I just managed to get the blowpipe a minute ago, what darts should I use?
I got 4572 mithril bars, 2124 adamant bars & 212 runite bars.

Ideally you'd only use rune+ darts (rune/amethyst/dragon), but if you find yourself blowpiping a lot you can also use addy for some of the lower def mobs

I'd aim to only use rune or above, though

I'd phrase it more strongly: do not use addy or below. You need rune or amethyst.

Tbh given how sparingly one uses pipe these days you can even justify using dragon whenever you use pipe, since most of the ranged encounters are either bowfa or tbow or DHCB or ACB or a ballista(!) nowadays. Pipe still has uses but it's not ubiquitous so ddarts are pretty sustainable

That way you can get alchs out of your rune bars and avoid mining amethyst (slow)

For tagging mobs for Slayer I do use my addy darts but you can even just use steel darts from GWD for that. I just happen to have the addy darts from pre-nerf days

But for like Zulrah 1+1 pipe bowfa I use ddarts, for TD pipe swap I use ddarts, etc.

As long as you do enough ToA and Vork to sustain the darts that is^^

hijacking thread, do you use pipe on torm demons? if so, can you elaborate, when, why, how?

I stuck magic fang on staff of the dead just to envenom td's, venom hit about 10s at end of kill usually. was maging because wiki dps calc told me it was better than bofa in my gear and I didn't care about spending soul runes. I'd love some opinions about this

Camp bowfa until you have done 6 attacks and then swap to pipe because it has 100% accuracy

Uhhh not sure about that TSOTD tech, doesn't sound that good to me
I have basically BiS mage and it may have pulled a little ahead of bowfa but not by enough to justify the huge cost in both Zulrah scales and runes

I just used Arclight + Dharok's Axe and bowfa + pipe + ballista

imo the pipe is optional at best. You're aiming for 55-60 kph and the def thing resets at half health, most of the fight is done with the defence up

Yea it's definitely optional, which is why I didn't mind taking dragon darts because you barely use any

But it also doesn't matter nearly as much because you have 100% accuracy anyway

Thanks! I think I went up from 5.5 with bofa to 6.4 with spells and I'm happy about that choice. magic fang was probably sketch

I was really just wanting to use it for killing minions at Bandos, for now at least
