Weakest part of the team is honestly the ST unit, and that’s mainly cause we have shit returners
where did justin turner go?
Yeah, I've learnt with the Bucs that no expectations helps a lot with the Bucs regardless if we have the GOAT or not.
he hasnt been seen for the last 45 mins
He got injured I think
They were speculating why he was swapped out at 3rd for a while
none of the dodger reporters have even seen him
usually they would by now
he wasnt on the field either celebrating
which is insane hes literally one of our cornerstones
Yeah so he probably got hurt
I swear, I can't shake the idea that Kevin Cash was trying to get fired so he can manage a team with an actual payroll.
Fuck Stuart Sternberg. Cheapass asshole.
314
And might be on his way to a hospital
knowing turner, he would force himself out there
but man i hope thats not the case
he deserves all of this
and i hope hes okay
WHAT
TURNER RECEIVED A POSITIVE COVID TEST?

Welp
Not like they were even gonna have a parade for them anyways with all the Covid restrictions
Prayers to him and anyone he might have accidentally infected
friedman might be one of the kewlest GMs in sports
Imagine having money to add depth.
Roberts now will probably stay tho
You don’t fire a guy coming off of a WS win, even if you could find a mountain of evidence to support such a move
Jon Cooper knows the feeling.
One more thing: This isn't a fraudulent championship for the Dodgers. That's a bullshit claim and you know it.
The Dodgers had so much goddamn talent and structure in their organization that they couldve made the postseason with two separate rosters.
Stop it.
495
Who is accusing the Dodgers of being frauds?
A lot of people actually. You had to see r/baseball.
They won fair and square, and they’ve added great talent through FA and trades because their ownership aren’t a bunch of cheap asses
Come on Glazers, even though you’ve been shit for most of your time as owners even you would be an improvement over Sternberg. Buy the team and keep us in Tampa
The Glazers would do the same shit, man. You see how complacent they've been with the Bucs and Manchester United.
Hard Cap is the future of small market baseball.
I’d take my chances with them over Sternberg any day of the week
I was begging for Jeff Vinik to buy the Rays for sometime. but then he said he had no interest in buying the Rays and i died inside.

Don’t quite know if he could afford
Don’t think you’d be able to buy a baseball franchise for anything less than 1B, even the shitty ones
I mean he owns some of the Red Sox.
Key word there “some”
Yeah.
Not hard for a multi millionaire to become a minority owner of some sports franchise
I imagine it’s probably pretty close to buying stocks
I’m just starting to get this feeling of dread that that was probably it our last best shot at convincing him to put in an effort to keep the Rays in Tampa
And now it just feels like an inevitability that they’re moving, either to Montreal or wherever
I'm not sure If I'll be an Expo fan or not. I'm gonna be honest.
There's a reason I've been rooting for the White Sox some what.
Oh well, at least if/when it happens the Rays won’t get made fun of for having a shit horn stadium like the Trop anymore
Which I honestly don’t even think is that bad but it falls completely short in comparison to other stadiums I’ve been to
It will be one of the best days whenever The Trop is blown up. I'll play it on loop for hours.
And I'll say. Fuck driving 2 hours to watch a baseball game.
Like I’ve been to the Orioles stadium when I went up for a week to celebrate my cousin’s wedding, and holy shit was it nice
I've been to both New York teams stadiums. They sure don't look like a prison compared to the Trop.
Although it has looked better the last 2 years.
Yankees stadium is so nice too
Yankee fans hate it though.
They don’t know how good they have it
You can say that for many things.
Dude if the Steinbrenners bought the Rays I would be over the moon
Like they’re so rooted in FL they’d never move the team out of state
I always get mad looking at the Yankees spring training building right next to the Ray Jay. That should be where the Rays should be playing, damnit.
Must be nice to have money. Again a hard cap is the future baseball can't run away from forever.
Players will never agree to it though
Like yeah eventually you’d think that the money well with run dry from all the TV deals but to this point I’m pretty sure MLB is the 2nd most lucrative sports league in the US behind the NFL
And even then the players in the NFL don’t get paid anywhere near as much as they should considering how much more dangerous football is in comparison to baseball and basketball
Guess what? Hockey players didn't either. We're already seeing signs of that in baseball. I remember 2019 FA being very quiet because nobody wanted to spend money. A lockout is coming.
#Rays Snell: "I did everything I could to stay in that game. ... I know it's third time through ... but I believe in me.''

