If one doesn't want to constantly flick prayer during slayer, would it be best to use piety and melee pray going through quite a bit of ppots? use ultimate strength/superhuman strength instead? also do yall constantly use ancient mace spec on dummies before tasks? I know it must vary wildly per account but im currently sitting on a ppot stack of about 1500 with 88 slayer and not sure what to stick with
#Piety for slayer?

ppots are meant to be used and piety is op
Use Piety and ppots, and do a farming contract and herb run between tasks. Easiest way to sustain
makes sense guys ty
for reference I value a prayer dose at a couple of ticks of timesave
You use piety, you don't always need to use protect melee
so things like ancient mace spec on poh dummy is not worth the time imo
pots are infinite but lazy flick piety is fine
How are ppots infinite? I do my contracts, keep kingdom running etc but defo can't keep up with ranarr seeds and pots. If i start using piety on general tasks it'll just drain that much faster
they aren't quite infinite but people tend to overvalue them. if you're constantly low it's probably best to pause combat for a while and focus on other skills while letting your stocks replenish. Kingdom barely does anything for prayer pots fyi
one of many reasons why rushing slayer/pvm on an iron makes your life difficult
Yeah im taking a break before starting my bossing again. But kingdom is pretty much the only place reliably giving me ranarr. sacks from hard farming contracts are ass in terms of snap/ranarr for me.
I know HS is a good place, but saying just go 99 agility is kinda 1 way burnout ticket.
So was kinda curious how easy people talked about ppots here
it takes a while from contracts for sure
average iron probably does like 1k contracts these days which is a couple hundred each ranarr and snapdragon seeds
a lot of seeds later on also come from pvm
seems to be about 3.5 ranarrs a day with ideal conditions from 10 on herb on kingdom. kinda bad lol
3.5 rannar passive still better than doing contracts for a week and not receiving a ranarr seed tho 😛 but sure maybe im rushing pvm to hard and gotta chill for a long while and just skill. havent been iron for to long yet ~1.5 year
how are you doing contracts for a week and not receiving a ranarr seed
are you doing correct preplants?
often enough i hit 3+ b2b's yes
3 is not a lot if that is what you max out at, my record is 9 and like 5-6 in a row were not unusual
I'd check out the farming guide in #1052266500041478246 if you haven't already
if you have you are probably really unlucky
ill check it out but it's to often i just get herbs into snape into herb and have to wait again. but never deep dived it to much.
hmm yeah sounds like you could improve them
can check my loottracker later, but im very sure it's ass 😛
Sepulchre is efficient but not essential. Ppots were free before it existed
Make sure to focus on farming early. 85 farming before 58 slayer is my recommendation
After that, maintain your contracts over time and don't rush combat or pvm
In general you need to do a lot of side skilling anyway, that's a good opportunity to get ahead
Misc does almost nothing as mentioned
I think 3-4 contract completions a day is quite solid. As mentioned most irons do maybe 1-1.5k contracts to max, so that's the better part of 1-2 years which is honestly fast for maxing. Long term it's fine, you just have to plan ahead (or do sepulchre)
Also if you find yourself consuming a lot on slayer tasks you may benefit from looking into that, meta slayer drains surprisingly little ppots
Thanks for the replies guys, in my mind kingdom really generated 80% of my ppots getting me to (i'd say beginning of endgame / end of midgame) and other sources like farming proved difficult in terms of ppots. I'm now at cerb but only 400 pots left so i have to take a break now. Ill be checking out the farming guide better to see where i can improve.
