Yeah man it was amazing
Especially considering how the book its based on is just a short story collection, but they managed to make everything connectes
You really want to know about the last part?
|| yeah, he got his own agenda||
loool
||but yennefer was strong af. i feel like they aint gonna meet her right away doe||
Yeah
also ||triss is still alive too right? she was hella just laying there lmao||
|| yeah she should be alive||
||idk much about the lore but pretty sure shes important||
Also || mousesack is alive in the games || lmfao
|| dont remember what happened with him in the books tho ||
||yea he was one of my fav characters. and one of geralts only close friends, that was wack lol||
||they coulda had him stole his face AND STILL kept him alive||
Right??! Lmao
||i like how instead of just meeting at the house, they are just bound to go into the woods lmao||
|| but i can understand they need to kill off some character, especially since the tv series isnt connected to the games ||
|| i dont think he shows up in the books again ||
the word destiny still drills in my head
A bit too much destiny
||renfri was one of my fav still btw||
|| but it was worth it because of the last scene at the last episodes, that was so good ||
||yea I'm surprised tissaia survived btw. she had death written all over||
The next seasons will follow the book series, so Id think the story will get even better and more consistent
|| right?? I dont remember her character in the books tho ||
So many cool characters to show up for the future
Did you play witcher 3?
nope
ima be playing now
i went into it blind
i just love the genre
but im almost destined to play now

only played a bit of the game and never read the books
still watch the series, spice
oh first ep fight choreography is amazing
superman is
one of the main reasons i loved it
tho I have no idea wtf is going on with the story, not sure if its because I didn't read the books
I only recognized 4 names maybe
i mean i was as igorant as u
u know more than me lmao
but in terms of the whole story
i understnd everything
that i should know
(i feel like)
they dont make it that hard becuz they know they'll have a lot of a new audience
still way easier than GOT and some other shows lol
superman is amazing
I heard hes a big fan of the games and books
well games at first
then the director told him there were books
so he got into em fast
yeah, play the game fate if you have a chance
U guys talking about Witcher
Did u watch it yet mister jiren
someone explain something to me
I thought ||The queen from episode 1 died, but shes in episode 4 now||
Witcher ^^
I have another question
Yennefer said ||She spent 3 decades cleaning up politcal messes, has it been 3 decades since she was ugly||
Is this all happening at the same time or is this bouncing around time
this man looks more cgi than his spider pet
@wary ether ROS
It’s what kind of movie? Okay
And some detectives are trying to find lut who did it
ROS was pretty bad lol
Ooh okay
But there’s like some comedy
Interesting
Watch the trailer
I skimmed through it
It looks amazing tbh
Did u watch it?
Ah, okay
also my dear @frigid mountain that chart is pretty bad considering how the new trilogiy builds on 40 years of established lore.
while the other one was brand new.
Rise of Skywalker
Oh
The point is that the nostalgia filter on Star Wars fans is gigantic and while the new trilogy certainly has its own downs, it's pretty as good as the first two
But certain types of people keep screaming about how everything is horrible
Also I actually have this channel muted and all muted channels hidden in this discord, so it took me some very confused time to try and figure out where the hell the ping the discord icon said I had was coming from
why even post that here then.
seems needless
if you go ahead and just mute it agian
and eh, I think Starwars deserves every bit of criticism. That is the burden of being a successor.
a new story would need to make much more effort to even get made into a movie or get any positive reception, while a sequel can coast on "remember the other popular thing" for a while
@crimson lance ||it jumps in timelines, each characters point of views takes place in different timelines||
Circi is ||Daughter of Dunny and white princess|| right
And her timeline is ||after the witchers||
it shows that Rian made Looper when it comes to Knives Out
i googled the law of suprise and got spoiled
Oh damn
Nooo
then why
|| when geralt visits cintra, it takes place before the queen dies ||
yeah yeah i know
Ah ok
Wheres yennefers time line
|| thought u thought law of surprise revived or something lmao ||
no no lol
Its the earliest one that takes place
@true yew Because I wanted to post it during the SW conversation in manga, but just then you said to go to this channel :P
And I still have it muted, I just check it through the link in the manga channel 😂
lol.
so ||yennefer geralt ciri|| is the order?
oli no ||Triss||?