You did great this series Snell, it ain’t your fault Cash is a dumbass
Also Ryan Anderson can promptly fuck right off, please and thank you
I am hoping Blake doesn't demand a trade.
Thanks to everyone reaching out! I feel great, no symptoms at all. Just experienced every emotion you can possibly imagine. Can’t believe I couldn’t be out there to celebrate with my guys! So proud of this team & unbelievably happy for the City of LA

Wouldn’t blame him one bit if he did
I'm still not over the time David Price went to the Tigers.
Don't want that feeling again.
brooo
you just reminded me
we get david price back next year
we have this same squad with the exception of kike, treinen and a few others at least next year
Didn't Price drop out for the year?
Tell you what though, Franco better live up to the hype when we (hopefully) call him up next season
Need someone to join Randy in being able to be a reliable bat
Also hope Randy isn’t a postseason phenomena and can get anywhere near this level going forward
Congratulations to the Colorado Rockies, the only team to beat the Dodgers in a series this year.
1643
10424
i mean theyre not wrong
yea he opted out, siren
Need someone to join Randy in being able to be a reliable bat
I still think Meadows can also be reliable. I think he just had a down year.
'55, '59, '63, '65, '81, '88, and now 2020.
What a year. What a season. What a team.
Congratulations @Dodgers
19462
57582
Picked a shit time for that
nothing makes me happier than seeing this man see the dodgers win it
That's just the nature of this year. Normally, a lot of these struggles would happen after the all star break. But it just happened in the worst time. The bats just lost steam.
Franco will be up for sure. At least as DH.
I think Willy is too good at SS right now to take that away from him.
Tip my hat to Snell and Morton though, at least 2 of our star pitchers decided to play like it
Glasnow needs to learn from this.
Like I’d be ecstatic if he could even begin to have the kinds of struggles that Kershaw has had in the WS in recent years, just get anywhere near his level first please
My only concern with Glasnow is everything going on in his head. I question if he's mentally strong enough.
Same
He’s so painfully average despite having the physical ability to be an all star
6’8 with a cannon doesn’t just grow on trees
You have to remember that this was his 2nd time playing in the playoffs. Lots to still learn.
Snell is better though. It showed.
He isn’t getting any younger though, he just turned 27 in August
Like I’m not closing the door on him or anything, but time is ticking
You're right on that.
I don't think he'll ever be the ace of the line up. But he can at least be a good 3rd pitcher on a team.
Are we likely losing anyone on FA?
God, the more I think about it. I'm hoping Glasnow isn't just the baseball version of Jameis Winston. Lots of talent while serving cookies for the other team.
I can't get that out of my head now.
Are we likely losing anyone on FA?
Zunino and Drake probably.
I can live with it
Same.
Would love to go after Realmuto if we want a new C, but that would require Stu to open up his checkbook and there is probably a better chance of hell freezing over than that happening
Imagine $tu spending more than 15 million on FAs

Yeah, I think Buggy will more likely become the Pirate King then $tu spending money on players.
They're both clowns after all.
Would you go after Brantley? I think I’d like to
Last P we got from HOU has turned out pretty decent if I do say so myself
Sorry not P
Ment player in general
All depends if his production doesn't fall off a cliff. Even if $tu spent money. I would get Chris Davis flashbacks.
He's 33 after all.
I really do hope we get rid of Anderson though
I'm sure he's normally reliable but to suck ass THAT hard in the playoffs?
It's just too much for me
Kinda hard to determine at this point for me.

