yea everyone called raps game 6 at game 4 when they started to gain momentum lol
from 0-2 to 4-2
I called it going to 7 games but fuck Iβm happy
all finals eh
mhm
ill probably just watch the nba finals
out of all that
and any ufc/boxing that is on
I am watching the stanley cup because I am a tad invested into the bruins after they beat us in 7 π
I will obviously be watching raptor games, no doubt about that
can't miss ufc either good event this saturday
oh also the champions league finals
have to watch that
great week
Yeah ufc stockholm
Ive been thinking about attending it but I think ill just watch it from
I dont have any friends in sthlm who are into ufc, so if i went id go alone lol
Maybe ill drop the weigh ins though
I went to the holloway ortega fight
when it was in Toronto
fun experience
especially the show Holloway put on
Pity his win streak ended but that's the nature of the best sometimes
Yeah that must been awesome
With holloway being the underdog and all that tenth island stuff
Dustin was just too big for holloway
I still gave holloway 2 rounds
he did a great job later in the fight
but dustin shut down holloway's momentum by grappling
but il be honest I don't give dustin a chance against Khabib unless he sparks him
I dont think Max made the proper arrangement for 155 either, if he would bulked up it would be harder to make 145
Was sad seeing Max pull a Gaethje and just take hit after hit, but hot damn that man might have the strongest chin in pro combat sports
Dustin is good and all but the only fight the fans really want is tony vs khabib, and its the only one that makes sense
Yeah, the more hits you take the weaker it gets though...
I mean Max has been taking hits like that
since the beginning of his career
when he pulled out against frankie edgar because it looked like he was going to pass out during a fox interview, I assumed the CTE had finally caught up to him
Yeah, or that on top of the Parkinson's he'll probably develop just like Ali did after he retired
π
Yeah, against Ortega tho
I think max got pretty hard sparrings
I admire fighters who can make a camp, perform and win without hard sparring, like Tony and a few others
@celest zephyr whats your opinion on Elias?
it is one of the most fucking ridiculous things the UFC has done
to cut a fighter that was 8-3
but keep artem lobov
who was like 13-15
it just proves something about the UFC that we have known for years
dont talk about π like that
he is fighting in bare knuckle now
he is their poster boy
smh he is some hot trash
the goat meme was funny at first
but it isn't anymore
well there was a huge article in the mma community today
Yoel romero won like a $28 million dollar from a lawsuit
against the company that gave him the tainted supplements which lead to this 6 month usada ban
I think he will expect a fat payday for his next fight after that
lmao wtf
he has to be the second richest ufc athlete now
or third maybe
behind conor and ronda
thats jackpot money for ufc stars
1st
I don't count Conor or Ronda ufc athletes anymore
maybe conor
but Ronda is long retired
yea
thats funny out of all people who are trying to build their careers and get money fights that yoel just ends up winning way more than they could imagine from a lawsuit
good on him tho
I am happy for him
but this also means that he wasn't lying about tainted supplements
it makes me scratch my head
thats way more money than he could have imagined making for the rest of his career
waaaayyyyy more
so i bet he is dancing right now
i wonder if this will change his fight scheduling or the way he picks fights now
it would be funny if he put he was retiring on twitter or somewhere out there
I mean
it wouldn't be such a bad thing
the dude is supposedly 40
which I don't believe one bit
and I mean he could try to fight for another title shot but as long as Robert is champ, I don't think he can climb over that mountain even though arguably in my opinion
Yoel won the 2nd fight
but it was by a split of a hair
isnt robert fighting izzy anasayna next? i cant spell his name lol
Israel Adesanya, and yes he is
that guy is a G
also i wonder how much the belt really meant to yoel. some fighters you could give all the moeny in the world but they still want to fight for the belt, others they just want it for an opportunity to make more cash
hope he wins, he fights so fluidly
and yeah
you are right
competitor's mentality
Personally think Yoel is overrated, his cardio is terrible
Dude looks like a HW fighting in MW
ufc 236
pretty sure its going to be in Australia i think they announced that. makes sense anyways
was the gastelum fight right
close but i think its ufc 243
i just looked up and 242 is dubahi and 243 is sydney australia
It is like practically confirmed
it would make sense for him to headline as well, it is a win win situtation
how many times have they tried to make khabib vs tony
3? or 2
thats one of the few noteworthy fights left for khabib in that division but how many more times are they going to risk the letdown to ticket buyers
cowboy is climbing that ladder right now. whoever wins that fight is probably going to be next in line or they may try to have them fight gaethje #1 contender
UFC 238 is next week, Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes for the vacant Bantamweight belt, co is Shevchenko defending the Flyweight belt against Jessica Eye
yea ferguson vs cowboy is on that card i think
It is
gaethje has been coming off alot of wins in that division lately so you cant just ignore him. idk what they are going to do
That's gonna be a good fight
Marlon "One Punch Man" Moraes
Then 239, Jones against Thiago Santos for the LHW and Nunes against Holly Holms for the Bantamweight belt
Then you got 240 with the only fight announced is Holloway defending the Featherweight belt against Frankie Edgar
plus all the fight nights in between
Then 241 in what will probably be DC's last fight defending the belt in a rematch against Stipe
Looking like 243 will likely be when we get Whitaker vs Adesanya, but that's not till October so
yea. brock said he isnt coming back to fight but that could also be to hype up his return. but regardless still more fights out there to make
If DC is gonna have any fight after Stipe (which I doubt) it has to be against Bones
at HW?
