The living world concept is great on paper. Even with permadeath. But then they throw in unique recruits with hilariously OP traits to invalidate any random person you find, and throw in literal micro transaction recruits as well.
The game is actively pushing you towards disabling permadeath and bypassing the whole idea of flawed recruits.
It's like taking out the RNG element from XCOM.

Aaaaaaand WD: Legion has been yeeted off my SSD.
Story isn't engaging at all. They removed the awesome hacker asthetic and the game doesn't use the permadeath system at all unless you're downright incompetent.
Although the reason I yeeted it was that it doesn't save when it should (had to redo an entire mission due to a softlock), and in-mission checkpoints are often too far in between.

I didn't like it.
- Got rid of the ASCII hacking theme which was awesome.
- Anyone can hack now. Literally click phone button - the game doesn't try to explain why a construction worker can hack into a sophisticated network.
- Permadeath system and "you can recruit anyone" doesn't really work, since there are no hard-locked traits. You don't NEED a hacker, since anyone can hack. You don't NEED a machinegun toting merc, unless you really want to. I've gotten by with the basic stun gun for 13 hours.
- The story is... well like WD2 it tries to insert grim and dark stuff. Dark stuff...but it treats it like it's not really serious and no one comments on it afterwards. Torture, organ harvesting, and ... other things I'd be spoiling.

Basically just translated blocks into javascript on the back, and ran that in an iframe