Juba would u play Big Ben against the ravens
what's the alternative?
I'd say yes depending on who your back up is, outside of this last game he's played great all season
Plus that Steelers D is gonna devour Lamar
It is an interesting match up since Captain Fat Fuck didn't face the Ravens at all last season.
And they still nearly won the first match up last year, and that was when Lamar was starting to get hot
Rly u think so?
I’m scared becuz
Burrow had 2 points against the ravens
They are scary team
Ravens D is overrated
They have 1 win over a team with a winning record so far
And that's the Browns

Pittsburgh is more legit
Ravens can't compete if they fall behind, and they will
Cause Pittsburgh might have the best D this season so far
Yea but it just comes down to Big Ben being able to perform
And not only is Big Ben healthy but he's being efficient as hell and has weapons
2 weren't his fault
One was a hail mary at the end of the half so it didn't even hurt them
I'd have to check out the other one again cause I don't remember it being his fault, I think it was just a good play where they batted the ball at the line and got a pick
3rd one was on him but to be fair his receiver should have caught the ball, it would've been a TD
Wentz just imo is way too turnover prone
To his credit he does have 15 total TDs...but he also has 12 total turnovers
I just think Ben is gonna have a better day, but who knows since the Boys are their 3rd string QB and the Eagles defense has been getting hot maybe he'll have more opportunities to score on a presumably tired Boys Defense?
brat jedi govna
Who wins the Champions League?
Is it Bayern München?
Juventus?
ManCity?
Barcelona?
I dont put Real Madrid in there anymore...

BARCA WIN
bro
dude just needs to be a little more patient
but barca easily outclassed juve today
Those 3 "goals" were the only 3 shots on target for Juve
yea barca should have scored a few more
but they dominated the game
and even a 1-0 lead felt secure
which it never does for barca lol
but an away win in turin is a big W
fati passed this
instead of shooting it
and even the pic is a bit unfair, when fati settles under it, hes already half way in the box
what is this archer
Khabib giving good advice
i love khabib
dembouz had a chance to score and fati as well
both passed
convincing win tho
also pedri is insane on the 1 on 1
ya good team out there
id still want fati to start
dude came on, won a penalty and put himself in a great position to score
which koeman will drill into him
since coutinho is out
maybe some form of messi fati pedri griezmann dembele
yeah but I'd pedri offers a lot on the dribble
every game
he's good enough at CAM or on the left but yeah
wanted to see dembouz and ansu play a game together for once
yeah fosho
on the wings
maybe pedri left dembouz right messi up center and griezzy behind
the thing is messi drifts too much
because defenders follow him
yeah that seems to be a problem especially when we need to score but he was great playmaking wise
and players need to start being more selfish
could've bagged some more assist if we didn't miss that often
yea
fati good
shaktar leading its group like we all predicted lmao

ole is inexperience but hes not less then any PL manager
... might be propping him up a bit too much

I have 15 minute interview with @ufc President @danawhite that will air tonight on @CBSSportsRadio at 8 PM Eastern/5 Pacific.
Dana told The Zach Gelb Show on CBS Sports Radio that he and @TeamKhabib have been talking & he expects Khabib to return & go for 30-0.
WOW! https...
gotta say I am happy for the first time that Khabib didn't hold to his word 🤐
@bitter rover
@native token
figures lol
I think Dana might have possibly been working on the GSP matchup when talking about that "something special"
that'll be a huge match
Yeah definitely
you think he'll fight tony?
honestly I don't think so, but than again who knows
when Dana refers to "something special" the only two matchups I can think of are
GSP or Tony
I see Khabib returning for GSP but not Tony
and I remember Dana mentioning that he had something in store for Khabib before he announced his retirement, it would make more sense that he was working on the GSP fight after the Justin fight than working on a Tony fight
but who knows, I honestly couldn't care who it is I am just glad that he could potentially fight one more time
what would he do if he lost?
Silva wont retire this weekend either, he will fight until he is 70
would he just come back into the circuit? lol
it has to be GSP

and uh who knows
I mean would it be horrible that I would take a Khabib loss just to see him fight for another 5 years? 👀