Yeah
its funny that jones popped on both their fights but now they are talking about doing 3
jones said he wouldnt consider the 3rd bc DC has too much weight advantage
but it wouldnt be the first time a fighter said something and went back on it
too much weight advantage
Nigga...dude got the height and reach advantage by a mile and has whooped him silly the last 2 fights
lol ik
@rapid umbra they made the fight successfully 4-5 times
its the most cursed matchup in the history of mma
it needs to happen but you also have to think of it from the business point of view and if Dana wants to risk it being canceled again
however if tony keeps winning and khabib is still the champ then it will probably have to happen anyways
its literally impossible to avoid now
it was impossible last year as well
as long as he does not lose to Cowboy
the thing about Cowboy is
Khabib was scheduled to fight Cowboy like 3 times early in his UFC career
but those fights fell through because it was during that period of his career where he almost died from weight cutting
Hopefully these fights come to fruition
huh
Tony is fighting Cowboy next
i dont remember him suppose to fighting cowboy
yea gaethje is apart of this as well
so maybe the winner of tony vs cowboy fights gaethje?
khabib isnt defending for a few more months
but tony and cowboy are fighting next week
it was
so they would have plenty of time to get another fight in
around 2014
2014-2015
the khabib vs cowboy fight
was scheduled like 3 times
it was during that 2 year layoff Khabib had
when he almost died
from weight cutting, it was a massive reason as to why his title shot was so delayed
he would have probably gotten the belt in 2015 if he didn't have to leave for 2 years
i remember khabib almost dieing from weight cut but that was during tony fight i thought
no it happened after the RDA fight
ironically
he smashed RDA into pieces
then RDA went on to win the belt
2 year layoff after the RDA fight
he almost died after the 2nd cowboy fight cancellation and Tony cancelled the fight the first time I believe, I might be wrong
yea tony tripped over some wires in doors while wearing sunglasses and got injured
lol no that was the recent cancellation
which btw is a horrible way to go out π
yea he was being memed all over youtube mma channels
there is a really funny video of Khabib's entourage watching every step of his and picking up rocks that are on his pathway
to make sure he doesn't trip
lol i wish i could watch it
I might try to find it when I have the time
π
How do you feel about Deontay Wilder having a rematch with Luis Ortiz?
it just got confirmed
they were talking about it earlier. tyson fury had an interview where he said wilder has a 3 fight deal with espn now and one of those fights is a rematch with ortiz
the other 2 opponents werent fury or joshua so i guess we wont be seeing those fights for a minute
i think ortiz is one of wilder's more credible opponents so seeing them again is better than watching him fight another random guy
I read up some more on yoels payday and winning in court
Apparently he probably wont see any of that money, the company will just close down and disappear, happens a lot of times it seems like. No way a company like that would have 27 million usd
Damn
It could be possible
He gets at least a mil of 2 before the company files for Bankruptcy
And even if they had the money, it would be hidden in some off shore banks, and yoel wouldnt get it
Not a huge fan of yoel, but im all up for him and other fighters to get justice and more money
yeah, hope all goes well
game 1 tomorrow
I am contemplating going to Jurassic Park to watch the game
With my buddies because no way in hell we are paying $2000 for some horrible seats
yeah
that is interesting
I heard bronny james is good
but is wade's kid good?
yeah
i think he's better than bronny
hes gonna be a senior tho
still a nice match up
Have you not seen Zaire Wade's highlights before? Kid looks like a man amongst boys out there
I rarely pay attention to the high school scene unless it is a big deal
tonight will be a quite stressful
uh oh we are fucked
I remember that, what a ridiculous event
bruh paul pierce
π
lets get it
Klay is a free agent after this season right?
Yup
yeah and he lost his option to sign a max contract with the warriors
because he got snubbed off of the all nba teams
Big RIP
Would love to see my Magic make a play for him but I'm pretty sure they're cap strapped π
Also pretty sure he isn't interested in leaving Cali
have they said anything about Durant coming back for the finals?
