I'm gonna try and take my brother to see it on tuesday
u should
Damn. The third episode of the mandalorian was heat
||I loved seeing Mando take down all the clone troopers down like a one man army||
Even better was when ||All the other mandalorians, including the guy he had beef with in the beginning of the episode came to help him. Really good episode, and I'm glad because it looks like baby Yoda is sticking around for the season|| Mandalorian spoilers
this is the way
This is the way
this is the way
Is anyone else weirded out by Disney telling people when its ok to spoil things? It just comes off as some cunt-move to try to force people to watch their things to avoid spoilers.
im weirded out by everything disney does
but i dont think thats too bad
If they can prevent at least one person who geniunely wants to see it from getting spoiled thats fine by me
yeah but its like they did with avengers, it took about 2 weeks after release if even for them to say "Spoilers are ok now". lol
Disney is a scummy corporation
tell me more
You mean how Bob Iger finessed Lucas
How Marvel Comics got f***ed over in the Disney buyout
has it affected the industry at all
Comics wise, yes
Star wars wise - it'll take time to recover
Theme park - absolute disaster
Live action reboots are a dumpfire
only surviving because of nostalgia
Disney is also buying way too many studios - eliminating all competition
which leads to more mainstream carbon-copy crap
instead of innovation
has there been any backlash regarding these decicions
Sometimes but its easy to muffle it all so it doesn't go anywhere
similar to how EA/activision control all social media related to them
essentially
personally for me, disney+ is overwhelming. too much planned content and it feels like they're trying to bully their way into every market
I remember thinking EA having the star wars IP was the stupidest thing but Disney & them are actually a good match lol
the only thing I wanna watch is mandalorian and I'll wait until its complete. Idk how it is in the US but for canada
netflix is still getting every disney release well into 2020
and its censorship on quality content
Ya, I saw that !
Imma pirate Mandalorian
Same.
f*** disney
Disney aint got no tegridy
My mother got sued by Disney a long time ago because she got a copy of a book on how to draw Mickey & other characters, and the process that goes with it
dafaq?
She started drawing disney stuff from the book and making cards to give to people for their birthdays and stuff. Not selling anything. Some guy showed up at our door, served papers.
This is also a reason why Disney is scummy
to this day, nobody has any idea wtf happened or how they knew. Pretty much a cease & desist, and saying that if it continues, Disney will sue for Intellectual property theft, copyright infrigment and other nonsense.
and Mickey Mouse is public domain, yes?
like the old characters are public domain
how can she be sued for the infringement
and more importantly, she wasn't selling
I believe so. I was young at the time but I remember her not wanting to fight it out of fear because corporation with enough money to fuck everything up
Disney has not been negatively affected for any more than a few days at all since they started buying every company
They always bounce back just like any big compnay that makes movies, games or shows
dude, if there is a reduction of competition in the market, there is no bounce back to making quality stuff
since there is no reason to push the limit
I don't like the situation either, it's nearly a monopoly at this point isn't it? Not sure about USA laws but it looks like that.
i think theres some difference between it and a monopoly but i dont know
Surely there are, but isn't it going toward that direction?
I think the reason they arent, is because they dont own it all in one area
They own comics, movies, tv, streaming sites, all of those are different
but if they owned every streaming service, or every major comic publisher, i think then they become a monopoly
That makes sense, thanks for the info!
imagine paying for streaming services
watch when they bundle streaming services like good ol' cable channels
full circle
literally already are
You can do something like buy spotify, and get a month of disney plus
You can get Spotify, Hulu and Disney+ I think in a package
But Hulu comes with ads in that package
I just share accounts
I use Hulu since there’s usually a good selection of anime of there that simulcasts. Plus some other shows I watch on there like B99
i used to use Hulu, when it was free
then what happened?
he got banned from hulu
@sage sleet
why is everything i try to watch on dc universe site dark
like i can hear the voice
but i cant watch anything
like all black
i remember this being a prob when i first had it too
like wtf
you know the ep timer, i can see the scenes
but not the actual screen tiself
works on firefox
monthly
cant commit myself to yearly yet
not enuff series
though harley quinn might be nice
bruh i just realized i currently have a netflix, hulu, disney+, dc account
idm netflix and disney becuz i have siblings
hulu is 5 bucks with spotify + showtime (which is an absolute steal)
but i prob didnt need to add the dc one lmao
just use mine
from dc or the others
wait I somehow forgot to watch the new titans
Anyone seen irishman yet?
