Organizing inventory with switches

I am doing demonics and running into a problem. This is what my inv looks like, and am having a problem when I pick up loot. Since I am using a msb when I do my swap that means there is an extra spot open. If I pick up drops while using ranged when I swap back now my defender is in a different spot. I like to have my swaps top left to they are closer to the middle of my screen, but it is a pain to have to reorganize each drop pickup. What do other people like to do for this? The same problem happens when my pots empty.

For starters you could move the pod and pouch to the first row. That way your defender wont get placed in the first row at all. Id do the pouch on the 3rd slot and pod 4th if you were to do that because of potential missclicks

You can also try to equip msb after every kill/before you start looting so the new loot doesnt get moved to the spot of your defender

Another option is to use a rune cbow instead. This also might reduce the amount of switches you have to do since rcb has a higher hits and can carry over the 50 hp switch mechanic

Good points. I was also interested in what people did in general as well. Especially for content that requires a bunch of switches

I do something like this, as doom suggested keeping the non-consumable items at the top so my switches are consistent. I also might suggest a dueling right over having house teles in bag, bring alchs and store one of the runes demonics drop in the 3rd slot. Don't use rcb, msb i is much better.