I imagine he will but whatever he is dealing with has to be worse than a simple calf strain imo
FVV was guarding curry better than i thought in the first half
he's good at playing fast pace and aggressive
which is what you have to do against someone like curry
and even then he is still making shots most of the time
he will probably be back for game 3
demarcus coming back was nothing but a con for thw warriors
we are doing amazing considering this is the quarter that they always come back from
good lord siakam
I don't want to jynx anyone but man do I hope this game series goes a particular way
yea its nice to see fresh faces from time to time
these teams have been trying to D up Kawhi throughout the whole playoffs
everytime he gets the ball you see them try to swarm him
he got fouled like 5 times by 3 players at once in the 2nd quarter when he was trying to drive it in
and he's injured right now i think
but when you're top 5 player you have a big bullseye on your back obviously
Hope no one ever questions his heart again, dude is carrying that team
Personally I'd love to see him stay in the east but if he wants to go to the Clippers as expected it's his career
injured or hurt call it what you want
he's been like that for awhile and still showing up
That's my point. He's always showing up. I just don't like clowns using that as an excuse when he plays bad
Like Steph for example, he played bad during the initial parts of the Rockets series
No excuses. Broken fuck you finger? Nope. Not an excuse
Raptors D looking good after 3, need to finish strong
i didnt start watching the playoffs until right before the conference finals this time lol
raptors are always in this as long as they dont let rebounds get away from them
one of the main reasons their series with the sixers went to game 7 was because their rebounding was low for some of those games
just from watching it
Up 12 with a little less than 5 minutes left, looking good for Toronto
Yeah only a minute left and the Warriors are down by 7, GG Raptors
Solid win, gotta keep on the pressure and take Game 2
they are going to make adjustments
they just need to prepare for those adjustments
Boi was Boogey Cousin a waste of space
Raps 7
I mean I knew the moment that he was cleared for the game that he wouldn't do anything
no one was giving the raps a chance going into this lol I'm pulling for the underdog
he makes the warriors a far worse team and it is a known fact
my city is going to destroy that dynasty !!!
Kawhi for a resign π
Raptors in 6ix
drake was trolling the warriors tonight
Fucking wearing a signed Del Curry jersey, GG
Im hoping they manage to win the finals tbh
π
Idk about the blues
Time for UFC, are u watching @celest zephyr
I am only going to watch the main event and maybe Jimi Munawa's fight because I am not invested in the other fighters
@bitter rover Let me know if I miss any gems, I will rewatch those fights
Liverpool is going to win, it isn't even a competition
Go Blues.
@bitter rover looks like the Jon Jones rematch did a number on gus
Mentally
I thought smith would have been the one to suffer from his previous fight
But guess he overcame it
Yeah
No more events in sweden haha
I think gus went downhill since the rumble fight
Average performance vs jan
Good performance vs teixera but but teixera was like blind in the first or second round so
gus was coughing a lot i wonder if he was sick
hats off to anthony
i want to see him fight rockhold
i like his attitude and his background. just a random guy working some random job and decided he wanted to pursue something bigger
Yeah exactly
at the end of the day jones is still in LHW tho so these guys have a tough road
If gus didnt go for that takedown he would probably have won since smith had a broken hand...
Yup
Did you see rakic fight?
yea lol
Finished jimi better than thiago
legend has it jimi body is still laying on the canvas
they have the post fight interview on youtube right now
Rakic, johnny walker, dominik, that polish guy, theres plenty of new blood jn lwh
johnny walker looking dangerous
he was saying he is going to take out jones
i think he has the potential
Not jan, micael something who finished last of two of his fights
Yeah, maybe with explosivness
they are giving him a lot of lower ranked fights though. i want to see him fight someone in top 15 soon
i think he is young though so maybe he is trying to peak at the right time
But i think john will be carefull and pick a tired walker down
Yeah i did
he is a bit unorthodox too he has a little bit of everything
idk how his ground game is tho
Seen all his ufc fights actually
i know its not bad
And then saw some of hisnolder fights
Jones is still bigger tho, and that reach
Jones will just be defensive the first two rounds
he's not just some random power house like a rumble johnson or someone. he has technique
i thought walker is bigger
And then wrestlefuck him for a win
johnny walker is 6'6
that is what google says
idk if that is true lol
im pretty sure he is bigger than jones tho
ehh you walker stance looks wider in that photo and jones has shoes on
Jones wearing shoes π
walker is taller but they may be around the same size
just because walker has been knocking people out doesnt mean he has bad ground game
he has submission wins
Only gus has been around jones size, but gus was missing the athleticism compared to jones
Walker vs jones will be interesting
Eye poking, ball kneeing, doing dirty stuff when the referee cant see
He still got a good 2-3 years tho
Yeah
Weird that lwh is less usa dominated compared to the other divisions
A lot of fighter from different countries in the too
Altho the two greats are americans
jones is just in a different league he made easy work of the two fighters fighting tonight and they are both high ranked
Yeah
its kind of hard to watch your fighter fight his way to the title and then see that he has to face jones
Indeed...
