Which GPU is it? You can often buy aftermarket cooling from companies like Arctic.
And sometimes you can poke customer support from the manufacturer for a new fan as well, depending on how easy it is to remove and replace.

What I dont understand is how microsoft cant fix this. It is a problem since windows 7 I think and they just do nothing. All my folder properties like I prefer to sort my fodlers to date and after every windows update that is reset. Also I use a 3rd party application to install an EQ for my headphones and all sound setting from windows are reset after every update. Those or known issues everyone has I think and they still dont fix that

A theoretical perfect DRM would be a good thing. Don't affect performance, don't affect platform compatibility, don't affect reinstallation, but prevent theft. Customer gets the same game, developer has at least marginally better revenue (depending on pirate-customer conversion rate), leading to potentially better developed games later from reinvestment.
So there's at least a potential market for DRM. The issue is that companies creating DRM products don't have this pie-in-the-sky DRM, but the suit they're selling it to doesn't know better.
Those are both concerns outside the scope of the conversation