Oh yeah i forgot about ||Triss||
But she doesnt have her own time line i think
Shes in ||Geralts||
shes like ep2 or 3
good
You going to watch more?
yeah later
cobbled together mess
I liked 7
to best put it without spoilers...
8... I liked parts of
it's a continuation of 7, desperately trying to course correct from 8
I don't like that
tbh I can still see people go "nice effects"
They should have just carried on with what happened with 8 and attempted to finish the story in 9
but if that's the finale of 40 years starwars
I mean
that's really the only thing they have for this
trying desperately ride off the old story
when they ||destroyed anything that came before with 7&8||
They should've had a creative director like Kevin Feige imo
Can I click on that, Doom?
Oh, yeah that was dumb
and dunno about Kevin
he's good for marvel
but that has run it's course too
starwars has a different kind of humor
Has it ever been revealed what georges ideas for a sequel are
i know he gave disney some
They should've kept parts of the legends universe canon
Like ||Darth Revan and the other siths for example||
I'll be cynic
they didn't
so they can use it themselves in the future
william there hasn't
That's true. They want to reintroduce it "Disney style", Doom
they can do that
they are already burning through anything the old series had
even the mandalorian lives off that
Thankfully the mandalorian at least is decent
Ye ros is pretty bad lol
Nice
The music in the witcher is nice
The toss a coin song + all the just songs in the background
Its similar to witcher 3 actually
But witcher 3s is better, some of the soundtrack is godly
Like skellige soundtrack
Haha lmao will about the orgy
it is magical
my favorite is Velen
it's got some somber charm to it
yeah
also I'd kill for a live action version of Toussaint
@broken fossil oda doesn't like to add over the top stuff like HERE COMES THE KING OF THE NORTH. KING OF THE NORTH! KING OF THE NORTH!
Yeah lol , either way it’s all tame , nothing really outlandish , and can be shown
yeah
KING OF THE NORTH
i throw up a little everytime i hear that
GAMES OF THE THRONES
Figures
never watched it
unfortunately
I'm pretty sure I stated this a reeeaaaaallllyyy long time back
Witcher is good quality
thank u
BEWBS
it's real
you need to play fortnite to understand the rise of skywalker
I had heard this before but I'm hearing the details now
rise of skywalker||palpatine's message to the galaxy is broadcasted in fortnite AND NOT THE FUCKING FILM||
who
why
what
Movie is dogshit
but giving it more reasons to become dogshit is something anyone wants to avoid
escept Disney apparently
I saw a guy with a han solo shirt saying legends are born in june
Who
The guy who played the bounty hunter
That mando was helping
And then got || betrayed||
i still have to watch it
i got to the point where the guy pretends his mother is dead ot get out of something and i stopped
jesus I went to go watch the irishman and saw it was 3.5 hours long
yeah its veyr long
but supposedly once you start watching it doesnt feel very long
guessing it's a movie I shouldn't watch with my 6 year old brother 3 ft from me
right ?
well its R rated i think
I know the main character is a killer of sorts
so peopel should be dying every now and then
I read the description and yeah
i'm waiting until tonight
need something new to watch on netflix
after 5 repetitive seasons of the blacklist I think i'm gonna drop it
definitely gonna see the irishman
are all the episodes out or is this the series they're doing weekly?
that scene is amazing
maybe I heard wrong about netflix doing some weekly shows
All episodes are out!
how far are you?
I dont think netflix has any weekly shows
Me? I finished it yesterday
never was big into the witcher but I hear good things about it so i'll watch
oh nice oli
they always either: make their originals and release em all at once, or buy the rights to share something someone made once its fully made
I think I heard something about them making some shows weekly
could be wrong tho bc the whole binge factor
Yeah I recognize that
Honestly, I think binging a series makes it better. I kind of lost interest in both mandalorian and watchmen
yeah I feel that
I don't have the patience to wait and save shows
have to live with it for the mandolarian tho
Idk i feel like it depends on the show
some shows are better binged some shows are fine weekly
The best feeling is finding a great show or book or comic or what ever after its finished
You get to binge it
And dont have to deal with the community as much
most of the shows I've seen the last few months haven't been amazing
watched a lot of shows and they were good not great
I havent really seen anything new show wise besides mandalorian
and its been great
I started friends like 4 months ago and its been okay good for whitennoise
I can't even keep track
But other than that i dont think ive started anything up
madmen, the hundred, narcos, the blacklist are the ones I remember rn
watching the hateful eight rn
hateful eight is good
i was not expecting it to be a murdery mystery
Thought it would be a 8 bounty hunters getting together one last time thing
yeah i like it
Next mando episode may have spoilers in it from the new movie
@sage sleet watch witcher
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqbS7O9qIXE Defintly the best thing to come out of witcher

the amount of thirst in the replies to this
Watch Klaus you have been warned
Rise of Skywalker is a 10/10 and a perfect send-off to the main story
...