Yeah
or just go do something else lol
Gus is co owner of his gym
I dont think retiring will affect him that much economically
that's good he has a family
joshua vs ruiz tonight
Big cock Divock
liverpool won as expected
Happy to see Jurgen finally win a trophy with liverpool
the champions league on top of that
The champions
Origi winning the balon d'or is pretty much confirmed now
π
This was the highlight of that game..
π
Big cock Divock
security was holding her really tight π
π
Lads it's Tottenham
btw congrats on the UCL win mate π, liverpool were the best side this season
tho the final wasnt the best, they still deserved it
π
Cheers, gutted to have lost the PL by a point but happy for the lads
This game was all Liverpool's defense/Alisson
Boston looks to be crucifying the blues
Yeah poor Binnington
As a Rangers fan I hate Boston but goddamn that top line is something
@rapid umbra @bitter rover you guys going to check out the AJ fight?
Never seen Ruiz fight before but damn he is pretty fast for a fat dude in this 1st round
the streaker tho π
OIMMG
R
YR
RYUIZ
RYUZ
RUIZ
KNOICKED DOWN
AJ
OMG
OMW
ATH
THTE FYIUCK
bro AJ has been stumbling for the remainder of this round, this guy is hurt
what
the fuck
HE KNOCKED DOWN AJ AGAIN
OMG
OMG
god Wilder would kill AJ
3RD TIME OMG
4th time
]
AJ LOST
AJ LOST
OKMG
a
asd;ljl;awjlk;
BRO AJ LOST
OMG
WHAT THE FUCK
ok vyrez im need you to calm down just a little
@mild hamlet sorry, this is fucking nuts
this has to be the biggest upset in boxing heavyweight history in like 25 years
lol the stream i was watching froze when joshua got knocked down for the 4th time
in rd 7 but it looked over
that's crazy
crazy is an understatement
that whole fight was strange to me
AJ literally did the worst strategy for fighting someone like ruiz: rarely jab, fight in the clinch, let him walk you down with little footwork
the internet is going to explode with this
lol
Ruiz caught me off guard right away but then again I have never watched him fight before
the way he countered AJ in the 1st round, it was so fast
they are interviewing them right now ill have to check it out later
2nd round, I would give it to AJ simply because he kept him at bay
AJ apparently was getting help from psychologists on his way to america
3rd round, AJ clipped him and then Ruiz got up as if a demon possessed him
and flurried Joshua into the ground
joshua almost fell out of the ring when he was knocked down the 2nd time
ref had to grab him
i saw all the fight except the part where the ref called it
im pretty sure
rd 7 i think
yea man idk what AJ was doing that fight. it was very odd
then the ref asked him if he wanted to continue fighting
and he didnt reply
so he called it off
the way he was fighting and his behavior in between
I mean his 1st round performance was pretty normal for AJ but something happened in the 2nd round
GOOD FOR RUIZ THO
and god after AJ got knocked down the 2nd time
i think they said he is the first mexican heavyweight champ
he looked like he was barely standing for most of the reminder of the fight
I believe so
although I am almost certain
that there is a rematch clause
in the fight contract
and that AJ will trigger it
yea later this year
but tbh throughout the whole fight I was only thinking one thing
he wouldn't survive against Wilder
I am sorry but I think I could bet my house on Wilder beating AJ now
lol yea this is definitely going to change things with the negotiations between them
wilder vs fury 2 is going to be wilders next fight after ortiz they said
I hope so
Fury dodged the rematch for some reason
guess he wanted to clear an opponent before getting back into the ring with wilder
especially after that brutal knockdown in the 12th
regardless Fury and Wilder are two horrible matchups for AJ now, Wilder would obliterate AJ's chin
and Fury does what AJ does but 30x better
cya man
π
The guy who got gifted a BS draw so he could stay champion despite getting his ass whooped for most of his fight against Tyson Fury has no right to say someone isn't a "true champion"
well I mean you could also argue
that the 10 sec count for 12th round knockdown was also bs
but yeah he def lost that fight on the card
not sure how it was a draw
i heard some people say they are going push wilder's current fights back and make him fight ruiz next for unification
he has officially signed for a rematch against luiz ortiz
it was a part of the deal with his espn
that required him to fight luis ortiz in one of his 3 fights
and guess he decided to do it next
but this changes now that we have someone with those belts that can't really run from a fight against Wilder, but you can't forget that AJ will 100% push for the rematch
yea but they brought up the point that it would benefit ortiz and tyson because if wilder gets all the belts then they have more to win from him
that would be crazy ruiz vs wilder
two big swingers
ruiz hits harder than wilder based on the punch machine
tbh I see ruiz going out
Wilder wouldn't ever let ruiz get into his rhythm like Aj did
yea idk how any of this is going to work since ruiz has a rematch clause with AJ anyways
but everything will unfold in time
the best ones are people comparing ruiz to gabriel iglesias
btw regarding the gus retirement, I think it was fitting tbh
Man do I want GI to take better care of himself, dude is morbidly obese and no one cares enough to push him to lose it
ruiz just inspired him not to lose weight π°
but he did lose 100 pounds through some diet, iirc
or it might have been someone else
remember hearing it in an interview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZRyklzGMok this man will do everything in his power to prevent wilder and aj ever entering into the same ring
EDDIE HEARN REACTS TO ANTHONY JOSHUA'S SHOCKING STOPPAGE LOSS TO ANDY RUIZ JR / TALKS WILDER-FURY II INTERVIEW BY UMAR AHMED @ MADISON SQUARE GARDEN Why no...
