Hmm it's best to ask in #archived_helpdesk_for_keyboards and ask for Tino or Mansen
They are better at troubleshooting than me
thank you Quinn
i wanted this until i saw that fucking graphic on the side
cringe AF
dear god that is so bad
well personally I look at the monitor more than I look at the side of my mouse
Tbf, I don't even notice the lights on my mouse when I'm using my PC, so I wouldn't motive a graphic. That said, it's pretty ugly
finalmouse ripoff?
Got access to a 20tb plex server, noice
@ornate forge it's supposed to be a affordable finalmouse, since people cant find finalmouse for cheap
Do the holes in the mouse serve a purpose? Because otherwise the inside of those is gonna be hand sweat mixed with dust and dead skin town.
I'd guess ventilation so your hands don't sweat as much
why do people think the model O is a finalmouse ripoff or a cheaper finalmouse
they just take the same route
but I guess the finalmice are thermaltake ventus ripoffs
Did someone say... Thermalfake?
I'll just stick to my overpriced brand mice
Although, if the holes actually improve ventilation, they would be nice to have
Great news
Found out the trackpoint on my ThinkPad is dead
And I get a replacement
Bad news is I don't know when they'll come to pick up my dead one and give me the replacement
lol
last time we had to deal with lenovo support for a broken fan
they wanted to send over a technician for replacing
then decided against that
we got 18 delivery notices, that the delivery of a replacement part has started
after 10 the first arrived
in total we got 3
only took 3 months for the first one
π€

You can sorta do both - a live USB stick with persistence. Saves space since the live filesystem is compressed
Short of that, get your distro's install image, plug the USB stick in, and boot the install image. It should see the stick and let you install to it. If not, you can boot the install image in VMware or Virtual Box. Use either USB passthrough or whatever system the VM has for raw disk passthrough (I know VBox at least supports it)
quick question for those of you with android p
did your sound quality change with the update?
to me it sounds worse
nope mines gotten better actually
haven't noticed a difference on my S8
bass boost?
yeah
what phone do you use @plush summit
s9
didnt know android included frequency tuning and bass boosting
sure
under sound
can't you set your equalizer different
but it doesnt tune out the higher frequencies like it used to
how about turn it off and see if it sounds shit
or if it just sounds normal as if u dont have an EQ on
everything sounds too high for me
with it off
i just want my d&b
to sound like d&b
ive tried turning off all processing
and it sounds crystal clear
but my bass is just gone
origonaly....i never had those settings changed, i just used pi music player
and use the eq in there along with the bass boost
but it sound so muddy now
Pi Music Player is a stunning Music Player for Android, beautifully crafted with Material Design in mind and packed with some extraordinary powerful features. It has Ringtone Cutter, Equalizer, Sleep Timer, Folder View, Advanced sharing etc.
i only use aimp
on phone and pc
both with the same eq settings
that way it sounds the same on any device i use
ill try it
ill see of i can get my old setup back
I use winamp for my pc
"update"
they just wanted to combat the leaked version
still wouldnt use winamp anymore
fell out of love with it
i used i on my phone till it got pie cause winamp wasnt working properly anymore then
Still my favorite
installed and confirmed its still trash
I use a other plugin to tune the sound
I tried using music bee to keep the plugin
But it keepa crashing
let me guess winamp still needs a plugin to play flac files?
...idk
thanks for the media player
it displayes the art correctly as well
and it sound pretty dam close to the setup before the update
@fair gull i use themo stereo tool
for winamp
so basically instead of using a player that doesnt output trash music to begin with u fix it with plugins
because iirc stereo tool was for fixing audio quality wasnt it
i mean i settled for winamp till it didnt work anymore and winamp had more features built in so no worrying about outdated plugins etc
aimp mobile or desktop
mobile
anyway u can group by album
it also shorts by artist
and album
aimp just sorts by folder
and i have no album tags
it can group and sort by anything
only artists
pi had options to sort by folder, artist, album...exept in different windows
this is kinda annoying to have to sort by whatever to find what i want each tme
welp mobile version is inferior to aimp desktop sadly
doesnt even have music library feature
its all playlists
wasnt that a player with premium version
yeah
so i might not
since everything else is offer ed for free
equilizor plus was good
but they fucked it over with an update

lmao
@latent mural Please give updates
EK Blocks for both GPU and CPU and a DDC with an Aquacomputer top. Soft tubing( π¦ ), gonna get hard when I get some more moneys. And blue pastel fluid π
@zenith sonnet You might need to remind me ;D
Anybody got wireless earbud recommendations? Not true wireless. They gotta be connected to each other, non noise cancelling, and easy to pause and resume (in-line controls, tap controls, etc..).