Dragon prince is pretty good. Its a shame so many avatar fans hate on it because "ItS nO AvAtAr"
I love the elf girl shes my favorite
Yes
The animation looks kinda choppy because they try to make it look more 2D but youll get used to it. And it works great in fight scenes
ya, thats my issue with most netflix animated shows. that weird CGI just feels.. cheap. It's worse in series like Baki where they only use it during scenes with more movements
I have no problem with it as long as it looks cool. Spiderverse did it and it looks amazing
Btw each new episode of rick and morty reminds me more and more of how its still one of the best shows on television right now
Spiderverse can't really be compared to anything ntflix has put out. With Spiderverse, it was an artistic decision. With Netflix, its a budget decision.
I think its kinda both
Spiderverse was... something else
I still don't think anything comparable exists to it, maybe Red Line. But that's a different genre, different style of animation and all of that
i don't even remember whats on dc
i just have hulu and disney and amazon prime
prime because they keep extending my trial
hulu because its with my spotify, and i pay for disney
plex i just use to watch stuff
Lmao yeah that first episodes a doozie
Black Mirror is a show with alot of WTF moments
s3 of castlevania december first fellas
awesome i was asking about that the other day
This is the way
I don't think I understand everything in Taxi Driver but it was a very good movie regardless
the 70s one with robert de niro?
the one that everyone compares Joker to for some reason
they're very, very different movies
I don't know where I would start if I wanted to go and draw comparisons
Gotham is kind of like New York? ok cool
what else
Uhm the narrative and theme of the characters?
Theyre not ”very” different at all
Its been a while since i saw it but
I think there were many overall similarities
granted, I watched the movie in preparation for a podcast I was listening to, so I'll hear more about it
but I find it strange that everyone who talks about Joker talks about this movie
So you saw it recently then?
I finished it one second ago
Ah ok
I can feel some of the same vibes from the two films
Isnt it because the director himself made thoae direct comparion to king of comedy? And thats why he signed up bob to be in the movie?
it's just that Joker is massively better in every way
it's more focused on the main character, who is more interesting, with a more compelling performance, in a more interesting world
it's tighter and explores the point more deeply
and aesthetically it clowns on it, if you'll pardon the pun
Yeah, about time we get a new movie that is better than the movie it was inspired by imo
as good as taxi driver was it really can't compare
I'm talking about Taxi Driver
Thats why
Im talking about king of comedy, another movie starring robert deniro
xd
I saw Joker before taxi driver so that is probably influencing my opinion somewhat
but I was much more inclined to like it from the beginning, considering the character and world
and since I care a lot about aesthetics I got a lot more out of it
I could see that
watching taxi driver was a strange experience at times
parts of it were just fucking absurd
or hilarious
Although i love the aesthetics of taxi driver and all most of those 70s movies
Its like
Real life fantasy
In sense of modern movies are trying to look like something looked like years ago but isnt it real, its all costumes and replicas and so on, but those old moves actually looked like that and it is very real. Just find it fascinating.
Did you see Lucci in taxi driver?
Rob Lucci?
Yeah
the pimp guy I guess
Yup
Oda mentioned the movie in some interview
And their costumes are almost identical
Cant be a coincidence since Oda is a huge movie buff especially for older movies
i think the main thing people say is similar is how he starts relativley okay but by the end is a ||murderer ||
and how its a slow process
altough ||joker killed people, like 30 minutes in||
The irishman comes out tommorow on netflix btw
what's it about
this is too funny
I’m reading through the shining by Stephen King.
I’m not super far but. Holy cow I’m very invested in a very scary book
Omg is that steven universe on the left?!