its probably a bit hard for him too since half his jokes are based on his fluffiness
lol i just clicked on that video in youtube im about to watch it while taking a bath
lol its funny
eddie looks like he is about to cry
I hate eddie, he has to be one of the worst promoters in boxing atm
and the worst promoters tend to be the most successful
eddie has to be behind AJ dodging wilder and fury for the last 5 years
this was an interesting change of events in the heavyweight division
there was a big stalemate between the '3 kings'
but now unification should happen a lot sooner
Ruiz will get his biggest payday for fighting wilder
AJ lost a lot of leveraging power with wilder now
thats one less thing getting in the way of a big fight. now you have fury, wilder and ruiz as the champions and fury vs wilder have fought before. ruiz and everyone else are going to be looking to unify the belts and want a payday so you know ruiz is down to fight
there should be more action amongst the belt holders now in the division
I still have wilder on top of the triangle
regardless of that fury fight
I think a rematch would go differently with wilder being far more aggressive by the get go
i think fury won their fight but i think fury vs wilder 2 is going to be harder for fury and may be leaning more towards wilder in that fight
no I wont even argue with you
fury 100%
won that fight
like no questions asked
there is no arguement
fury won that fight
that was a robbery
i think wilder may win the rematch tho
but you could argue that when fury got knocked down in the 12th
like he said "they have to be perfect for 12 rounds. i only have to be perfect for 2 seconds"
going the distance against wilder is hard and doing it twice is even harder but if anyone can do it, it's fury
yeah.
well I guess we will see
eddie hearn basically 100% confirmed
a rematch between ruiz and aj
in November or December this year
yea if you go back and stop watch every 10 count that ever happened you would find a lot werent perfectly on count. even way more off than what some are saying about the fury fight
Wilder is fighting Luis ortiz later this year, and fury is fighting tom schwarz
who I have never heard of
but he has a 24-0 record
and good knockout power
if all goes well, fury and wilder win their fights.
we see wilder vs fury 2 early in 2020
yea im always off and on when it comes to sports. ill go years without watching some then hop right back in lol
and depending on who wins the aj rematch, which I am certain is aj
will fight the winner of the fury and wilder rematch
oh I see
I have kept up with boxing ever since I was young
yeah well the HW has not been this exciting in like 20 years
idc what you say the klitschko brothers domination era
of the HW division was boring as fuck
two brothers managed to hold all the belts for
11 years but didn't do anything interesting
the only contract I hope falls apart
is the rematch
between aj and ruiz
it could push for either fury or wilder fighting AJ
before their rematch
and AJ most likely is in a state of mind where he wants to prove everyone it was a fluke, so instead of running from the matchups. I think he will finally accept htem
if AJ won tonight then nothing really would have changed and there would still be a stalemate for who knows how long
so this was a good thing to most fans
only time will tell what happens
It happened to AJ too, a good majority thought AJ was the best out of the 'HW triangle'
how disrespectful
he is either drunk
lost a lot of money
or someone hacked his account lol
wtf why would a sports analyst be so disrespectful to an underdog who fought his heart out and won
@rapid umbra just being logical
yea
but in his line of work this is the most controversial event that has happened in awhile so its natural for him to show emotion but i dont know if he is doing it the right way
AJ was almost sent flying out of the ring
By that guy
And when I say that
I mean literally
lol yea he noticed that AJ seemed out of touch tonight too
I mean AJ seemed normal up until the knockdown
a lot of people were commenting on it
When he knocked down Ruiz,
He got cocky and rushed in for the kill
And got hit brutally in the temple
After that you could see his legs giving up on him for the rest of the fight
Yeah lol
Not the best one
Gabriel Iglesias
Is a solid comparison
Yeah I mean at the end AJ quit
He got up after the knock down and easily beat the count
But refused to continue
Thatβs one of the big things people are overlooking
i wonder if smith was betting on wilder all along or if he is just saying it now after what happened
AJ basically voluntarily quit
Not sure,
A lot of people are betting on wilder now though π
Itβs pretty funny tho
He said he was going to break the drake curse
And look what happened, Iβm not a superstitious guy
max holloway actually broke it i think
But itβs stacking up
hopefully drake doesnt fuck up the raptors
I hope so
But I mean he is the most invested into the raptors
