I am on Bruhsailer Ch2S37 where I am trying to farm Rex for the Berserker Ring. I am finding that my trips are very short (managed 12KC just now) as I am taking lots of damage from the Spinolyps. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

That's normal, esp at 50 def
I'd value a rune kite if you have it and higher level gloves, otherwise soldier on

fwiw you can buy an addy kite