I gotta watch the shining movie at the very least man
I haven’t seen the movie
Apparently they’re pretty different but both amazing
Which is fine. Reading this, it doesn’t feel like it could be a movie.
King made his version of the movie that no one knows about anyway
I went to see the irishman on cinema yday lol
I figures its worth to waste some money on it even tho i have netflix, since this likely the last collab all those old guys will do
It was more political and historical than i expected
My girlfriend walked out after an hour but i stayed for all the 3,5 hs lol
It was good
I got used to the deaging effects after a while
Wasnt as good as I hoped tho
Felt like scorsece got free totally free reigns ovr the movie, and made it quite casual unfriendly compared to his dicaprio movies
Havnt seen silence yet tho
oh its out now good
ye it is

Man I really love that movie the Pursuit of Happyness
no country for old men is also not on netflix anymore
why do i always wait too fucking long
I need to watch that
great movie
i got a friend that looks and acts just like him

So what’s your guys favorite alien species from Star Wars mine is E.T.’s race
My favorite Star wars creature is alien from alien versus predator
Kit fisto race
hulu is cheap now
Wookies
I've only ever seen 1 Star Wars film
Which one?
helluva boss is top tier
I love Helluva Boss! 😄
soooooooo good
richard horvitz cursing is real funny
also brandon rogers in the main dude I think
Gonna watch the joker now
first time?
i may go try to see doctor sleep
enjoy
im about to hit up the cvs before i go to buy cheap candy
isn't candy from cvs pricey
nothing is as pricey as the movies though lol
actually idk maybe it is cheaper at the theater in this case
damn cvs
I don’t know the prices of candy
It turns out Cvs would have probably been cheaper
Cost over $11
I wanted some popcorn but was afraid they were going to ask for a kidney
what are you seeing
Doctor sleep
mhm
It’s the sequel to Stephens Kings the shining I think
set in the same universe
Anything is cheaper than movie theaters

I think there could be a tasmanian devil fruit like from looneytoons
Maybe he spins like a tornado too
As his awakening
I hope they remake looneytoons
But with like better animation
The old animation is really outdated
The scaling and hd converted versions are ok
But still lack colour
I also think spacejam 2 will be good
But idk if lebron james will be as good as micheal jordan
But i feel like they need to expand on certaim chars
Like bugs bunny
Like we get his fav food is carrots and the type of person he is
But its bland. He needs a backstory
And like why he is like he is
I understand hes being huntee
But how did he end up in thay field
I also feel like there neees to be progression in the coytoe story line
He always runs away and is free
But there has to be more depth and story stelling there
Also tweety bird needs to play a bigger part
Most of her story line is legit tom and jerry
Yes.
Whose your faivroute looneytoon
Daffy
I think daffy and porky pig are iconic looneytoon charecters
Everyone usually pciks bugs bunny and tweetie bird
But i agree. Nothing ever goes right for porky pig and daffy duck. But they always make a good situation out of bad things that happen to them
Tweetie does look like a baby with a big head
Well.
But tweetie is very cute and smart
Which is why she resonates so well with many people
Like me. Now I'm dumb
Such a small person able to defend her self
Doctor sleep was pretty good
slept through it
it never really leaves the plot throughout the movie. i didnt realize it really until i had to use the bathroom but didnt want to go because i was afraid i was going to miss something.
