#Pre-CG, Moons of peril?

Hiya, i've been away from OSRS for a little bit and have come back to quite a bit of stuff.

Attached is my current gear and stats, also have b-ring slayer helm etc.
I am in a group ironman so have abby dagger, 1x zenyte for a piece of jewellery also.

I was wondering if moons of peril is worth doing for wep/armour upgrades? Or is the path still CG --> other things 😂
Have looked on reddit and seen mixed views all the way around so not entirely sure.

perilous moons is not worth doing, but if you enjoy it go for it

lets say you have all moons gear though, are the pieces any good in any early/mid game stuff?

The robes are lighter than ahrims

the blood moon armour is equivalent to BCP + tassets for slayer
but that's not saying much because you can use torso + obby legs for same max hit

so really it's pretty low value
if you wanted to do things as quickly as possible you would just use torso

if you want to grind for an item then why bother with this when you can just bowfa Bandos
since you need BGS anyway, and boots for a clue, and items for eventual Torva

there is one late-game niche where a set is good in ToB pre-scythe (supposedly)

What is the meta mage gear if it isn't the blue moon set (assuming mage dmg rework)?

I need to math out how long MTA book takes

it's possible it's worth it if you're getting 3 maxes between ring and book combined

New iron here, I know bloodbark and some other mage armours are getting a buff to 1% per piece but what makes bloodbark specifically new meta? if someone doesn't mind explaining

moreover if you are hcim/uim the outfit is legit to get pre-99 so the bloodbark scroll is 0-time on avg to full outfit

  • bloodbark armour is something you craft
  • the ability to craft it comes from Shades of Mort'ton minigame
  • that minigame also has the robes that grant 2.5% bonus Prayer XP when training
  • that outfit is worth getting for HCIM/UIM since their efficient prayer rate is slow enough that the outfit is overall a time save to 99
  • the outfit is 4 pieces (can't get dupes) and on average it's longer/rarer to get than the bloodbark scroll
  • thus you are likely to get the scroll on the way to the outfit