I would too... but who would even beat him?
I don't see anyone at LW beating him unless its punchers luck
I’m not that into UFC, but how quickly did he beat Gaethje?
submission in round 2
He made gaethje look like a noob
Oh goddamn
Mousasi vs lima, i forgot it
Happened or happening rn
yea im not a big fan of noobs
Khabib makes anyone look like a noob
Yup
You know what would be an amazing fight? Khabib vs Usman
khabib and mcgregor fight as boxers
@static aurora gonna have to disagree heavily there, sorry
i wouldn't put him near any of the top 6 managers, personally
the only signing he's made thats worked out for him is Bruno Fernandes
I'll allow the fact that Rashford and Martial have grown as players under him
but it really is time to cut the losses with him and hire someone new. Poch would be brilliant for united
Klopp, Pep, Rodgers, Nuno, Biesla are all levels above him rn, and even Lampard, Mourinho, Moyes, and Arteta are above him at the moment
lampard is definitely
Lampard is starting to settle in but I wouldn't rate him too highly. His results after spending that much aren't acceptable imo, although he has done well in UCL
Imo
Ziyech needs to start over Havertz. Looks waaaaay more comfortable
He bossed that game
Wilder has lost it idk wtf is up with Sheff this season
Last year Wilder was incredible, im not sure if Sheff have just had a rough start but goodness me they're a totally different team
he'll get acclimated
I mean they also lost Henderson to United...another reason I think Ole needs to go, he dropped the money on Henderson for him to sit on the bench while De Gea is letting in sitters
At least Lampard is playing who he bought
Van De Beek and Henderson benchwarming
@dim ledge how's the team looking now?
got very lucky this week lol
but I'm not really sure who to play
uh
I'd cut allan and sterling and sign son and some fodder, but besides that thats a p decent team
Saiss is great for value
lemme see mine
our strikers are interchangeable so you can leave yours and be fine
citys form is bound to change so keeping sterling isn't even bad, but most people will tell you to try to fit in KDB. Hes been weird this season so i dropped city altogether to go for Son whos been on fire
Trent won't be getting too many clean sheets without Van Dijk but should still get assists, may be worth picking up another LFC player but beesides that i think youre fine
Zouma good pick
how much was he
ive had de bruyne on the bench for a while
also, IDK about son, man
u reckon its time i start him now?
his schedule upcoming is brutal
nah man
son is always reliable
tottenham good or bad
start son
jimenez has been a baller doe
no cap
love jimenez
who u captaining?
what a great day to wake up with this 🍵
is that great news for u?
Hope Teddy is alright, that was a nasty shot he took tonight
I mean I know they let him come back in the game but still
GSP coach and MMA coach Firas Zahabi, talks about what happened in the khabib vs Justin Gaethje.

Rays aren’t picking up CFM’s option? @dim kettle @simple seal

Yes. Along with Zunino. Kinda the reality with FAs this year with the Covid crap.
Not just the Rays.
We regularly have one of the lowest payrolls and still let quality players walk
Fuck you Stu
I mean, you know the Rays depth and farm system always has unlimited magical bullshit to work with.
And I think Brendan McKay could replace Morton if things go right.
Or Josh Fleming.
I stopped questioning the Rays moves after the 2018 season.

True
idk what the hell is going on with him and that cursed fight with Yair
it's like that cutelaba and ankalaev fight lol

@native token mousasi shut down Lima easily
A fight between whittaker and mousasi would be so good
bruh
jets playing the chiefs this week
lmfaoooooo
this gonna be like whitebeard vs don krieg or some shit
yeah it's brutal out here
Yeah, Although I picked a team that was almost as bad as the Jets until Brady came. lol
Dude, the last time I saw the Bucs even make the playoffs. I was finishing 3rd grade.