it was consistent and a bit subtle and the ending really ramped up and brought back some nostalgia. worth watching if you are a stephen king fan
Rebecca Ferguson was also a babe in it
think i have a crush on her now
Ewan McGregor was in it also
love me some obi won kenobi
explaining ur character's luck or natural talent via ancestry/power they received as a baby or in the womb is just mary sue w extra steps. this is so silly
I mean Lukes also a pretty big Mary Sue
@brittle gust not even remotely. in episode 4, he doesn't even fight because he has not trained at all, unlike rey who won fights against experienced people and used force moves she had no knowledge of. he just spends the time being the clueless one around obi wan & han, and then he DOES successfully fire into the death star's weak point, but had to be saved by han & the other rebels to do so. in episode 5, luke gets saved from wampa & dying in the cold by han, struggles to learn over several days w yoda, loses to vader, and gets saved by lando. rey in episode 8 trained for the same or even less time from an unenthused teacher and still matched kylo and was said to be one of the greatest powers existing. then in episode 6, much time passed and he is a lot better and succeeds more yes, but the difference is this is his final movie and then he STILL needs help from vader to take down sidious. rey does so many things well from her first movie. please never say luke is a gary stu ever again
it's a huge mistake in rey since her background makes her an even bigger underdog. luke: family, home, friends although they've been leaving recently, basically good life, he is just bored and wants something more fulfilling. rey: abandoned as baby, loner, has to hunt & steal, lives anywhere she is, wants to make friends & family while she goes to other planets. such wasted potential w that
I’m just gonna say
@scenic terrace ||houken backstory is pretty damn neat. Really dig it. I love how it adds so much weight to the character he has been. The way he reacts to ouki makes even more sense considering was a human that made him struggle showing off he wasn’t above the humans themselves||
(Kingdom)
So dope chapter man
wrong channel broski
@hard rapids 👆

@dim hedge oh you right. I need to rewatch the original trilogy it’s been a while. The closest thing to a Gary Sue for Luke was flying and destroying the Death Star without any actual training and especially against real trainers. But that’s the only part it’s kind of like that. Also I’m not a Rey defender either, I heavily dislike Episode 8. The only excuse for her beating Kylo Ren is that he’s injured but if you remember in episode 7 he kept hitting himself where he got injured. Being injured kind of hyped him up.
np
he used to bullseye womp rats back on tattooine
they aren't much bigger than two meters

Han was backing him up so he could focus
and he was also using the force
so no problems there
star wars lore nerd roro??
nah lol
oh
I just heard this exact argument recently
people trying to pin OT Luke as a mary sue
and it's like No
🤢🤮
I probably listen to people talk about star wars more than is healthy
but what can you do
How do you guys think Episode 9 is gonna be?
trash
I have slight hope
I think episode 7 gets more hate then it should. It wasn’t bad, it was good, not good as before but still good. Episode 8 deserves all the hate it gets
from the leaks its utter garbage
Oh that sucks
tfa was bad
Tfa was a safe move
Dont know if this is common thing from disney, but theyve supposedly shot alot of different pieces of the movie which you can stich together
and change
safe is bad
Not really
so if a audience doesnt like the ending? they change it for another ending
safe is bad
safe is a polite way of saying they ripped off everything they know will make money without trying anything new
which means it's trash
Imagine if they didn’t do safe and they do another midichlorian
it's just a cash in at that point
It wasn’t even a full ripoff honestly.
They had another Death Star and that was like the biggest point
Rey is a whamen, yes
Episode 8 was a cash grab though
Nothing important happened in the movie except that Luke and Snoke die
all of star wars is a cash grab
The rest of the movie is just a waste of time
everything after the OT is a cash grab, arguably
at least disney kicked dnd
They say it’s not gonna be about the sky walkers but this trilogy isn’t even about the sky walkers
They ruined GOT cause they focused too much on Disney and got fired from Disney because they focused too much on Netflix
The 3 episodes of the Mandalorian have actually been pretty good so far
didnt get fired
they left
also theres 4 episodse out now
came out this morning
most of the books & cartoons r genuine i think @runic dirge
oh sure yeah
actually made out of passion
Oda said he is hyped to see the mandalorian
what oda NEEDS to do is go to the studio and do those funny little drawings I like so much for FREE
the audacity
episode 4 of the Mandalorian was good
did it have baby yoda
but of course
then yes its good
baby yoda will die
Baby yoda got to be the cutest thing on tv
I'll watch the show if it's just him walking aroundfor 40 mins
im still waiting till this day for someone to explain to me why Ron Jeremy was in the Boondock Saints