Wow how are opinions on the movie so extreme
Either really good or really bad
This is weird af lmaoo
Imma yeet outta here to avoid going mad
Even my friend posted it was a 10/10 movie
Or just think differently than u
I haven’t seen it so I ain’t gonna go into it
Ppl@exagerrate
it's a fun time that still manages to have layered characters, a unique visual identity, great ideas, etc.
Star Wars has always been a really enjoyable shouneny, heroes journey, animey sci-fi for me and this just pushes that to the max
Dude, it was a mary sue fanfic
and all the cynicism around the sequels is just silly to me
there was no character growth to Rey
Finn is denied a character arc
Poe is still potrayed as a doofus
The story doesn't respect continuity as it explains nothing behing the macguffins it pulls
it is good as a self-contained story
aside from the mary sueisms
but it is using legacy
and that is a nono
I am being fair here
it is enjoyable - to a degree
good cinematography riddled with bad writing, which is a shame - but with what they had to work with from TLJ, I really pity them
but then again, I don't
not after Lucas was backstabbed by the people he trusted to follow his guides
you can enjoy it
but saying it is a 10/10
is stretching it
but I can't tell you what not to like
that's up to you
Finished witcher
how is it!?
Its aight
but uh fuck man really wish i didnt watch it
Id rather have it finished before i started
Wait, it's not done?
Oh damn
Nothing has happended really this might as well be a very long pilot
Any examples
I haven't watched it, so I'll show myself out
The character relationships ig
Felt a bit rushed for so many of them
||geralt falling for yennefer. The merchant trying so hard to get geralt to help him bury the bodies despite calling him “butcher” when they first meet||
If ||u think the mans a killer why ask him to do good with u||
Rey is a very layered and troubled individual that manages to find the strength to fight back and overcome her weaknesses with the help of others, if you didn't see that you didn't care enough(?), but yeah her character is definitely my favorite part of the sequel trilogy, and Ben ain't half either
I got everything I wanted out of Finn even before this movie, so him playing a big part in this one was like a bonus
If she had weakness
Poe being comic relief with a bit of a higher purpose is fine by me
and a troubled individual?
That is somewhat agreeable - but the fact that she is able to use the force with no trouble is really stupid
like, she has no training
almost everything was explained, if you don't like power of friendship/love thingies that's fine, but everything made sense if you're willing to accept the additions this movie provided
and Poe is treated as third rate garbage when he's supposed to be the best pilot in the galaxy
Comedy is fine
but not when it is overdone for a movie that doesn't need it at every corner
and I liked the fanservice/callbacks
it had great emotional stakes and twists that made the movie consistently enjoyable
the butcher digger thing is odd complaint
he was insulting him but then he made it clear he wasnt a killer
He kept calling him it cause why not
emotional stakes proved redundant by rey's power
power never earned
all the problems are solved by force techniques that even the most powerful force users had to master with years of training
Anakin, who is a force child
had to train in order to do what he does
he was a slave who had to lose alot of races in order to succeed
he earned his piloting skills
Rey is able to wish her problems away
well not wish
But she is supposedly a force child exactly like anakin
and is able to do all this!?
Without training!?