lmao yeah it's been a min
its been a HOT min
wow that is a name i have not heard in a long time
yeah same not until recently when he commented on cam
The name Jamarcus Russell still haunts me to this day. From 9-3 to losing to Jabba the Hutt to be knocked out of the playoffs
lol jamarcus smh
lmao

ziyech is so good
ahem
@proud coyote i was right about ziyech :)
easily the best signing you guys made
not even a question
I think Thiago Silva and Mendy have been their best signings
Michigan doing this thing we call Underachieving right now.
michigan?
Wolverines losing to an unranked team in Michigan State.
Oh God, The Wolverines are 1-5 against Michigan ST and Ohio ST since Jim Harbaugh became HC. God, that's pathetic.
lmao Michigan

indeed

@dim ledge I wish we had mendy earlier
and thiago
fuck me man
ziyech is huge but his contributions mean zilch if we can't win stupid games due to kepa
this team is near all cylinders now, just need Pulisic to stop injuring himself
are we just ignoring that the nets coaching staff is the OG elite 7 secs or less suns?
and nash is the COACH and d'antoni an ASSISTANT COACH behind him?
this is crazy lmao
tbh, I think D'antoni as an assistant can work
his style and offense just doesn't translate in the playoffs when he's at the helm
but he can still develop these players well
and players seem to like him enough
i wonder how that style will translate with kd/kyrie as the premier stars
and caris/spencer right there as well
but they're probably looking to trade Caris
prob the best roster in the NBA
top to bottom, yeh I agree
their problem is injury and chemistry lol
Caris Lavert, Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, Deandre Jordan as your supporting cast
with KD as the leader
and Kyrie as the number 2 (which suits him more)
if they stay relatively healthy, and there aren't any locker room blowouts, this team is definitely making it out of the east
I think they can win between 55-60 games honestly
maybe more
basketball rosters have to be looked at considering diminishing values, 3 greag offense bad defense guys that need the ball in their hands would be a disaster even if all 3 are net positives in a vacuum
i like the nets but i got some doubts in their roster and health
kirye is good at scoring, but other than his 3 lebron seasons where lebron was the main playmaker and ran the offense his skill doesnt translte to grest offense often
amd durant is pretty similar. a guy who can take his own shot and score well and raise a team ceiling
but needs a westbrook or curry to carry the offense
who is gonna bw the brain running that offense? levert?
okc had top 3 offenses with westbrook and durant
kirye scores a lot but his offenses didnt witjout lebron
durant scores a lor but his teams didnt
without westrook or curry on the floor
example, 201r playoffs
he is a ceiling raiser
if they can turn over either levert or dwinwiddie for a PG who can control the floor for kyrie/KD
they will be fine
they need to make that trade first
until then i thinl they will be relative underperformers offensively
but solely by talent alone, they will be in the top flux of the east
boston will give them the most trouble
and offense is their biggest roster strenght
they have 2 of the greatest offensive minds on their roster
of this century
they will figure something out
hopefully amare can help allen
that dude needs so much polishing
i remain doubtful. i have not seen kirye lead a really good offense yet
even boston made confer3nce finals run without him
but lost with him earlier next year
yea because tatum turned into a star
yeah, and the year after star tatum they were kicked around by milwaukee
with kirie there
they did worse after adding kirye
compared to 2018
he didnt help that team offensively because of the situation that team was led into
and before lebron, kyrie never had another even top 30-50 player with him
tatum great without kirye did a lot better than regressing tatum with kirye
and before lebron, kyrie never had another even top 30-50 player with him
@honest umbra lebron is a top 3 offensive olayer ever
if you need that to look grrat you are not exactly special
you're proving my point though lol
except for those years with lebron
and the emergence of a young tatum
hes never had a player of that caliber aside him
hes problematic and thinks hes the shit but he is hugely offensively gifted
and will be fine with KD as the first option
i just hope nash finds a gem PG somewhere so kyrie can play off the ball at times as well though
but that is my point, looking good alongside lebron is easy
and the one time he had succes was with tatum leading the team and him im the bench injured
i have not seen kirye translate his individual talent into great team offense
i think his celtic years were a learning curve for him
he needed to experience that to humble himself
first game this year he dropped 51 and lost lol
until that happens you cannot take it for granted
that is the thing, great scorer guard who are not great play makers by virtue of genius passing like nash/cp3 or scoring gravity like curry amd lillard
domt translate their ability to score 50
into top tier offenses
kyrie can absolutely create his own shot and lead offenses though
AI was praised for it
kyrie is criticized for it
it just doesnt translate to as much winning in modern NBA
iverson succes was with elite defenses that he dragged to average offensively
i just hope nash finds a gem PG somewhere so kyrie can play off the ball at times as well though
