Do I want to buy from the charters at Catherby and bank there, or do I want to buy the materials at Phasmatys charter, make the glass there and glassblow while walking back to charters?
Or does either option work fine and it's a preference thing?

You cant really train at charters without SGM
instead you just separately buy the soda ash, mine the sand and manually make glass
or use a different crafting training method

yeah, its honestly not very doable to get many that early this way
you get a bunch of crafting xp from quests too
for that reason some amount of non-SGM glass is alright

But you need 61 to do Lunars at all, which is a decent amount of crafting xp you have to get somewhere without SGM

Which, according to the xp rewards for all the pre-61 quests, you can get 85k crafting xp from quests alone, which puts you at 48. Which still leaves ~217k xp you have to grind out somewhere