If she had barriers to overcome
as I said, I percieve Star Wars as a very shouneny/cartoony franchise, so I'm fine with all the cliches and "asspulls", as I don't enjoy a lot of Western media outside of artsy-fartsy stuff and some coming-of-age stories
all things considered
Star Wars is not shoneny
ROS||thinking about Kylo makes me sad||
there was so much that could have been done and he deserved so much better
and I really do like him
Kylo is done dirty
I wanted so much more for him
and treating Star Wars as some masterpiece Bible is kinda counter-productive imo
I don't
SW is many people's childhood
it was part of my childhood
I'm no superfan, but I can see when an IP is being mistreated
SW deserves all the hate it gets and much more
I am pointing out that the movie disrespects the franchises themes
and logic
and world
Rey not only had literal genetic predispositions for being so strong, but also didn't do most of the stuff alone, but with the help of other people, which made it realistic...or, as realistic as you can get
the best steel doesn't make good swords appear
^
||the bond with Ben, the Jedi moment, the scene with Luke and the X-Wing, etc.||
none of those are deserved
and it's implied Rey had done a lot of training before setting off
Actually, no
that is bullshit as well
It is all bulls***
and she was already plenty strong, iirc
the idea that ||Leia was trained to be a jedi by luke and passes that on to Rey is obscene||
the movie doesn't know what it's doing
which means it could've happened
that's something everyone would love
luke, ||the savior of the galaxy, trying to raise a new generation on his own||
who doesn't want that
Leia couldn't also be trained in a short time span as well
it is heavily implied the siblings barely made contact
in the first movie
you can't just say that things happen
and then just move forwards with them
there's a limit to that
the "show, don't tell" mentality is what rubs me wrong with a lot of Western criticism as well
the things they're telling us are nonsense
it would be better if they even made an attempt
You can show it as a nod
it's lazy writing and it doesn't even make sense
doesn't have to be a visual
there was Zero effort in making this make sense
and this can not be explained away with "I don't like how people criticise things"
and first of all
"show, don't tell" criticisms are there to not treat the audience as idiots
what a strange point to get hung up on
why would you ever rather have someone tell you something than see it?
with rare exceptions
|| did they tel u how Palpatine was able to survive ||
but why would that ever be what you swing with?
NO!
||the dark side of the force is a gateway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural|| @jolly sedge
LMAO, Roro
Ye they didn’t
THAT'S LITERALLY IT
lol
it was amazing
Looooool
they didn't even try
That’s a amazing expalnitik

Jiren,
That proves they didn’t know what to do
because it happened in the past within a timeframe which wasn't happening during any of the trilogies?
WTF
another problem Oni
LMAO
That timeline is relevant
Ye jj probsly watched the end of rotj and was like mhmmmmh
that would be some of the most potent material
And came up with that
god i wish star wars never existed
||the only thing that wouldn't have made sense would be if it was implied as happening while she was doing something else||
star wars has been a plague upon this channel
what?
and worldbuilding set up by the movies before
and jojo is a plague on #other-series william
"it shouldn't have been this, it should've been that"
Without Star Wars, visual effects wouldn't be where it is today
that's not what we got though
you're not addressing any of our actual criticism
so why blindly hate on what we got
you're just making broad sweeping statements to shove the bad parts of the film under the rug
I'm not blindly hating anything
They had 40 years to come up with something good
it's because I paid attention that I'm so upset
jojo has not been talked about in months
I'm not saying this timeline couldn't have been good
but yes, I would prefer an older one
Oni, when you are working with a series with established logic and rules - you don't take a hammer and destroy it for the sake of "Twists"
Or I should say come up with something that made sense
you just said they should've shown us something that they didn't
this is not me blindly hating the sequels
that ain't criticism if you ask me
^
and we'll go from there
I can attack it from any angle
what do you want to start with?
Trust me, Roro can and will
I've yet to see an argument for why it's bad outside of "they did something they didn't do in the original trilogy reee blasphemy"
I have never said that
uh, we all stated none of that
We are saying that a series with a set standard of rules and logic have to be respected
and the originals set it up
as well as the prequels
this is honestly what ROS defenders feel like now
why do they hate rules
why do they hate consistency
Why do they hate worldbuilding
Oni are u able to tel us why the last Jedi was a good movie
I'm fine with people being upset with the force stuff, I just find that really silly
why
I really think it’s impossible to do so
let's start with an easy one Oni
Rey being able to use ||force lightning, do you like that||
The force already has set rules
and for the record I love SW worldbuilding, the horse part was my favorite part of LJ and I love the spinoffs
oh god
Motherfucker
you just want your set pieces
yes I do like that, it's pretty clear why she can lol
you just want your trailerbait
Oni just wants the scenics
why are you trying to talk about these movies if you aren't willing to engage with them
Oni cares not of cohesive storytelling
Just say you like it for the visuals and action
anyway
you're allowed to hate it all you want, I just thinks it's an extremely closed-minded mentality
let's respond to the 🌩️
...
you're wrong.
