[v4.5.0] New Wootility Beta release is live!

This is an exciting Beta release. Not only did we add a bunch of quality of life improvements, we also added Flaretech keyboard support! This means Wooting one and Wooting two Flaretech keyboards can enjoy most of the new features with few limitations due to the hardware/technology. Once you update to v4 you won't be able to go back to v3, don't even try!

Additional Highlights: RGB Layers, Better translations system and more

[v4.5.0] New Wootility Stable release is live! @everyone

This is an exciting release. Not only did we add RGB per Fn layer amongst other cool improvements, we also added Flaretech keyboard support! This means Wooting one and Wooting two Flaretech keyboards can enjoy a bunch of new features with a few limitations due to the hardware/technology. [The update to v4 is one-way, you won't be able to return to v3!]

I also want to highlight that we stepped up our translation game now anyone can easily help out translating their language. 🇯🇵 🇫🇷 🇪🇸
Many thanks to all that have already participated in translations through the Beta, Wootility has already had a massive boost in translation support thanks to them!

[v4.5.5] New Wootility Stable release is live! @everyone

The primary goal of this release is to improve the stability and consistency of the user experience.

We've worked hard to make stability improvements with Tachyon mode for this release, including much better support for custom/coiled cables.
Not only is Tachyon mode slightly faster now, we also added a new Tachyon Mode setting for the Wooting Two HE & Lekker Edition keyboards!

Bringing to you the new feature "Tachyon Focused mode". Giving the Wooting Two HE and Lekker edition even more speed.
Focus mode prioritizes a section of the keyboard for super fast scanning to give you that same performance as you get on our 60HE keyboards.

Beta Firmware v2.6.22-beta
Hey <@&725685824020283432>, I've got a nice lil beta firmware update for y'all to try. It's mainly bug fixes, except for a really big highlight: Significant Analog Signal processing improvements.
ARM-based boards now scan at a higher resolution, resulting in a much more precise analog response. All HE keyboards now get better noise handling to ensure the highest accuracy of your physical movements!

Changelog:

  • Include High Res scan changes. This means that ARM now has a significantly higher resolution of analog signal and much better noise behaviour. AVR has the same resolution as before but with the better noise handling
  • Fix Fn Lock issues on Flaretech https://github.com/WootingKb/wootility-issues/issues/216
  • Fix the issue with Two HE/Lekker where the Esc key would always have some red even when set to black
  • Improve Wootility <-> device communication on ARM to make it more reliable

A little demo on a 60HE ARM:

~~[v4.6.12-beta] New Wootility Beta release is live, just in time for Christmas! ~~<@&725685824020283432>

Hey all, I've finally managed to get a beta out with some of the things that have been in the pipeline for a while.

Note: for now, early batches of 60HE ARM should not update to the beta firmware, there appears to be a bug affecting it. I will update when I have a patch for it

The highlights:

  • New firmware with significant improvements to Analog Signal Processing (building on top of v2.7.1-test.signal.0). Which helps solve many end user issues, as well as improves performance and sensitivity (Only on ARM based boards)
  • Advanced Keys can now be bound to the same key across multiple layers (Only on ARM based boards)
  • You can now use Fn keys with the Toggle key
  • Better update handling of Wootility Web, no more getting stuck on old versions and not knowing
  • Various fixes to Advanced key behaviours

[v5.0.0-beta.1] New beta release is live! SwitchyLaser <@&725685824020283432>

Welcome to the first beta of Wootility v5 which we've been hard at work at for some time.

As a whole there is not a massive difference in the feature set going from v4 to v5. Our core goal has been to implement the new design from @torn canopy (our UI/UX designer), giving us more room to implement the big new features we're planning. That being said, there has been significant improvements to the user experience, some quality of life improvements and a few new features. We're currently at the stage where our focus is on stability, so we've temporarily paused the majority of new features, with the goal being to squash as many issues as possible to ensure you have the smoothest experience possible!

Wootility v5 was initially launched as an Alpha for 80HE first deliveries. Now we're inviting all users to try out this beta, find sneaky issues and share any feedback you might have!

To see an overview of what has changed from Wootility v4 and to download the Desktop app, have a look at the changelog here: https://wooting.io/wootility/changelogs/5.0.0-beta.1

The web version is available at https://v5.wootility.io/ or https://beta.wootility.io/

[v5.0.0-beta.3] New beta release is live! SwitchyDrool <@&725685824020283432>

This release includes some big changes to the Light Indicator tab to get it into a better place, biggest part being getting it to interact well with Tachyon mode. We've still got some things to work on, such as increasing the maximum number of effects, but overall we're much happier with the state it is in 😁

There are also lots of fixes and small improvements. One big one being that some patches for the 80HE freezing have been included (from the v2.10.0-test.anti.freeze.1 test build), we're still hard at work to iron out these issues, but we've gotten a lot of feedback from testers that this fixes many instances of freezing.

This release includes one really big improvement, where we've been able to improve Wootility running at the same time as 3rd party apps that control the RGB on the keyboard. With the latest firmware and Wootility, the device should now keep a stable connection with Wootility.