@honest umbra you think the nets grab rondo?
iverson was never part of a truly great offense
and neither has kirye minus lebron
you are giving rondo the smarts of nash + d'antoni and the stars of kyrie/KD?
yeah, yeesh
dont know if they can afford him though
rondo in nets would be good
could also see them getting Kris Dunn
too much salary tied to 1-2 positions
they need to find 3 and d players
temple shouldnt be playing in 2020
who would trade a good wing or big for dinwiddle/levert?
nba playoffs proved 3 and d players are everything
they don't even really need a return on dinwiddie
and with d'antoni there
just get the salary off the books
any team needimg second rate semi cheap playmakers?
he's a good player
hell i would LOVE him on the lakers
that would give a good wing dor him
the thing is
at the end of the day
there arent many wing players
i can think of
nuggets need to tie up jerami grant though
if they let him go
that is bad decison making
i also disagree with everyone saying 'trade MPJ for a ready now player'
oh yea thats true lol
what he did against the lakers that series
made me respect grant
if Rondo leaves, I'd rather he goes to the nets
...
I just don't see it
I swear if he goes to the Clippers
worse shooter too
what is the actual obsession with aaron gordon?
dunks
"HE HAS POTENTIAL!!"
he's budget blake griffon
He's been the exact same player for 5 years
every year
he'll have some many nice performances for the magic
they'll barely make the playoffs
vucevic and gordon will do nothing
how much money does gordom make?
and then its done
is not he a good defender?
like, 18 mil
or is that being carried bi isaac
i wouldnt call him a great defender
hes aight
good defender, mediocre shooter, doesnt create own shot
He's not a max player that's for sure
the thing is
seems a unneficient use of 18 millions?
giannis is a super elite defender
actually giannis is an elite defender
thats not fair
but the other two parts are true
Giannis can create his own shot at the rim, just can't shoot lol
the diference between a good defender and what giannis is
the difference is giannis can make it to the basket in 2 steps
or worse than that
giannis has super star impact in defense
he takes away as many points of the other team
Steph is one of the most efficient offensive players ever
and the second best shooter is the other dude on his team
as most offensice stars add
if only he was a better defender
Steph is already the 2nd greatest PG of all time
klay is a overated defender (hides)
being a better defender can only be a good thing lol
yeh he doesn't need to be
but it'd be a plus
steph has never made warriors defense bettwr when he sits
he is oretty neutral on D
and obviously a monster in 0
kevin love defending curry
in game 7
is one of my fav moments ever
sorry thats random
yeah
but it just pops up in my head
SPEAKING OF, GET KEVIN LOVE OUT OF CLEVELAND
he deserves MORE
unpopular opinion, warriors should trade klay while his value is still intact
Get everyone out of cleveland
overglorified 3 amd average D olayer
oh man
nahhh
i said it
hey rff
I actually think Klay is drastically underrated still lol
he made sense as a third/fourth optiom with his shooting
He's a top 3 shooter of all time
but as a second option now than iggy and durant are not there
warriors would be better off with a on ball player
IGGY?
dude, Klay is the 2nd best SG in the league behind Harden
dudeeeeeee
he is not
damn, someone doesn't like Klay Thompson
lol i think you're putting too much stock in his ability to pop off and not enough in what he does in daily every day games
he defends the best guard/wing players off the other teams every game
so many guard give you most of his (overstated) defense and 9)% of his shooting for much less money
as a fourth best player
he guarded Lebron for a lot of their series against Cleveland
behind curry, durant and drah
when Iggy was sitting, he was on Lebron
he isna overwualified 3 and wing
and perfect for thag role
in current warriors than have only curry
he is less useful
so if you took out klay rn
as they would need more of him
they would be worse
who is gonna guard the other teams best players?
so what value would you want back
for klay?
round picks? another star player?
another star player who does what, play 3 and d?
like klay does?
but not successfully in a system like klays proven?
someone who can create with the ball when curry is offball besides green
and can shoot 3's at 36% and defend within 90-100% of klay
warriors as currently constructed
need playmaking and scoring on ball
more than a bit extra spacing amd defense
amd klay defense is overated anyway
you keep saying its overrated
the warriors barely get worse in defense when klay sits
but how is it overrated
thats because he would guard their best players and they would be switched with iggy
idk if you know rff
they dont have iggy anymore
give covington and his help D any day over klay 1 vs 1 D
klay is fine in D
but hes an elite 2 defender
he is not a star defensive guard
advanced stats show klay as pretty average in defense
id love to see these advanced stats
yea because gsw defense overall as a team was brilliant
they have lost a huge core of that defense
curry is average, wiggins defend? LULZ dray is the only one left
A deeper look at the numbers, however, supports the notion that he is one of the league’s best one-on-one defenders.
yea sure
routinely show better correlatiom with team defense succes
klay good 1 vs 1 D
doesnt move the needle much