The weather is cold
@void copper explaing how || Palpatine was able to survive this ||
||that's a dark side ability||
no, I like it mostly for the characters, then for the worldbuilding and emotion
and Oni is giving me a migrane
A planet exploding
along with the music and visuals, of course
JJ even expresses this in interviews
because they're believable and well-written?
this isn't even a joke
yes, he was
along with Rey in my book
And that is sad
Rey undergoes no emotional trial - all of it is solved with her mary sueisms
because I see characters as people and not narrative tools?
you're saying nothing
she doesn't have an emotional barrier that restricts her training
talk about her as a person
and she was a very believable people
nor her abilities
on a psychological level
as I said, I'm fine with her powers being asspulls
Rey is the captain marvel of star wars
LMAO
I refuse to see captain marvel movie
yeah, we know you don't care about the writing
just tell us what part of her you like
I will never watch it
I saw it
because you haven't convinced me
because every time I ask you to go into details you drop a vague blanket statement and move the goalposts
And I regretted that
I can't even figure out if you even like this movie
Only time I can see myself watching it is if the fam is
if she was an "emotionless slate" she would just be an emo edgelord, no?
Rey has no connection to any emotion
he has conflict
Rey goes through the widest variety of emotions throughout the movie
she literally exists because the world bends for her
he has goals that go agaisnt what he wants
she has no ambition
Kylo says "I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do that"
he has problems he needs to learn to work through
he's an actual character
everyone comes to her and says she is the ultimate
from context, you can infer that Rey is thinking about certain things but none of them come through in the show
this makes her character a blank piece of wood
no one scorns her or resents her
things happen to Rey and she does things
at no point does she ever become a character, there is no reason to root for her or take her side
and she doesn't seem to give much a shit
"you probably don't care, but I like you"
of anything
remember that shep?
Yes
EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO REASON
I'm doing everything I can to draw out literally a single point of discussion
catch you later
you see my defenses as non-criticisms, I see your statements as choosing not to be emotionally invested
wrong
I really think there's no point in this
it is impossible for me to care about the sequels because I have a functioning brain.
I look at what they tell me is possible
I look at what they do in the films
I notice that they don't line up and that the writing makes no sense
thereby, it is impossible for me to care
if I try to enjoy the sequels, I have to stop thinking, and I can not do that
stop asking me to stop thinking
just admit that the movies are terrible
my lack of emotional investment is not a choice
it's a failure on behalf of JJ and Rian
I still haven't gotten any answer as to what doesn't make sense apart from "she's strong for no reason" and "I wish we could see a different point in the timeline"
Only good thing about the movies was the quality and the effects
and how he's someone that you can care about
The lightsabers look good
it's because the OT spends time with Luke and we get to watch him grow
he is, moreso than Rey
he's a flawed, imperfect person who lets what he wants get in the way of what he should do
he's too passionate and doesn't listen to his teachers
doesn't mean I have to hate Rey for not being Luke
eventually, he faces tragedy and hardship and grows as a person
at every point in the process, we the audience are there with him
his journey is our journey, we learn more about the world and the force through luke's eyes
he is someone that we can care about because we understand what he's going through
effort is put into OT Luke to make him something real
this is why when you take all of that away and ask us to care about Rey, we can not
I agree that Luke is better written, doesn't mean that Rey doesn't seem like a real person, especially taking into account that she remains an insecure and imperfect individual to the end pretty much
and there's nothing wrong with that
all the things I just praised Luke for are missing in Rey's storyline
when they try and imitate them without putting in the work, they are forced
they can try and use some of the same ideas as before but none of them are given time to develop and none of it is natural
the treatment of Luke's character is nothing like the treatment of Rey's
they just expect us to care about Rey because she's the main character
how did she learn to be such a good pilot?
how did she learn how to speak droid and wookie?
how did she learn how to fix the millenium falcon?
how is she so good with a blaster?
how did she become so good with the force?
none of these questions are answered or ever addressed
the idea that we are choosing to not care about Rey is absurd
we never had a chance
there is no effort put into making her a character
you didn't see it so it could've happened
wrong
nope, not true, let me pull up the script
: FINN Now that was some flying! How did you do that?! No one trained you? No one? That was amazing! (beat) You set me up for it! (cocky) That was pretty good. REY Good shooting! Thanks! I-- I don't know! -- I've flown some ships but I've never left the planet! Your last shot was dead on. You got him with one blast! (laughs) It was perfect!
