Full disclosure, I am more of a DC fan than a Marvel one, but I tip my hat to the massive success Disney has accomplished with the MCU. I'm still of the opinion that the MCU as a whole is overrated but they've done a great job. The DCEU by comparison is in significantly worse shape due in large part to WB's incompetence, still think it gets unnecessary hate and not nearly enough credit for what/when it does well.

I'm a sucker for good character development, and the only one I can compare him to in terms of that from the books is Sansa
You have this privileged, naive girl who is taught how cruel the real world is first hand and is quietly developing into a force to avenge herself and her family, on the flip you have have this equally privileged older man who has everything a guy could dream of and initially comes off as some pompous, generic bad guy, but as we get into his head and see him humbled we begin to realize that that isn't him at all, that he's just a very damaged man who doesn't quite know who he wants to be.
I won't say they are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum cause they really aren't, but they are very distinct characters and to go from where they started to where they are now I tip my hat to GRRM, he's doing a bang up job.

Ever since I heard Tara's name, I knew the outcome of that. Almost every adaptation makes sure that she doesn't have a happy ending. Especially if Deathstoke is involved. Tara's gonna ruin that whole offshoot team of Outsiders.
I like how Metamorpho's character was shown off. In JL Unlimited, they were great at getting a lot of underrated characters involved, but a lot of them wouldn't get to show off personality. Shiva is a great example of fixing that as well as Metamorpho. I see the Cheshire narrative getting darker. Will might die for her.
I've seen some complaints about Halo being too powerful. I disagree. Not only does she struggle to remember her past, she can't control all of her powers. Whenever she starts to progress with the abilities that she knows of, a new 1 pops up. Grayson was able to have a great mentorship with Brion.
Got Cyborg and possibly Bluebird and Vibe for the tech squad. Jefferson wasn't wasted at all. He got to show off his life, struggles, personality and abilities.
Going forward, i'd like to see Duke Thomas and more cultivation. Like when Cyborg (controlled by Father Box) chased Halo and it felt like a horror movie and the grume and cruor coming from Cyborg as he almost died. Those moments felt like a different show came on.

I mean take Thor Ragnarok for example, that is widely regarded as one of (if not the) best superhero comedy movies ever, and while it did alright you would've expected it to have done better given the rave reviews it was getting from both critics and fans alike

One of the biggest issues with the DCEU is just how unprepared everything turned out to be. One of the biggest reason the MCU has been so successful is that it's producer driven and not the other way around, what I mean by that is that you a big boss person (in this case Kevin Feige) watching over everything and making sure every movie in contained within a set universe/storyline. WB had the bright idea of making it director driven with no one making sure the that ship was at least point in the right direction.
That didn't become an issue until they forced Snyder's project to kick of a DCEU
As soon as they decided to do that what they should've done was make Snyder the executive producer, I mean everything was influenced by his vision to begin with so why not?