1 on 1 defense can be ill important if ur not defending lebron or kawhi
but the problem is
he IS defending them
iggy won finals MVP for holding lebron to a measly 28 points
you aint ever gonna stop superstars
iggy >> klay as defender
you gotta restrict them as much as you can
yea but again, iggy was one of the best wing defenders of this century
you aint ever gonna stop superstars
@honest umbra tvat is exactly why 1 vs 1 defense is not THAT important
and why a guy whose best strenght is 1vs 1 defense
is a minor help
klay= minor positivenin defense
a minor positive and grear spot up shooting is good
This season, Thompson, who regularly guards the opponent’s top scorer, has held Washington’s Bradley Beal to 40 percent shooting, Portland’s Damian Lillard to 33.3 percent and Houston’s James Harden to 25 percent.
klay IS a good player
you dont think thats impressive?
so if hes amazing in his role and it works
but that team is not thwrw
why are they trading him
anymore
for someone who might not be amazing in his role
cuase thwy are not the durant warriors
he played a minor role to perfection for them
but a spot up shooter with above average defense
canmot be your second best offensive player
no he is the BEST shot up shooter with above average defense
if you want to win rings
bro rff
BEST spot upnshooter
why are u ignoring 2015
is still spot up shooting
who was the 2nd best offensive player?
there is a linited amount of times you can shoot from spotting up
and a limited amount og points a 40% (although he shoots lower now) adds over a 37% one in 8 attempts per game
that is less than 1 point added
barely good enough for an allstar
not a co star im a championship tean
matching up against lebron and davis
oh no
im a lakers fan
lakers would smack them
they cant defend anthony davis LMFAO
dude took 5 dribbles and made 60
@honest umbra he hits 60 once per year and goes 1-15 another 7 times
that sounds like you're adding a bit of bias in there
he most certainly does not go 1-15 7 times
that is why his actual percentages add up to good 3 point shooter
forgwt eye test
no true superstar in the NBA would respect klay
all shooters are streaky lol
streakyness means
most 3 point shooters with the exception of curry is the GOAT shooter
that you may score 40 one day
but go 3 -14 another
you cannot just give him credit for his nuclear nights scoring 60
but ignore the times
he barely hits anyyhingh
that is why percentages are used
you've ignored a lot of my points though
so what do you mean?
you've legit havent answered any of the questions I asked about 2015
ok, i will slow down and tane more time to answer
since this convo has been going too fast for my typing
2015 was pretty good
but klay most recent seasons habe not been at that level
ive got food arriving
@honest umbra ok, enjoy it fate
we will talk again soon
i am gonna go ahead and put more calmly my thoughrs on klay
basketball is a gane of diminishing impact where some player may make a bad team good but barely improve a good team
and on the other hand a player may barely improve improve a bad team but improve a good team more
is somethingh that has been talked about in plenty in debates about portabilty, ceiling raising vs floor raising
is a super specialist that makes a good team a better or a flawed player that carries bad teams to 8th seeds better?
klay usually benefits from this
train of thought since he is a 3 and D player
he impacts the game without needing the ball
and you can plug him in any team and likely improve it, since he is good at doing thinghs that dont take the ball away from other players
so far, so good
at the same time this also means that he plays a minor role
he takes a bunch of open 3's that a all time outlier team like durant/curry warriors generated nonstop
a team that is in the 99.9% percentile of talent in history
and which most 3 and D player dont get
before that he was a solid 3rd option offensively in 2013-2016
where curry olayed all time great offense
and iguodala and klay were distant 2nd and 3 respectively
dray and his passing being a close fourth (imo)
after durant he became a super great spot up shooter benefiting from the best team ever to be a spot up shooter in
he is the kind of guy that can replace the 3 and D role player in 27-29 teams
and make it a bit better in both defense and offense
that makes him a near all star/all star at his best
a guy who makes your offense 1 point betyer and maybe you defense 1 point better
the issue is, actual (imo) stars like even draymond or gobert (who are also flawed) have a bigger inpact than that
they may be a 0 or small bust on offense but will make your defense 3-4 points better
a easily bigger impact than klay for similar money
and a actusl superstsr like curry actually makes your offense 6-7 points better but that is not the point
is he worth superstsr salary to make your team 1.5- 2 ish points better to average?
in a team that has curry, dray amd durant in under market value deals yes, easily
in a team with curry as only playmaker offensively and mainly defensive or spot up pmayers?
no if your goal is taking on lebron and davis
which they should try to do
as curry is not getting any younger and those players need to be used for rings before chanpionship windows close
TLDR
brogdon would make them better compared to klay next season
curry needs a on ball partner more than a super spot up shooter
is brogdon > klay? no, but he would be for the 2021 warriors roster
for less money
ok, that was long