So the curse is at a power peak with the raptors ππ
Donβt forget he randomly showed up at the weighins
For that Conor vs Khabib fight with an Irish flag
If I wasnβt on my phone I would find the photo which has a long list of supposed sporting events he has cursed πππ
i remember
Big game 2 tomorrow, KD is out but I am certain they have made massive adjustments
If we can hold on, we go up 2-0 before KD returns
yea if they can go 2-0 and then worst case scenario gsw makes it 2-2 at home with KD then raptors can make it 3-2 back at home then game 6 at gsw potential 3-3
then raptors game 7
The worst case scenario is if GSW make it 1-1 without KD
Then itβs going to be hell
yea worst case scenario gsw wins next 4 games
and kawhi gets in a car crash and is injured
and gasol gets viral gastroinitis
π
and lowry ends up partying too much and becomes hung over
Also I donβt see siacam being able to pull off what he did in game 1 again
Everyone showed up for game 1, that never happens with the raptors. This isnβt something consistently done
Man all I can do is pray
they did a good job at tying down curry
and curry still scored 3's
but not as bad as it could have been
they need to keep playing D like that
He still dropped 34, and when curry goes hot he is unstoppable
In my opinion easily the best PG in the league atm
GSW and Raptors
thank you for the suggestions!!
π
I truely appreciate it
yea they were comparing him to other heavyweights in the past like tyson and lennox and they all had loses and upsets
His chin seems to be much weaker than wilders and furys tho
yea to be fair ruiz hits harder than wilder and therefore may be the hardest hitting hw right now
but joshua has been knocked down by klitchsko and maybe some others as well
Yeah against the russian last fight in first round i think
Btw I am like 99.99% sure that Deontay hits harder
Deontay hit the machine with his left hand even though he is a righty
We donβt know how hard his right hand beside all those chins he has shattered
Also Ruiz is a counter puncher, he usually fights to the distance. If wilder fought AJ, it would just be massive blows coming constantly. Hence why I donβt even give him a chance against Wilder
yeah
man golden state 3rd quarters are tough.. 24-6 how did this even happen..
people take them for granted
Also, FVV pretty clearly fouled Steph there on the loose ball chase and the commentators just ran with the call
I know but their 3rd quarter is so notorious, idk how teams still let them get in that rhythm
and yeah I know but hey
Β―_(γ)_/Β―
These Wichita state shocker players are built differently
Me neither, but he looked uncomfortable as hell
I hope its not a groin
I believe its around the ankle
judging by the way he limped
but man these warriors have been heavily punched in the gut
Thatβs fine, ice that bad boy and tighten your laces and youβre good
a rusty demarcus, a curry which possibly has the flu, klay and kd injured
the warriors would have been blown out if it wasn't for that crazy 3rd quarter
Yeah theyβre getting by on good coaching and teamwork
Idk what steve kerr does in the locker room
during the half
but it works
3 years later and no one is able to stop the warrior 3rd quater run
DMC has been pretty vital this game
yeah playing well all around
He looked slow as hell to start but heβs made a good impact
man
if demarcus was not there
raptors would have gotten the last 9 rebounds
his positioning is superb even after all that time off the court
yeah one of those big men that just sniff out the ball
2 minutes left, I don't see raptors pulling anywhere close now. depending on how they approach the game and if the injuries play in our favor, I see us taking game 3
even though the warriors have not been able to score efficiently this quarter, they have been able to stop the raptors just enough to keep the lead
Watching game 1 I didnβt think the offense for the Raptors was going to be sustainable
Also Warriors have Leonard figured out for the most part
Canβt really get to his spots
they completely threw their game plan out the window, the one they used in game 1. they are giving leonard more space and giving the other players more attention
siacam has been completely shut down 4/15 9 points
Damn, he was pretty much unstoppable in game 1
but yeah I didnβt think itβd be sustainable
demarcus's perimeter defense has been able to keep gasol at bay, and no way gasol is getting past demarcus in the paint
so he has been having a some what awful game as well
leonard and fvv are the only ones with double digits I believe
Rough
no of course not
Lol
Damn
33333
Also Iβm indifferent since Iβm a lifelong Knicks fan but Iβd like to see the raptors pull it out
Yeah, I saw some poll that has literally every state except California rooting for the Raptors
Damnnnnnnnn
fuck
OH SHIT
Early shot but it went in so shrugs
Damn Vyrez youβre behind lol
lol
mans watching that illegal stream
FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK IGGY DAMN IT
Did they have a TO left?