If the Motorola S705 SoundPilot was still in production I'd highly recommend that - was a Bluetooth HSP (handset)/A2DP (stereo audio) end-point with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Basically let you turn any pair of headphones into Bluetooth. I have no idea why this didn't catch on and Motorola eventually discontinued it. Haven't been able to find similar elsewhere... only high-priced headphones with Bluetooth built-in
@latent mural Thinking about doing something similar with my VII
Although maybe I'll wait for Summer
Would be stupid to do it now if I wanna upgrade to Zen 2 anyway
@zenith sonnet what's your current setup?
I've got Ryz 2600 so I will just need to sell the CPU and upgrade π
Gotta love that backward compatability
shouldn't wootility start with windows?
You could autostart it by placing a shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
If the folder isnt there, create one
@latent mural 5820K
Looks like wooting has some competition π
@zenith sonnet Well, clocked that CPU is a beast. But I understand, investing hundred of dollars on a dead platform isnt that attractive
Well, it never went higher than 4.1 stable
So, not that crazy
3700X/3800X, whichever clocks higher I'll get
How much of an IPC uplift is that gonna be?
Hard to tell
Rumors says everything from 10-30% π
Everything between 4.6 and 5.15Ghz
@soft spoke Doesnt that just have like 8 analog buttons, rest Mx Red?
I have no clue, not even gonna bother looking at it cause I know wooting is better
@latent mural So, between 20% and 60% effective π
Nice enough, when you struggle to maintain 144 FPS most of the time
Ryzen hype has never missed its mark this far tho
wtf
the cm mk850 only has 8 analogue switches
and costs almost as much as 2 twootings
Aimpad would need to mess up pretty hard to make their switches feel exactly like MX reds
Ye
It's pretty meh price wise
@latent mural they've always been cherry, he tried to sell his own stuff via kickstarter years ago and failed
His price ranges are insane
but if he removes the actuating parts tehy should feel a lot different?
and he needs to swap out the stems
Because everyone has a boner for cherry mx
and someone in the chain has a gigantic markup
Ya that's my argument
and the twooting has a better keyfeel
I personally don't even use the analogue aspects
Same
@reef patrol How's the VII a flop?
AMD basically touted it as the second coming. And it was nowhere near.
It performs just as AMD said it would
And even with the current drivers, it overclocks and undervolts really well
It really didn't - And it gets hot as heeeeeeeeel
Mine runs just fine
68Β°C on the stock cooler at 1800/1200 MHz
Try 106C with the tiniest overclock ever.
And that's in something as simple as COD
88Β°C Junction temps
Mnope
Welcome to AMD. Where two seemingly identical cards definitely are not.
Well, of the two, one runs 1800/1200 at 930mV, while the other needs 948mV
And performance is on par with the 2080 already
Maybe they should have waited to release the card to reviewers until 19.2.2 drivers were ready
Card's definitely not as bad as the launch reviews make it seem
Luckily
Performance was 2080 ish before release as well. And the 2080 is still cheaper...and a heck of a lot cooler (and less power hungry)
But to each their own. I'll use our sample as all the anecdotal evidence I need. Pre- and post release. π
Undervolted the power consumption is about on par with the 2080 at the same level of performance
And it's a lot quieter than running 150mV more than it needs through that chip
Although it's still not quiet
Maybe 40dB instead of 50, but that's a whole lot more acceptable
Good enough until I get it under water, certainly

I'm kind of gobsmacked at how willing people are to buy old GPUs. So far I've sold two cards for like 55β¬ each. A GTX680 and a R9 270X. Both old 2GB Models.
#springCleaning
i did spring cleaning aswell when i threw my old pc into the trash
AMD know all about how willing people are to buy old GPUs
now i regret it cause i want the i7-4790k back
isnt that AMDs game plan since a few years? to resell pmuch the same gpu
I have a 4790 (non K sady) somewhere. Gotta get around to making an arcade for it or something.
Xeanoa, if you have two cards in crossfire, one will be hotter and thus need more power to get to the same performance probably
@fallow bison Two rigs, mine and wife's
@gentle turret Where do you even buy an MI50?