Han hands Rey a blaster pistol as she stands at looks at the castle. HAN You might need this. REY I think I can handle myself. HAN I know you do. That's why I'm giving it to you. Take it. Rey picks it up. Grips it. HAN (CONT'D) You know how to use one of these? REY Yeah, you pull the trigger. HAN There's a little bit more to it than that. You got a lot to learn.
a few scenes later she's perfectly aiming and sniping stormtroopers
she's better at fixing the falcon than Han
you can not ignore these by saying they were done offscreen
she literally doesn't know and is just perfect at everything
another example from ROS ||how did she know how to use the ocean glider?||
she was born on a fucking desert planet
Rey is just perfect
she's not a person and she's not a character
I see, I definitely did not remember that. still, luck and talent are a thing, although I do agree that's lazier writing than keeping it ambiguous
SNOKE: And look at you, the deed split your spirit to the bone. You were unbalanced... Bested by a girl who had never held a lightsaber! You failed!
Rey defeated fucking Kylo Ren with zero effort
she defeated him in a force mental battle when she thought the force was a myth earlier that day
she defeated him in a lighsaber duel
she is kind of an independant mechanic though, if I remember Force Awakens correctly
nope
she's a scavenger
she picks parts off of an old imperial star destroyer, cleans them up, sells them for food
she spends her life doing the bare minimum to get by
if she were a mechanic she would have a better transport
because she would just be able to fix it
and yet the moment she steps into the millenium falcon she's pulling off the most advanced technical stunts in the franchise
this can not be explained away with "maybe she did it off screen or in the past"
she doesn't even know the falcon is the falcon until han tells her it is
she thinks it's just a pile of garbage that hasn't flown in years
she never struggles and never learns
see, that's something I'd forgotten about and I agree is lazy
it's fine if you like the sequels
there's nothing wrong with liking bad things
but don't tell people they're not allowed to criticise it
still, scavenging around seems like a job you could learn a thing or two about machines doing, not to that extent though
anakin spent years of his life in a workshop and had never finished a race before the boonta eve event
even with being gifted by the force
it's not the same
still don't think ROS had anything wrong with it though, especially under the shouneny umbrella I give it
still don't think ROS had anything wrong with it
the fleet
||the fleet was built underground, is forced through the earth to take off, which should damage them extensively, they are incapable of going up without a control tower, and there is only one control tower. ||
done
never said anyone isn't allowed to criticise anything, just find the "this character didn't go through hardship on-screen and therefore isn't a person" argument kinda crap
the ||dagger||
Rey out of nowhere ||pulls out the pointy thing and is magically standing in the right place to line up with the wreckage||
done
the idea that something like that was crafted to be used in that exact situation and position, when it is unmarked, the wreckage could change shape or be destroyed at any time, is retarded
things just Happen because the plot requires it
you can't know the mechanics or sturdiness of the fleet
they're just star destroyers
remind me whether or not the dagger was made after the Death Star attack
and I can know the mechanics!
I watched the movie, and they explained how they work
:)
if it was made before the destruction of the death star it only gets more retarded
but I'm not sure um
no, it only gets retarded then
nope
it's a possible coincidence otherwise
for all the reasons I outlined
the place she stands in is unmarked, insignificant, and arbitrary
that makes sense within the context of a movie
there are a billion angles to look at a billion different parts of the wreckage
how would you also know that it is ||pointing to the wayfinder||
why is that room still operational?
why is the ||death star not in pieces? we saw it explode||
ignoring these problems or not caring about them does not make them go away
you want more coincedences? we've got them
- becuase it is the sole purpose of the dagger
the chance of it being used for its intended purpose naturally is Zero
- possible it could've survived, again you don't know the technology in this fantasy world
wrong
- that is just conveniece, agreed
||we saw it explode and the force of the impact would have destroyed it even if it didn't||
||can you point out the massive chunk for me https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/513312224048185345/658161796951048203/image0.jpg||
why was this never something the Rebels knew about?