Goddamn Us was so good. Cant believe it took me so long to watch it
Peele does it again
I havent seen Get out, but from the clips and stuff ive seen, it seems alot better than Us
i thought US was okay, my main issue was with how dark eveyrthing was but thats likley cause i went to a outdoors theather
Yea unlike get out, us is actually below average imo
Mandalorian is probably the best disney produced star wars stuff so far
I cant believe you guys thought Us wasnt great. The twist was way better than get out, i thought
the twist seemed obvious and like i said i havent seen get out, but it seems harder to guess that people were swapping bodies
You must either be crazy or have 200 IQ then
|| the whole "the double won in the end" plot was seen before but its usually from a mix up of who the real person is at the end. In Us it was done but its turns out the one who had a whole family and livelyhood and shit was the double and it happened from the beginning with no prior clues until you rewatch ||
I can see why it would seem obvious in hindsight when you forget the twist but honestly its genius to me
oh that one
thought you meant the whole ||The double was the one who went back with teh family in the start of the movie|| thing
See i didnt expect it, especially since i thought || theyd talk weird so youd be able to tell if theyre an imposter. The going mad thing explained it though but i wasnt thinking about that really ||
@barren temple Us was amazing. I liked Get Out just as much, tbh I can't compare the two. They're both just as good for different reasons
In my opinion, the twist for Us was way better though
Get Out's twist was way too predictable
Really, really good movie
But Us had a better twist
Makes the second watch through so good
bro just watch it on hulu
Just pirate it
^
We are in a one piece discord after all
Unless you have Hulu
smh
Titans finale was bad
Most of the episode was going smoothly...
then
||they kill Donna in the most ridiculous way possible and no one moved a muscle||
nooo
legit just remembered the episode was out
didn't click on it but to hear the episode was bad
I think they improved in a lot of areas this season
still have a ways to go but still
raven and jason were my least favorites this season
is it becuz u dont love children
I liked this season
the ending was very weird
lot going on
also ||why tf was connor just sitting there??????????????? he could have take that no problem||
||it'll make for a raven power up arc or something ig||
titans s2
Prison Break!
👌
this episode of watchmen tho
the previous episode was some of the best shit I've seen on tv too
top cinematography
I thought id watch way less tv series after the extremely disappointing last season of game of thrones
And now im in love with watchmen, his dark materials and the mandalorian and super hyped for the witcher lol
The last season of GoT makes me appreciate good writing more
I was prepared for it the moment they annouced the show would overtake the books
so I guess it didn't disappoint me much
even in dorne plotline you could already get a glimpse of the porn level writing
and that was back in season 5 or 6
Rian Johnson, the director behind The Last Jedi, says he'd like to make an episode of The Mandalorian. https://t.co/YhjViMFsRA

😐
In the same interview, Johnson addressed the changing landscape of modern fan culture, particularly with the advent of social media, as he admitted that he didn't find The Last Jedi backlash to be a deterrent since this type of negative feedback is "kind of a by-product of this social Twitter system."
I wonder if rj wakes up and feels the weight of this social Twitter system bearing down on him
Or that his writing is shit.
of all the people to whine about in this article
he seems to have missed people who are a fan of star wars
lots of shitflinging at systematic trolls and other horrors
but not a single word about a certain group of people who might have a very good reason to be very upset
think I'll just listen to star wars podcasts today instead of using my brain

Fuck you, Rose Tico. You fucking twat.
whoa there Moon
that looks awfully like fighting what you hate, instead of saving what you love
What? Rose is terrible!
Why people dont like her, I forgot it
I had to google who that was, I think that says enough for what I think about the character
Still, though.
I saw Mr. Robot.
@young compass you still going tonight?
Yup
Do you want me to create a video for you? Please contact me here: https://www.billycrammer.com/contact PLEASE NOTE: This is a FAN-MADE conceptual video made ...
what I have heard of it has not been good
not that I think I would ever watch the hbo series before the comic or even the movie
but I have not heard anything good about the hbo series
I watched this video https://youtu.be/8qBFUEUbFyU and another one that echoed many of the same complaints but not as well put together
using youtubers to justify and form your opinions? cringe
I've never talked to any Watchmen fans before, so I'm interested in what they would think of it
but Wolf is someone I've listened to talk about movies and shit a lot and I generally trust his judgement
Did he, ever once bring up it being woke?