Couldn't find an actual price on it online
god knows where you buy any of AMDs datacenter stuff
you probably have to go direct
I see
you wont really be able to anyway
Well, that's why it sells
Still curious about the price tag, though
well supposedly the VII is actually sold at a loss to AMD
so it's probably a high price
the VII is literally them cleaning leftover silicon
Pro cards are always stupid expensive
If anything, I'd be interested in abusing a full MI60, not an MI50
But if it's over 1000β¬, which is certainly is, it's not even worth it
The VII isn't sold at a loss
unless you're doing something that needs the peace of mind of certified drivers and ECC memory you may as well get a titan
since the titans get quadro optimisations now
Oh fuck, need to run
Gunna be 5 mins late ^^
According to its source, AMD will be making a net loss on each GPU sold to the consumer
because they're rebadged MI50s
but AMD will have bought it at those prices
because it's just leftover MI50s which are old

Imagine AMD taking over the CPU market, and giving GPUs up to intel π¨
Still have a hard time believing that 5000 units rumour
That all started when OCUK claimed to have fewer than 100 units, but almost all stock allocated to the UK
I got mine on the 14th, after initial stock sold out in less than an hour
mindfactory alone sold over 300
They also claimed there would be no restocking until March
Yeah, there's definitely more than 5000 out there
they almost would've sold 10% of the stock alone
and Alternate de sais "delivery date unknown"
which basically says that there are more
uhh
And then there's Caseking and all those others
caseking often shares storage with OCuk
ocuk might have only stored a little in the uk
Wonder how many sold in the US then
less than in the EU
You think?
I hope they continue selling them for a while
Long enough to iron out the drivers, lol
just look at the most recent GNreview
they always retest everything
doesn't seem to have improved much
Huh
Why does the VII fall behind thr 2080 on higher resolutions in Apex?
Shouldn't it gain ground ?
it has almost higher averages though
Higher resolutions put more demand on the GPU and removes the CPU from the FPS equation. This is why most reviews now are done at either 1440 or 2160P
hello just had a small problem to know if you too please, i put my computer to standby before removing dust from the keyboard (with an electrical blower) and when i resumed the pc the wooting was black, i had to unplug and replug it and it's working normally.. did 2 or 3 standy afterwards with no issue
yes did it again i had to switch off the computer so a problem after resume on my systeme otherwise works fine

@zenith sonnet yea I use TBB's CQM so it's constantly monitoring ping and packet loss and graphing it
What's your average packet loss?
Indeed
there isn't an acceptable percentage as it's a fault indicator
Mine averages about 0.3% :/
or just a small momentary blip
I'm starting to think it's something in the cable network outside my house, though
I saw you say you were having the modem replaced for power levels?
that shouldn't really affect the power levels, if you're on DOCSIS you'd need to either be moved onto another tap at the cab or have attenuators attached to your coax
Got a new one (6490 instead of an 6360), when I upgraded to 400/50 mbit
Power level stayed the same
what're the levels?
Called the ISP on Thursday, technician on the phone (took me 15 min to bypass the damn Vodaphone AI, fuck that thing) recognized the problems and tried to schedule a technician visit
15 mins later I get an SMS that it was canceled, my problems were apparently part of an larger outage... BS
Levels were 54 dBuV down and 94 dBuV up
54 or 5.4?
oh that's an odd thing to show them in
Don't ask me why
those both seem to be within normal specs for DOCSIS
94 is a tad bit low, but nothing extreme
Now i have 65 down and 106 dBuV up
Tried a different cable to connect the Modem, same quality, just +3dBuV on the levels because its shorter
Tried connecting the modem directly, bypassing the splitter and amplifier in the basement
Upload is still bad
Rates are variable, I sometimes get 50, sometimes not even 5 mbit, packet loss remains unchanged at 0.3%
So, I assume we've got some bad hardware somewhere in the network
is your modem managing to lock 4 upstream channels at 64 QAM?