how about that?
possibly no contact with the particular planet?
irrelevant
the explosion could be seen from the surface of endor
the idea that a fragment of that size went unnoticed is absurd
the idea that is survived impact is absurd
and the pieces could go anywhere at a high velocity
nope
we saw the explosion
you're describing to me a film that doesn't exist
the situation we are in now is impossible in the world that was established
sure, I agreed it's convenience
just considering the possibilities
it's not a possibility
this is not possible in the universe we know
also, unless I've got my facts twisted up, the award ceremony in A New Hope was held on this planet
you could maybe argue the implied piece was behind the explosion from the angle we see it from
you can not
stretching it but isn't impossible
you gave rise of skywalker a ten
haven't seen 7 and 8 since they came out, the rest in like 8 years
"the subjective side of art is a gateway to many opinions some would consider to be unnatural"
-Bilbo "Biggideas" Baggins
so you refreshed some thingies for me
I'm going to go break some concrete with my forehead and finish this podcast

it's pretty good!
Oni gave it a 10??????
Just a guess but Oni seems to rate things they like very high regardless
true, I do
my MAL ratings are subjective for the most part
a thing I use to tell people how much I liked something
and am dude lol
Im not much of a critical thinker when it comes to ratings either
but i hardly give out 10s
if i like something alot its like a 8
Unless i think its one of my favorite 5 manga then its like a 9 or 10
my MAL rating are very subjective as well
Something thats good not great is a 6
but a lot of though goes into them
7 is great
because I'm consistent and I have to measure things carefully
5 is okay
4 is bad, 3 is awful, 2 is terrible, 1 is why did i pick this up i hate my self
10 - loved everything + blew me away/connected to it on a higher level
9 - loved everything/almost everything
8 - liked it but had personal problems with it, or it wasn't as interesting
5-7 - meh, 8 without the "liked it"
4-1 - did not like, delet
sort of applies to Western things and other mediums I guess?
nice
So, I didn't hate Rise of Skywalker
7.2/10
Lots of plot holes, and the pacing was... Rushed to say the least
But tbh, it wasn't unenjoyable

im barely thru episode 1 of the witcher show
and i fuckin love it
right from the first second of the first scene lol
lmaoo nice
Nice earl
You got to love EFAP.
Roro, you did good work!
Saw the witcher and boy was it worth it
All those critics saying garbage and copying each other is really getting old quick
The critics have an agenda
Gamers, nerds, and geeks are an oppressed minority
they want us gone
and everything we love
Also, RT is a partner with Disney
I think it got decent reviews from critics as well?
Ryttttt
Fucking bastards
Because life’s too short for Netflix drama running times, I skipped ahead to the fifth episode
Imagine that ffs!
You being paid to critic something and yet u fucking skip ahead
Eehhh
They know the show is a big thing
So they write some controversial to get more clicks
And they succeeded since i clicked on it
Urgh
Jokes on them - I can see through their bulls***
Forreal though this show feels like I’m playing a quest in Witcher 3 but hands-free 😂 it’s kind of amazing , there is geralt making all my dialogue choices for me
The way the cameras are shifting between the faces as they have conversations too, it’s like part of a quest 😂
A video game adaption done right!
Yep!!
The episode flow is like me starting a quest in the beginning and by the end of the hour I’m finishing that quest
My nerd radar goes off the charts watching this show
lmao
We can have the detailed discussion once u finish it all
Has anyone read sandman?
Ive heard its a masterpiece so i got curious
Oli is that the comic book?
Yeah
Isnt it about mythology and stuff?
Is it really when not alot of people know of it
I mean, it is good
but the hype is excessive
If anything, rereading it is a chore
meant to be only read once
@hoary hawk
why did u tag me
I think he knows you watch witcher and strong watches witcher so he should tag you
gonna binge tonight
started episode 1 last night
I sorta see what alb means from even the first episode
Cool, yeah haven't had the chance yet, some stuff came up @crimson lance, but will do as the show goes on
