Don't currently have dsword/hasta/abby dagger, but I'll hopefully finish cg soon so I can probably get one.
Are there any reasonable alternatives, or should I just grind one of them out, if so, which? Would a chally be a workable substitute?

Doing a few for fun can be done in any shit gear.

Actually camping for items you should have hasta and bofa minimum imo. Invo scales so hard that you really want to push up to high 300s/400s ASAP.

try to run a setup like this, works nicely up to 350
the torm and feros are not meaningful, you can camp bgloves fine
similarly dboots are fine, no need for prims, etc.
but the framework should be something like this

I really wouldn't go with anything too much worse than hasta. dsword is not great

Alright, how necessary is torture over fury? Can I do dwh instead of bgs?

a lot of the stuff in there is very optional

if you dont have bgs you can use a bone dagger

do not use dwh

id get the zenytes sooner rather than later, if you're skipping both torture and anguish it will add up over time

while the bandos is minor I included it because you're almost certainly going to get at least one piece on the way to BGS

and honestly while bone dagger is "fine" BGS is just kinda better at that RL