It's always changing, best I've seen is 3 with 64 and one with 32
Sometimes it's not even one with 64
yea that's a fault somewhere then
the modulation shouldn't change
I had an issue with it changing after having mine installed where it'd drop to 16QAM and be fine, but if it went higher my connection would become unusable since the higher modulations are more dependent on the channels being clean
mine was fixed by them swapping out my ONU, but you probably don't have one of those by sounds of things
Not sure what that is, tbh
optical network unit, I'm on one of those newfangled RFoG connections
yea so the fault's probably at the cabinet
could even be caused by another customer
That's what I think
Guess I gotta call again
Urgh, this has been going on for quite a few weeks now, gradually getting worse
just be persistent and you'll probably get somewhere
FREE Broadband Quality Monitor to keep track of latency & packet loss
you can set up a CQM here, it'll be tested from the UK so pings will be higher
but it should graph out the loss for you
for example here's mine
the spiky maximum latency is normal for a DOCSIS connection so nothing to worry about
Tried the other, new, shorter cable again
Getting those numbers
Power level for the upstream is a little high
But not problematic
408 down, 14 up :/
oh good
[glsl shaders]:error program 'final' error line NaN " "
fucking fantastic
thanks for the info
@zenith sonnet according to the internet CATV operates at 75ohm meaning 111 dBuV is 51dBmV
which yeah is the very upper end of the allowable spec upstream
Yeah
Although as I understand, the limit is mostly because of interference with other devices?
Internet performs about the same on 94 or 111 dBuV
Or anywhere inbetween
well 4 channels at 64QAM are 23 to 51 dBmV for spec
I haven't the faintest idea why your modem uses dBuV
considering even the official specification for EuroDOCSIS 3 uses dBmV as the unit
it's to do with the providers firmware
They also disabled bridge mode and stuff
Don't ask me...
classic vodaphone
you probably just need moving onto a better tap point at the cab to fix your upstream
that'll take an engineer visit
Try to get them to send one π
Lol
That thing just creates huge imbalances between the channels
Lol, ok
Called the hotline again, apparently I misunderstood their response
They're still working on the issue, apparently it's a network issue, god knows when it'll be fixed, though
@gentle turret Btw, those are the values I get if I connect the modem to the old, long cable, which goes from the basement to the attic and back to the ground floor, so spanning 5 floors, lol
The power levels and MSE are pretty darn good, so I'm gonna leave it like that
That old amplifier and 3-way splitter are for the trash
With the new cable, which goes straight from the basement to the ground floor, the signal isn't significantly better and the power level even a little too high, so I'd probably ideally need a dampener
makes me glad I'm not on a HFC network
Explain
Hybrid Fibre Coax
the type of network you're on where hub to the cabinet and the cabinet to you is copper coax
I meant, why are you glad?
I mean, fibre to the house is probably even better, but at least its not DSL?
oh because on an RFoG network the power levels are just from the modem to the ONU so issues aren't really a thing
it can take a few engineer visits before they finally discover what the actual cause is sometimes
sounds like hassle
There was a company that wanted to build a fibre network in our town a few years ago
They tried to find potential customers for half a year, and if there were enough, they'd build fibre all over town
They cancelled the attempt after 3 months, because people just weren't interested π¦
Meanwhile half of town is still on 2 mbit DSL and can't get better because the hub is over in the next town
Fuck old people π
ah well at least you're not my german friend
he's on slow DSL
whilst the street adjacent him has DOCSIS
Yeah, it's like for a large portion of the town
Like half of it, random streets, have cable, the other doesn't
Wonder if we'll get DOCSIS 3.1 Full Duplex here within the next decade
I'm getting 500mbps in a month as a free upgrade when they roll it out
so that's 575mbps since my ISP overprovisions by 15%
@zenith sonnet we had coxsis 3.1 for about 10 years in the village I lived in previously
and they're starting a 3.1 rollout in two cities later in the year
you didn't have DOCSIS 3.1 for 10 years
whic has under 700 people and doesn't lead anywhere
it only started production in 2013
Mine only overprovisions by about 4-5%
oh, rioght, nevermind
we had docsis 3 at the start
and tehn it was upgarded to 3.1 for some reason
because 3.1 is considerably better
they didn't offer anything better than what 3.0 did
Wonder why they don't upgrade us π¦
but it takes a significant amount of network upgrades and new hardware to migrate to
Oh, costs...
