This event completely changed kuzan to "lazy justice" from "firely justice" because it shattered his belief in the system. He pretty much was only there at that point because "if he became fleet admiral maybe he could make it better". since he lost he gave up completely on the system and the concept of justice

this is why BB finds him depressed in a bar drinking away since he didnt know what to do until BB remotivated him

No, i understand why kuzan left. I'm not questioning that. He doesn't wanna work under or take orders from akainu because of ohara incident. However he didn't have any reason to start revenge now and ignore all these years
