Have been looking into GotR to make sure I'm doing it as efficiently as possible - had watched BRUH's video of a good run and was more or less copying that to good effect when I came across this recent video: https://youtu.be/kH3xUxW1wN0?si=7gHJoszv9ATzKkqh
He does a few things very differently but seems to be getting better results:
-dedicating entire runs to catalytic or elemental. the benefit of this seems to be that you can save inventory space by not bringing a stack of elemental runes to make combo runes on your catalytic runs. also that's it's slightly more braindead but that hardly seems to matter much.
-ignoring cells. I'm less sold on this- saves inventory space and time, and plays into the overall strategy of going for a particular type (elemental/catalytic) rather than the highest tier of altar available since you don't have to care about overcharged cells, but I wonder if a hybrid strat incorporating them might be better.
-ignoring the first two rotations and mining at the large essence until the first portal. sets him up on essence all game and seems simpler, plus the longer afk is nice.
thoughts on this? just some stuff I've been mulling over ^^
This is my first tutorial guide for OSRS - hope this helps you in your grind to 99! Please let me know if you have any suggestions for other video tutorials. Thanks!