Because if he did you should discredit the opinon most likley
I don't recall exactly
So the crux
Is that it doesnt stay true to the novels
Which if ur a fan of the novels i get why u would have a problem
I havent read the novels and really have no interest
The story really is its own thing
And its quite enjoyable imo.
When he said its morally wrong to not stay true to the source material i was like bruh its an adaptation 💀💀 ur just mad its not like the novel
Altho as someone who loved the pjo books as a kid and saw the movies
I get the anger 😂
duly noted
queen and slim was interesting
@dim hedge I didn't hate the movie but it was forgettable
@young compass will you be my ride or die
watched the Irishman on Friday
||Enjoyed it and wish it was longer. His whole life was about pleasing others and being the shooter and the middle man. I've heard many of these stories told in different ways, except for how Hoffa died. I didn't think that Frank would kill him. I love how sudden it was. He paints, that's what he does.
Some of the nursing home scenes were done in Staten Island. I like that they're doing a lot of shows and movies out there in the last 5 years.
At 1st, I was bugged by the fact that they kept highlighting that 1 daughter. I was like "is this chick a producer". It reminded of the Jackson 5 movie and how Jermaine kept getting highlighted. Then, as the movie got closer to the end, I realized it was about how she could read the father more and was possibly the most uncomfortable for it. She was quiet, so Russ and Jimmy took a liking to her more. She had to know and not like that Frank did that to Jimmy.
Performances were cool. No weak links. I do want to point out that i've never heard of Stephen Graham b4. He stole the movie for me. To go toe to toe with Pacino is not no little thing and in multiple scenes. My fav scene is the 2nd meeting between Jimmy and Pro. That shit was beautiful||
top 5 scenes
||5 The Phone Call To Jo
4 Frank killing Crazy Joe
3 Frank's Dinner Celebration
2 Frank killing Hoffa
1 Hoffa's meeting with Pro||
@young compass they should have been able to hide out for longer
i will be your ride or die
also, that scene with ||the black cop was weird af||
a white couple behind me walked out of the theatre as soon right after it happened LOL
@young compass the one that got shot or the one that let them go?
the one that let them go
i didn't think it was weird, especially given how it was offset by what happened after lol
my entire audience was what you think it would be anyway, i don't think there were any white people
i took it he was thinking about turning them in
but then remembered his interaction with his coworker and decided to stick it to the man
I understood like why
but his expressions were weird af
I thought the ending was good
also, the crowd watching was like 50/50 black/white
mine was like 80 black/ 20 hispanic
i saw it right after knives out
i'm probably overestimating the hispanic, but i didn't conduct a census, but it was mostly people like me
mostly white
overall though I'd prob put the movie at like
7.5/10
I enjoyed myself
but it was kinda weird at parts
i think the message the movie tried to portray is problematic
also the omnipresent cops is weird
it was super unrealistic
just in general
so i kinda put that aside right away
the only thing not unrealistic was the first altercation
where they shot the cop
as for the message I don't think I have any grounds to say if it was good or not
the mechanic dude was funny
the only rational black dude in the movie lol
"Unlike the rest of these simple niggas I don't support what you did"
lol
i felt like the movie was saying if one of us killed a cop we'd just rally behind them
also there is no jury alive that would convict someone of murder for that
maybe slim for tackling the cop
but if there is audio there wouldn't be much of a case
I liked the actors for the most part though
daniel kaluuya can't win no matter what role he is in
dnaiel kaluuya was especially good ye
I've never seen jodie turner smith before this though
every movie he gets tossed in another random situation
guess she's new
she's a smaller actor
i was gonna view her wikipedia but they started begging me for money again
yeah she's been in a few things, just nothing most people have seen
first thing I did after the movie was over though
was check out the reddit thread
cause I knew it'd be a shitshow lol
i posted a few times on it
i already knew it wouldn't have a ton of comments
i think the romance wasn't done very well
she was a bitch for most of the movie
romance was okay
one of the girls Earl had was trans so that was some nice inclusion
but I didn't mind it becuse it was another thing I tied in with the unrealistic aspects
and yeah that was cool
imo they had no real chemistry
why did the ||whole swat team show up at that dude's house lol||
for two people resembling the couple
she basically used him for a free meal
thats the part i'm still wondering
it was so random i was sure they just wanted the movie to be over
yep it's like the director got so captured in the story
that they forgot they had to end it in 2 hours
I would have liked some more imagery
like what?