I think it was 2 second differential
that's game
looool look at KD
lurking at the back
I can hear him hiss through my screen
What do you think about KD going to the Knicks Jeff?
Smart, I don't buy it either but a lot of optimistic Knick fans
Itβs nice to be optimistic but itβs also important to be realistic
But all this βItβs locked in, KD is going to the Knicksβ talk from Stephen A, and all those media folks is gonna be prime meme material
You guys have the worst luck in the history of the NBA at this point
especially with what happened during the lottery pick
Nah the Knicks deserve the position theyβre in
Dolan is just bad vibes
I enjoy Stephen A
but only for the comedic half
he is wrong like 80% of the time
Also considering the odds to pick 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th; and 5th, id say Knicks were lucky to get 3rd instead of dropping to 5th
yeah heβs funny and clippable but that just mean when heβs wrong about KD, everyone is gonna meme the hell out of the Knicks
Just like how Knicks got memed on when they didnβt get Zion despite the Suns and Bulls dropping WAY down and Knicks actually beating the odds to pick top 3
Zion is pretty screwed too
The Pelicans werenβt able to create anything around AD
They had Demarcus but they screwed they up too
yeah; but DMC and AD are also a weird fit
Pelicans just never had a good vision for the team
I do like David Griffin as the new GM
I have high hopes for Zionβs future
If anyone can build a winner, itβd be Griffin
I have high hopes for RJ, everyone sleeps on him because of Zion
New Orleans also isnβt a basketball town unfortunately
They shouldβve just brought back the Suoersonics instead of New Orleans
This summer I am only praying for one thing, a Kawahi resign
I honestly am not super high on RJ. He has nice tools but he is incredibly inefficient, struggles going right and finishing with his right. His shooting is suspect as well. And heβs bit of a ball hog
I feel like the Duke system just wasnβt right for RJ, the first few months of the rookie season should either show his true colours or possibly a bust
Depending on where he gets drafted, he is heavily against going to Memphis even declining workouts
But looks like Memphis is going to draft him regardless
All I want for the Knicks this summer is to either shoot for the stars and if they donβt wanna come then absorb contracts via trade in exchange for draft picks and keep on rebuilding
Really? Iβve only heard Morant for Memphis
I like Morant A LOT
I like him too, but the way Memphis is approach RJ has convinced that for some reason they are picking him over Morant
Approaching*
Maybe they see something we donβt
Or maybe they decide to go with Morant
NYC basketball is point guard heaven, and Iβve always wanted the Knicks to have that star point guard and I see that in Morant
He turns the ball over too much but thatβs easily addressed with good coaching
You guys are either getting RJ or Morant. Or your owner & GM do a 360
And pick someone who we didnβt expect
Iβm praying that they donβt trade down unless we get back a great prospect/vet
Itβs a top heavy draft
I can't see Memphis passing up on Morant, not with his ceiling
RJ isn't a bad consolation prize though
And you're probably gonna get both Kyrie and KD so that's cool
He was, heβs a really smart player and a great guy and also super talented
Very very efficient from the field
Great shot blocker, good around the basket, can step out and hit perimeter shots
Great passer
But yeah the KD and Kyrie going to the Knicks has been βset into stoneβ by fans
So when they donβt go
Iβd say it was set into stone by the media then the fans bought in to the hype and here we are
Expect rants all over the sport channels for the remainder
Of the free agency
It will be great π
π
Kyrie going to the lakers seems more realistic each day
He looks less and less happy with the Celtics, misses Lebron
I can see Kyrie going to the Nets and Lakers before considering the Knicks
Where do you think KD is going?
Oh really, that would be a huge punch in the gut for the league
If the superpowers stayed in tact
I am certain Demarcus is leaving tho
But still those 4 are all you need
Klay looked really bummed out when he heard he didnβt have an all nba team selection which for some reason plays a massive part in his contract
But seems like he is staying regardless
Yeah I donβt really see him leaving over something like that
Really depends on their character
Which is why I guess a lot of folks think KD is leaving
Big RIP for KAT missing out on 32 million for not making any All-NBA team
Damn is that how much they lose?
I recently found out that those selections meant so much
Well that was specifically KAT, not sure about Klay or the rest but I wouldn't be shocked if they lost 8 figures
yeah he isn't able to sign a bird exception contract with a high salary
because of it
ay yknow what it was a tough game but we got raptors in 5
hoping that Khabib smashes his face in
and Tony kills Cowboy this weekened, so Dana can stop fucking avoiding the inevitable
cowboy is on a 3 fight win streak: perry, hernandez and laquinta
actually, he may be on a longer win streak those are just the latest 3 fights i remember of his
tony vs cowboy is a very close fight
i can see it go the distance
because when i think about it, how do they finish each other?
cowboy probably has a bit more power than ferguson but ferguson i think is a bit more durable so i dont see either of them really KO'ing the other one but of course it could happen
when you look at the ground game, everyone knows tony is good there but so is cowboy. cowboy has submission victories and i think he may even be a black belt on the ground as well
is it going to be a 3 round or 5 round fight?