and not a lot of people even used those offerings to theri fullest extend
well even moving to 3.1 but keeping the same speeds is better
since 3.1 has more channels and faster channels
so more customers on the same supply
yea
they had like 4-5 customers in the whole village using the 400 Mbit/s they offered
We get 400 mbit here, but not 500mbit
Which makes me think 400 is the end for 3.0, and 500/1000 are 3.1 speeds
I expect my ISP to start splitting the network at some point in the coming years
in theory 3.0 should be able to do gigabit
to HFC customers stay on DOCSIS but FTTP go to EPON instead of RFoG
they're already trialing it
Cable ISP Virgin Media has this morning announced the trial of a new 8Gbps+ (8000Mbps+) home broadband service via their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP)
With 'upload boost', still getting only 50 mbit up
Significantly better than it used to be, but they should be able to do more
DOCSIS 3.0 can do a theoretical 200mbps upload, but it's not realistic
got that number grossly wrong then
ratio is better
in total it is a lot slower
even though I technically live in a city now
and when my roommates upload something it is blocked for multiple hours
I should be able to get real world ~410/~51.5 with overprovisioning when they fixed the wire or network or whatever issues they have
Thing I'm more interested in at this point are better pings than better speeds, though
pings should stabilise when they fix the upstream issues
good thing my ping has been low enough for years
Lowest I ever had to a speedtest server was 9ms
Currently I can't get under 15
But real world pings are often much higher
Like 30-40ms to the lowest ping Apex servers
I mainly play warframe, which is ptp anyways
so a ping under 100 is considered acceptable
Best one so far
Upload spontaneously can reach 52, or combust totally, though
Had anywhere from 2 to 52
tracerouting the EU West apex legends server is fun
45% of my ping is from me to the headend for my area, another 45% is from there to london
the final 10% is london to amsterdam for the server
so the longest distance contributes the lowest ping increase
Because NL is cool like that
@zenith sonnet currently on a bus with 4g+ in the city centre of Amsterdam
17 ping

@gentle turret Frankfurt 1, 2, Amsterdam and London are all about 32-36ms for me, usually
Often plays like 350, though
@zenith sonnet
https://www.speedtest.net/result/8082984534.png

There's more than one?
starface GmbH and the one above
Lowest ping I can consistently get
is your ISP really called Ziggo?
Used to be 7-8ms in good times
yes it is π
@latent mural Yes, why?
well ping didn't change for the other karlsruhe
Although they probably route via Frankfurt anyway
Karlsruhe is 25km from here, lol
@solar hinge that's slow for a city
That server gives me the best speeds
what is?
The Vodafone server in Frankfurt gives me the lowest pings
Here we get like the most I've seen was 60mb/s
@zenith sonnet what is your dns?
4g in a city
for me it's 500 km away from karlsruhe
ow, that was while being on the bus and in a slower area
@pale sigil 400mbits is about 56MB/s
Qhinns pic
@zenith sonnet if you change your dns to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 it may be much better
Was 34mb
the one from earlier :p
@zenith sonnet
https://www.speedtest.net/result/8082997848.png
actually quite interesting how I got a much better ping to 8.8.8.8
the only vodafone i could see
There's only one Vodafone DE in Frankfurt listed, afaik
Which server in Amsterdam did you use?

rip
i was getting similar speeds on mobile
fastest i ever got on this line was 201 mbit over cable, on wifi it is around 120
Fastest I can get is 350
252 now
0.9% loss T.T
Hope they fix this shit soon
They might have to upgrade the CMTS, though
Or schedule a visit with another customer to fix their faulty hardware
tbh i don't even think my current router can handle any faster
tbh, the only ones in germany that have a better connection are those in one of 8 gigabit cities and even tehn only in small parts of those cities
it took like 6 isp techs to get the speed to where it is now
idk if there are any isp's here that do gigabit
@zenith sonnet i used the Tele2 one, this gave me the lowest ping i believe
plenty of people here that have fibre
funny enough, tele2 is a competitor
Check out my Speedtest result! How fast is your internet? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/4736591142
@olive tulip i'm in hoofddorp and the above is 4g+ in my apartment :p
biggest issue is the fucking building in that is right in front my apartment that is blocking a better signal with the celltower
if i go, maybe 100m to left
i get 190mbit down and 120mbit up π’
if i had that now, i wouldn't have gotten a regular internet line as i have unlimited data
Want to test without ads quinn?
i live near the beach and when i am inside a building i barely get any signal
I just want the ad gone :p
@solar hinge is your connection setting set to single or multi?
My grandparents we literally get no signal
Nothing
0% not even emergency
You have to go up to the attic
ah okay
I get 477 over wifi
@carmine depot we're testing 4g
Ah Ok
mobile results are kinda all over the place
Yeah
the nearest 4G tower is like 800 meters away
mine is like 150m i think
in my area there is like only 1 vodafone tower
The issue for me is the big ass building right in between the tower and my apartment
there is like a whole town between me and the tower
Different times of year the whole vodafone network clogs up with amount of users
and speed etc suffers
tbh i am surprised the vodafone network here even works with 1 tower
like 1 doesn't seem enough
Ive no idea how many masts are near me
All I know is a helicopter crashed into one
So one mast less
there are 9 4G/LTE masts near me
fuuuuuuuck
What's an OP-1?