more creative environments basically
as they drove, ran etc
thought the soundtrack was underused for how good it was
and that they could have used it there too
would have made the romance better imo
the soundtrack was the best part of the movie
they put me on to some real bops
i would rather they spent more time getting to know each other
the ||sex scene was so sudden i was convinced they had just given up||
it was pretty sudden ye
I was envisioning a scene where they were talking as they drove while the sky shifted with the music
just ever so slightly
i feel like ||they knew they were going to die and just wanted to fuck, that would probably be a much better reason than the one we were presented||
that would have been lame considering the rest of the movie
but the way they did it was also lame so
this song off the soundtrack was dope at least
for that bit
the one solange song is actually pretty dope too
i ain't know she was slayin it like that
Knives out, anyone seen it? Is it really that good?
@dim hedge has
Oh i got it
Seems like you talk about some spoilers tho so I wont read further 😂
It got an impressive 8.1 on imdb, so ill give it a watch
We were talking about Queen and Slim so unless you wanna see that you’re good

Am I late yet
Black widow trailer
Anyone here excited for the new stars
I don’t like what Disney has done with this trilogy at all especially if these leaks are true but I wanna see how it ends lol so I’m still mildly excited
@jolly sedge It's gonna be lame. I just want them to stop making them now
lol
Yeah my expectations sent high
Arnt
@fading cedar the new Vader shorfilm comes out soon And what do u think about this Disney trilogy
And how did u like the Godzilla movie
Last time we talked was when the trailer came out
It was fucking amazing
god i cant wait till godzilla fights kong
@fading cedar theirs literally no way kong can beat zilla
Doesn’t matter
Either way ||Theyll likley only fight for part of the movie, then team up againts bigger threat||
Godzilla been around for millions of years and has protected the earth time and time again
Kong almost got killed by 70s weponary
And Godzilla survived a oxygen bomb and Nuke
That is just in this cinematic universe
And Godzilla fighting ghidora in that movie was his second time beating him he beat him before by himself
How is king going to Survive a nuclear beam when he was almost killed by fire
Godzilla is hella smart also
Also u would think the millions of years Godzilla has dominated earth for he would have ran into Kong’s species before
Only way Kong is gonna stand a chance is if monarch somehow gives his some steroids to enchanted evrything about him
Godzilla probably didn't beat Ghidorah the first time around
Enhance
And Godzilla never dominated the earth
He was the strongest alpha, but he didn't run everyone around
Godzilla put ghidora in the ice
That's why Kong doesn't come into the movie
Because he's also an alpha and can ignore Ghidorah's call
He basically hears it and goes "fuck ya'll I have my own island"
And yeh Godzilla put him in the ice, but couldn't beat him it looks like
'cause Ghidorah gets up and Godzilla stands like no chance
I think Kong tried to respond to the call but he couldn’t get off skill island cause they said the island was rumbling
Like their was a lot of movement
Nah, they have it expanded a little in extra material
And yeah ghidora was a alien who conquered fucking planets
And came to earth and met zilla
Kong hears the call but doesn't go over because he can't be controlled the same way
and decides his territory is more important to him
And Kong and zilla are gonna team up
And fight him
I thinks estoryah is gonna appear
Destroyah
Cause of the oxygen bomb
Nah, mechaghidorah is next
That to
'cause they have his head now
Yeah
The old guy
They can do either
But their defiantly not gonna kill each other
And zilla is gonna win
It's probably gonna be like an undecided fight
'with hints to who would've won
But they can kill Kong off and still have a huge universe, they just can't put Godzilla down
what did you guys prefer i liked skull island more
Also u guys saw how all the kamiya where healing the earth
Also u guys saw how all the kamiya where healing the earth
The kaijus
At the end
Also I guess u can consider kong a alpha I don’t really consider ghidora a real alpha cause he was a alien
The alpha of earth
@crimson lance I liked Godzilla more
But skull island was good
@crimson lance I was referring to age as a experience marker Godzilla has been fighting kaijus for years and long has really fought any big dogs yet
Kong
Movie most likely gonna be like Batman v Superman
My Lord
@crimson lance kong in his current state even when he’s bigger and taller I don’t see a way he can damage Zilla cause he just a giant ape unless monarch gives him some muto steroids to enhance him
Albair
Where have u been
weapons
He used weapons before he can use em again
He can also just choke hold zilla
whats he gonna do, not die from strangulation?