The odds are against cerrone tho
3 round
He fought not too long ago in 5 rounds
And it takes a toll dropping weight so soon again
And cerrone is can have some problem with pressure fighters and he starts slowly while tony goes for fireworks in the first round
Tony doesnt have that one punch KO tho
He got mean leg kicks against tony too
But id still favor tony
yea i may be favoring tony too but its close
It isn't exactly as close as you think
Tony has to be one of the most effective all around fighters in LW history
regardless of the situation you put him in
he has tools for every scenario
Taken from JRE #1308 w/Eddie Bravo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PxPOz_SZC8
i think its closer than you think
cowboy is well rounded as well
and a veteran who's had some of his best performances these past few fights
you may not follow him that much. i normally dont but he has been popping up on the highlight reel lately and there isnt much he cant do espicially being in the sport as long as he has been
but with all that being said i think i am still leaning more towards tony if i had to pick
but then again i didnt have cowboy winning any of his last fights except maybe for the one against laquinta and he ended up beating them all
he submitted mike perry. TKO'd hernandez who is a very young prospect and likes to fight at fast paces. and he pulled off a UD against laquinta i believe
he's very versatile just like tony
tony is a bit more unorthodox though which catches people off guard
On Episode 2 of UFC 238 Embedded, flyweight champion Henry Cejudo packs for fight week, making a stop in LA to do media and demand latte. Bantamweight conten...
here is my prediction for the fight. neither of them have extraordinary power but they have had TKO victories before. However i think the durability of each of these guys out weighs the other's power so i dont see either of them TKOing each other- but it is a fight and crazy things have happened before. When it comes to the ground, I may give tony the advantage but with that being said cowboy has a good ground game and has submission victories as well he just prefers to strike most of the time. They are both very experienced and both are black belts in BJJ. So i dont see either of them submitting each other either. You guys have brought up good points though- ferguson is a fast starter while cowboy prefers to warm up. Since it is a 3 round fight, I am giving the advantage to Tony. i think tony can take the first round based on his activeness along with his unorthodox striking and each of them will win a round after that. So i think its going to go to a decision and tony wins split decision
im going to go watch the embedded episode now
I see Tony taking him out on the feet only because Cerrone has had a lot of trouble in his career when dealing with people who don't use ordinary styles. He has failed to get past RDA twice, even Darren Till gave him trouble which his odd straight stance. I think Tony is going to confuse him regardless of how much experience Cerrone has had and the people that have failed to beat him, Tony has done it to a ton of experienced fighters.
yea tony unorthodox style is a major tool in this fight. he just isnt one of those guys that is known to floor people. usually he is more technical and keeps the pace on you
similar to nate vs cowboy fight which i think nate won idk it was a long time ago
He can still clip you, has done it in the past and Cerrone has not exactly had a sturdy chin
or at the most have you hurt for a moment which is a lot of time for Tony to deal damage
i think cerrone has more power but tony has a better chin
tony has been rocked too
petis dropped him in his last fight
cerrone chin is good but may not be as good as tony
but in exhchange, tony doesnt hit as hard
imo
Tony is going to do 15 rolls on the ground if he gets hurt, it works π
Anyways I have Tony winning by stoppage of some sort in that fight, itβs a decent PPV card nothing insane
Hahahah
Ive seen a compliation of all his rolls
It looks like he is playing dark souls
Theres lot of good names in the card
But the most interesting match ups are tony - cowboy and cejudo - moraes
I genuinely hope Cujedo loses
Andy Ruiz says he's ready to do something Anthony Joshua wouldn't do -- actually make a fight with Deontay Wilder ... telling TMZ Sports, "That's what we're ...
yeah AJ officially
called for his rematch clause
depending on how it goes, I hope Wilder finally backs AJ into a corner and forces the fight
π° Raptors are playing amazing but they let Curry drop 17 in the 1st quarter
I think we can win this with ease considering how bad of a situation GSW is in
as long as everyone else continues to rely on Curry
and he is ultimately slowed down
no but seriously their whole team has been showing up tonight. it must be nice for Klaw to be able to take a break
yeah, this is how we can beat GSW. we can't take this chance for granted
especially with how weak they are
and the high probability that KD is back next game
yea not having Klay play has been nice for them
is he out for the rest of the finals?
Klay tried to force his way into todays game
no he will be back for sure next game
he was almost in today's game
they called him off literally 3 minutes b4 the game
cuz Kerr didn't want to risk it
but he was ready to play
so I am certain he will be back for game 4 with KD..