i made this in 5 minutes lol, just off the top of my head
i actually could go deeper lmao
dam dont do clay like that
klay is good
all star at his best
not worth a superstar pay
and comes from a big injury in the wrong side of 30
basically
So NFL games today: NE@BUF, TEN@BEN, LV@CLE, IND@DET, PIT@BAL, MIN@GB, NYJ@KC
, LAR@MIA, NO@CHI, LAC@DEN, SF@SEA, DAL@PHI for SNF, and TB@NYG for MNF. Who y’all got?
ima do this really fast
Give me BUF, TEN, CLE, IND, PIT, GB, KC, LAR, NO, DEN, SEA, PHI, and TB
BUF, TEN, LV, IND, PIT, GB, KC, LAR, NO, LAC, SEA, PHI, TB
so we only disagree on LV/CLE and DEN/LAC
all im saying bok is
herbert different
Oh dude I know, he’s my front runner for OROY
But LAC just knows how to lose games they should win
And Denver’s defense is surprisingly good
My head is saying to pick LAC, but my heart won’t let me
funny enough the two games that took me longer than a sec to decide
were the ones i picked differently from u
I have the same as fate, but I think Baltimore is gonna end Pittsburgh's win streak
Vegas really has been playing well lately, but I can’t help but feel like Garrett and that Browns D is gonna feast today

hopefully it's not 100-0
See shit like that is why the NFL should allow a mercy rule
MERCY RULE!!!!
but the mere fact
that the jets could win
just the thought
thats worth tuning in
I would have a better chance against Mike Tyson in his prime, than the jets do against the chiefs today
i hope im not alone in thinking KC offense hasnt exactly been blowing ppl out this season
It isn’t, but it also hasn’t needed to because their D has been playing well for the most part
In my lifetime, this jets team is probably top 3 worst teams I've seen