Recommendations for a new 144Hz WQHD Freesync monitor?
New displays of that type seem to come with VA now instead of IPS
Which is definitely a good thing.
Much better contrast, and a lot worse viewing angles
Ye VA is the middle ground
as some ips panels are 1 expensive and 2 cause ghosting apparently?
never noticed personally
Worse viewing angles - Are you actually sharing the monitor with anyone?
I thought va was decent with viewing angles
I have a curved 1440 VA, and I cannot for the life of me see any shift in colour due to viewing angles. And it's a 32" so there's a LOT of monitor to shift π
Apparently its bad enough to see at the edges of the display when sitting in front of it or moving left and right slightly
Looking at this one currently
I can't do that, no matter how hard I try
Well, I can see a very slight colour shift on my Eizo IPS, so maybe I'm just sensitive
80g
which i use on another board
it just doesn't feel right on flaretech blues at all
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/rog-swift-pg279qz
Alternative IPS
Viewing angles are a hell of a lot better
3 years in
still lookign for a monitor
xD
i wish you the best of luck picking one right for you
I like my FS2735
IPS and gaming though.... and contrast issues. No thanks π
But nowadays you can get similar performance for half the price
Also... it's a ROG monitor. You pay half the price for the GAMUR branding
Blacks could be slightly better, that's true
But the colours and viewing angles make up for it
I politely disagree. At least for gaming purposes π
Well, TN is just horrible to use

TN is aids
Technically its the best solution for gaming
http://us.aoc.com/en/gaming/products/ag322qc4
This is my current monitor.
Only real downside I can think of, is that it doesn't play well with Gsync
No Freesync monitor plays as well with Gsync as it does with Freesync
Some do though
I have a VA monitor, and while I like it, the colours are noticeably flatter than my IPS panels. And when things get real dark on screen, I have to adjust the way I look at it to see clearly
But overall, I like it
I've fiddled with the calibration options and got it to a better point, but I'd really like one of those devices that can help you make it as good as possible
But they're expensive :(
ye I have a VA as my main monitor, IPS for the second screen and they look way too different imo, need to find a store where I can lend a good calibrator lmao

This is the one I have if anyone cares. Got it for like Β£230 so it was a good deal imo
As basic as they come, but still pretty good
I've recently adjusted contrast on mine from 50 to 56
But overall, it was factory calibrated nearly perfectly
Maybe the recalibration was just needed because the panel degrades a little after 3 years of use
Every single monitor I have reviewed had massive improvements across the board, after I ran it through my calibrator.
What do you use to calibrate?
I use a Spyder 5 Elite from Datacoler.
i hate america
AG322QC4

I'd use it
But I probably won't buy it
How much of a difference does going from 27" to 32" @WQHD make?
Feel like it's getting to large for the resolution
Screw it, going to switch to other wooting, really cant be assed oppening all these switches again
god damn it mansen
im blaming it on you for no reason
I think it's a sizeable difference
A curved monitor kind of needs to be able to eat up most of your peripheral vision, otherwise it's wasted.
You can already easily see individual pixels on 27" WQHD at arm's length
32" you'd probably want 4k
I'm not a pixelphile.
I want my PC to be functional in games, not just on the desktop
Also.... 4K 144fps.... I'm not rich π
Don't think it's really viable
32" and 4k
CPU bottlenecks are still a thing
CPU bottlenecks kind of vanish past 1080P
At 4k 144Hz you'll get a GPU bottleneck on top of it
Not really
Nah
Most games, I hit a CPU bottleneck before getting 144 Hz stable
The GPU -IS- the only bottleneck at those resolutions
Even on low settings
Like in Apex, I occasionally drop below 100
But can maintain 144Hz like 50% of the time, at least
My 2080 manages to pull about 100-110 stable in New Dawn on Ultra. took it down a notch to get closer to 144 stable.
@latent mural btw i lost my anne pro somehow

legit cant find it anywhere
Wtf how
I hope Zen 2 will improve the situation somewhat
I hope for at least 10% more IPC than my 5820K and 20% higher clocks
It's probable
At least with OC, if not stock on 1 or 2 models
Wonder how well it will play with memory
Zen was a little weak on that front
Ryzen 2 caught up pretty well.
