Hi guys,
Im not feeling all that sure about what to wear for my barrage tasks, i.e. Dagannoths, nechs, ankou(?, i do em for pts still), dust devils. Is a combination of monk robes/vestment robes the way to go? Is it mystics? If it depends on the task, how so?

Dags: i use graceful but monks /vestments robes are fine

jellies and smoke devils: best mage armour you have

kept my weight low so didnt have to take stams. may be more of an UIM thing but it worked perfectly for me

If you don't have ancestral this gear is the default setup for every barrage task
This one in particular is for ankous
Some notes:
• use slaughters when appropriate
• replace ring with seers for smokes, wealth for dusts
• replace robes and boots with mystics and eternals for smokes, dusts, dags
• replace book with ward or ward(f) if you have it
• bring an anti-dragon shield switch for abbys (or wyvern shield, whatever)

vestments are nice for the +8 magic though!
you could also use zealot top + bottom which I believe is no accuracy but same pray bonus as proselyte

Yeah definitely, like how Mork said mystics are a waste of ppots for 0.1% DPS
OTOH proselyte -> vestments is barely any change in ppots for like 1% DPS
So it's kinda wild lol

On a fresh iron I'd just keep one of each clue in bank and never do that shit

Wait the trend was that damage > accuracy > prayer but you can trade off the latter two in a reasonable way (vestments over mystics but not proselyte over vestments)

you always wear some form of robes, be it mystics, vestments or monks
but the choice differs per task
also ring is always lightbearer, but if you dont have one it's either a prayer ring, row or seers depending on task

Nechs is melee now so the only one where you even entertain vestments/monks is abbys then

my impression of melee nehcs is that they have a depencendy for wrath runes

- ankou, dags, smokes: wear mage gear (mystics > vestments > monks) and a seers
- dusties: wear mage gear and a row