I don’t see how Godzilla can heat his body up
And burn him
And it would be hard to do that also with Godzilla’s scale things sticking up all over his back
Monarch has been monitoring king for years so I think they have a plan for him
Kong
We should find out what the jist of it is within 2 months when the trailer drops
@crimson lance didn’t mean to come off as a know it all or rude or arrogant
So sorry if I came off that way
I just read a lot about these characters
yeah i heard that too
That would feel so surreal
U guys know when titans coming on netflix?
I just read an article that addressed the rumor of The Simpsons ending. From the looks of things, it's still going.
The s1 is on netflix
India

im digging this adaptation so much
Is that Gong Li as the witch? Cool
A shame its in english and not chinese... but its fine i guess
I hope that means at least they hired a lot of ABCs instead of chinese
Yeah at first i thought itd be trash because i didnt see mushu but as long as theres still ancestors and magic in it and its not trying to act all historical im fine with it
I think the new adaptation sucks.
They probably thought he was insensitive because he wasnt a perfect divine being or something
My friend thinks the same thing but im like cartoons give crazy personalities to all sorts of mythical beings and its insensitive because its chinese?
Anyway ill stop the trailer looks great

Yeah something like that
Appearntly a movie made about Ne Zha, also called “Ne Zha” from China is really good
Chiaotzu from dbz is based on ne zha

How could the omit such goat bops
God damn you china!
Taking all the good shit
Thats why yall govt took yall freedom of speech too many bad opinions!
🏃♂️

Honestly was hyped for mulan before i rememberered its from disney
Its gonna have low quality fight scenes, which would be the best thing about the movie now with everything else gone
Toy Story 4 was pretty good. Nothing egregious
Was not need but a good movie
I'd rather have new titles but it was pretty quality so I don't mind
I think this is a great wait to ADAPT animation
Live actions shouldn’t try to copy completely the animation. Because are different grounds. Ofc it can work sometimes, Aladdin wasn’t so bad.
But considering Mulan’s story, the comedy the animation had wouldn’t give the serious vibe of focusing seriously on mulan’s journey as they doing now
I’m totally loving the adaptation
It’s the same for almost everything people try with live actions. It’s better to adapt it to real life rather than copying exactly an animation. Which is my issue with most anime live action movies.
Also, the adaptation is also important because dragon ball evolution was fkn trash
Evolution had writers that didn't read the material or watch the anime
they weren't aware of the fanfare
they just tried to make a "better" story than what they heard about the story
adapted what they had to somewhat they thought would be better
But was prettt trash
Kingdom live action was really good. But it works because kingdom is somewhat realistic. Considering there are only few things you’d count as fiction. But since it takes ground on warfare, it’s easy to create a live action
the only 3 that i liked so far are the
Kenshin movies
Bleach
Kingdom
The ideal live action to me for a dragon ball movie would be goku going from black hair to blond not a fkn shining gold
or if it’s a shining gold, a good cgi
Bleach was alright
They actually invested in cgi
Cos that’s another issue, Marvel puts so much money on cgi and the movies are awesome
If ppl that make anime live action just put enough for it wouldn’t have such fame
i loved Infinity War's cgi
but the cgi for Endgame's final battle was too dark and weird for me
