Well (Lucifer S5) ||The first half was a bit boring, I couldn't stand michael as a character and his fake american accent (although not majorly annoying). I loved amenadiel shenanigans, chloe (surprisingly) was very interesting although she keeps going through the same development again, lucifer was kinda underwhelming, ella is wholesome as always, mazikeen... I disliked in certain parts, dan was so good, and the amount of supernatural stuff and mysteries involved was very interesting

at the end of the day I think certain elements of dune aren't able to be translated into film properly, but from what I can see in the trailer it seems like they've got the ambience/setting down, and of course the cgi looks great
what i mean by that is like
conveying character thoughts is going to be nigh impossible to do the same way as frank did, unless they are actually narrating their thoughts to the viewer
which sounds like it'd be bad. i think they won't try doing that
also how they'll handle the ||voice/bene gesserit abilities, and melange||
for a reader i think the success of the film weighs pretty heavy on those concepts
but obviously you can't tell anything about that from the trailer really

Which I think is a pretty competent way of handling a movie adaptation of a series of books like this. Giving the appropriate time to tell it, instead of cutting stuff out etc
