receptive to greens than other colours hence why you don't really notice those other colours having less resolution
Yes because when phone VR was still the in meme I put my brand spanking new AMOLED OnePlus 3T in my Loop VR and it was garbo compared to my old LCD LG G2
tbh VR is hard to do
And I do notice text being a bit ugly with colour fringing and such
even with a real HMD you get screen door like hell
weeb
I meant the macOS theme
;-;
indeed
Now I just need to wait 7 days
Fingerprint is behind the screen yes
Sounds like my Toshiba 2TB is ill, never had a hard drive fail before but its getting louder. Everything personal is on backblaze.
Is using TeraCopy file copying software to "copy paste" over 1.3TB of all kinds of personal and mostly games media to my unused Seagate in one action too ambitious? xD I'd love to see the time elapsed.
Oh damn
Sounds like a huge task for a failing drive to do
Really hard to define failing. It could be fine for a year more but it sounds like shit.
Ah...ok
Has used less than 5% of its reserved back up sectors for detected errors. Support defines this is grounds for replacement but they'll just send me another refurbed drive. Either way I'll have to shift everything. Should be a lot faster than downloading 1TB of stuff again...
Definitely
I say should because windows copy paste grinds to a halt with many small files but there's software to accelerate such tasks.
I noticed that before
You copy a large file in windows and it stops randomly
You mean directory, or single file?
Single file
I'm scared about using quick charged lol
Haven't moved one large file in a long time tbh...
XD
I wonder if there exists a tool to test whether a hard drive carries the dependencies for anything important of your computer...
So that I can test disconnecting it before other actions
For Windows 10 as it would obviously be platform specific
besides hot sawpping it while running your programs you deem important I cant think of anything specific right now
Ahhh ..
Now listen up
^ kek
Here's a story
I was kidding XD
Tehe
Oo
Why the O.o
This is why
No surprise
It's only a matter of time Linux takes over
One of our uni labs is exclusively Linux
Kbuntu
i'd use linux if it was more common for games to run on it
i clean install windows every couple months, i really prefer simplicity
Can run almost all games now.
im not finding any evidence that squad runs on linux
It's on steam right?
yeah
Then it can run ^
but you cant run multiplayer as of right now
bc EAC doesnt really work with it yet
yeah theres no single player to the game besides the test range so thats not gonna work for me
i dont need a VAC ban
Gonna be aids for cases and glass screen
I'm having a good time with the OP3
So unless one of the other phones had a feature I want that the OP7 Pro is missing, or was of a general better quality, I'd probably go with that
🔥 🦊
o?
eh it was a shitty wire
hm
it is just the beta
I know

first google result btw
