Alright. I spooned a shadow at 42 kc on 180 invo. It hasn't even been on my radar as a possibility, so I know next to nothing about where to use it. Screenshot shows my mage setup - clearly I need some upgrades. Where do I start? Where should I put my focus? Where can I get the most use out of it outside of TOA?

slayer for occult and zenytes is a no brainer
also start focusing on farming more + farming contracts
other than that, keep following the regular progression, nothing really changes imo with a spooned shadow. It just means you can leave toa after fang/lb until you have a tbow

Just a suggestion as I’m in a similar boat. Jagex said that a shadow rework is going to be inc before any new magic items are added to the game. The speculation is that they’re going to take some power away from the gear % increase and make the base staff more powerful (so same max power, but more power with lower levels of gear).
This in mind, I’m going to spend the next few months getting elite diaries knocked out via skilling instead of focusing on slayer/bossing. My hope is that by the time I’m done skilling, the shadow rework is close to launch & it would make shadow more viable to do things like grind fang from ToA, use the staff on Yama (I know there’s a magic style on Yama, not sure how good it is though), etc. etc.
Best case scenario you get a nice dps boost for some bosses that you previously might not have had the gear to use shadow on, worst case scenario you get the pesky skilling out of the way and carry on with progression as the shadow currently sits.
