Following bruhsailer guide just reached chapter 2, was wondering why sand crabs are better than ammonite crabs

"Alternatively train your melee stats by killing sand crabs in Crabclaw cave (not ammonite
crabs) or Nightmare zone (after a dragon defender)."

Currently 48 atk/78 str/40 def from ammonite crabs, have a new game i want to be playing soon so was looking for a long afk activity.

Ammonite crabs are highly contested meaning you waste time looking for a spot

#

once you hit the point where hp matter you should be doing nmz

sand crabs in sand crab cave are nearly as good but they're never contested.

Ah, tbh i didnt notice contesting being that bad + i enjoyed banking prayer xp from fossils/seaweed spores/being close to birdhouses

#

Nmz seems expensive since i have a hard time commiting 3+ hrs sitting at a computer and i wont get the full value

nmz should be pretty cheap. Generally your best bet if you don't have money is just get money. doing an efficient method for GP and then spending that GP for an efficient training method is better than doing something slowly that doesn't cost much

#

That being said it really is up to you, I did plenty of sand crabs early on when I needed to afk

topaz mason
#

Sounds like great advice, thanks!

For some early game money I'd look into doing battle staves. They seriously changed the way I view GP on the iron, they're really good early on and training crafting and magic at the same time while providing a lot of gp

template exists for a reason!

Yeah i ran 1600 earth orbs last night

velvet apex
#

fuck yeah you're rich

topaz mason
#

Was reading the chapter 2 document before bed so i had some questions

#

How much is 1600 orbs in gp

velvet apex
#

parasailer probably knows off the top of their head but let me see if I can find my notes and I'll give the answer if they don't beat me to it

halcyon fjord
#

It's around 2.1k GP each, let's say 2k
So 3.2m

velvet apex
#

damn i almost made it in time. yeah that

topaz mason
#

Thats cool, but i assume the guide requires that gp so ill mine more sand

halcyon fjord
#

That's right XD

#

You use all of it

#

Pretty much our goal is to operate as close to 0 GP as possible

#

And at times we spike and at other times we are like < 100k away from being broke

#

Ofc after Sepulchre and CG you become insanely rich

#

But after dumping it in Miscellania and getting high Construction/Smithing you're prob looking at < 5m stack again

topaz mason
#

Sounds good, thanks everyone :~)

Wouldn’t spend money on more than 1.5-1.6k diary/wizard guild staves

#

But should make ~2k orbs

#

Rest will come from celastrus bark

#

And this is enough gp to get you out of early game into mid game content that provides gp

topaz mason
#

I made 2.4k orbs

#

Do u really get that much bark from celastrus trees?

#

I never planted them before

halcyon fjord
#

Over time yes

#

The 1600 is sufficient for the guide + early-game

#

The last 400 you'll just make while maxing

#

Cute extra GP that you might as well have

topaz mason
#

Hmm is making battlestaves just an early game thing?

stone shadow
#

Yea not great beyond early game given agility and rc exist

halcyon fjord
#

Yep

feral ice
#

Rc exist as in zmi and selling runes?