Only my first gen Ryzens had issues with "bad" 3200mhz RAM
Did Asus ever make a Freesync version of this ASUS PG279QZ?
kinda sucks
i was considering it
but i need a mouse NOW
im using such an old mouse the software is cs source
as the background
π
had to send my glaive off
most of my mice don't come with software
it is both
there are multiple versions
there is also a matt version
and both in black in white
Corsairs is godly
The new one is kinda weird, still
vs logitech
razer is THE worst
and I don't get why corsair is so weird witrh rgb effects
some can use lightning link while others can't
then there is a default effect which is only usable if you just close the software
even though it should switch to what you set as the hardware effect
and, tbh what do you need the software for?
set your dpi once and you're done
macros and so on
Logitech's software is pretty good (straight forward) but haven't really used other ones
I use iCUE for my l120 fans
logitechs software feels like it was made by someone finishing uni
not that good, since it is convoluted af
@pale sigil you know that there is a newer version?
this is the newest version
and you should consider that the loigtech gaming software is like 15 years old now
no u
F
Is it bad that I can't tell the difference between a fully weighted 502 and no weight 502
a brick is a brick
did you at least RMA it
Close enough
logitech rma is like
I RMA'd mine for a broken cord (took 2 months for my replacement)
so your device broke?
HERES A NEW ONE
send us a picture of the mouse and your s/n and you'll get a new one
Logitech is good
and find any way possible to not rma
logitech is actually quite good
but then again people say the same about corsair but they replaced and upgraded my cooler in 3 days
lol
The worst case I've heard with Logitech is someone have a nonfunctional mouse
Logitech told him he had to destroy it to get a new one
intel is THE worst
Logitech tends to just ask me to take a hammer to their stuff, and they ship a new one π
Like destroy destroy
Think people started abusing that RMA
You know how annoying it was to shop a H80I?
Annoying
i had to pay for delivery π¦
Always contact seller, not manufacturer π
GOD DAMN IT G703 IS OUT OF STOCK FOR 2 HOUR DELIVERY
I'm a bit concerned about my AIO
If it dies I don't know where to bring it to replace/refund
Asian market
Thermal take
AIO
Oh boi
tbh
you likely can contact thermaltake
I'm going back to a beefy cooler once im done with the aio
@pale sigil get a zowie
god damn amazon and min price for delivery
get a Air58 π
not possible
i need a new mouse asap π¦
get a ec2-b
That NINJA tax
in pink or blue
you pay for the dpi
it has the same sensor everyone else uses
bitch i use 16000 dpi
WHY IS MY EMOJIS BROKEN?
the sensor gets more inaccurate
*fk2 my bad
and look at what the pros are using
either a sponsored logitech or a zowie
usually ec or fk
paid to use
I'm certain you use 16k dpi with downscaling somewhere else so you dont really need it
not with zowie though
16k dpi is crazy
im crazy
I barely use 800+ dpi
16k dpi is unusable
then again I have a SMOLL desk
and you loose a lot of the benefits of an accurate sensor
1v1 me and see who loses
are you sure you never decresed mouse speed in the windows settings for example?
pft
have you switched off mouse acceleration?
i have never touched windows settings except for the mouse acceleration
used a corsair glaive
As much as i loved it
the people need more SPEEEEEED
i dont want to rebuy it
120g? damn that mouse is heavy
Wait, isn't everyone using MarkC mosue fix to disable acceleration?
I sure hope so.
heavy mice are the best mice
why make good mice if you can try to sell overpriced pieces of crap?
more weight = more good
just strap some weights to the 502
just tape your old logitech m100 to a brick and you are all set
im not a believer in the price mice cost, that particular case i saved 1000 pounds and felt like spoiling myself
Fill it with sand or something
thus i bought an overpriced mouse
don't forget the shitty cable of the g502
π
I will never forget the shitty cable for 502
though the newer hero 502 has a nicer cable according to somewhere I read
@zenith sonnet is that tool doing anything more than what disabling mouse accell in windows manually does?
ur crap
a mouse is a mouse
I swear if we don't get 32k dpi by 2020 i am going to kill the pixart ceo
until you start throwing it when you feel stuttering
why tf do you need 32k dpi
more dpi = better
SPEED MOTHER FUCKERS
