I know so many emotional beats happen in that song so it HAD to be stretched to 10 minutes for a proper film adaption and they do the best to bridge the movements together with additional lines and backing chords but it still kinda stinks one of the best stage songs of all time got split up into ~5 smaller songs. Great climax, one of the worst renditions of the music.

Maybe there was a normal length version in the credits I was falling apart by the end of the movie and couldn't stay for them.

Popular is the best scene in the movie somehow??? Single handedly justifies hiring Ariana Grande for Glinda the Nickelodeon Star energy she brought to it was a blast. Not sold on her as Glinda the Good and how she'll handle the timeskip but as teenage Glinda the bratty rich girl she stole the movie||

I read a pslam for the wild built recently which tehcnically has a sequel and is a duology (havent read second one) but is very short, works as a standalone, and shoud be a pretty significant change of pace from a fantasy epic like asoiaf if thats what youre looking for.
I also really like financial nonfiction if youre looking for a huge departure from fantasy. The Smartest Guys in the Room, Liar's Poker, and All the Devils are Here are all good in that category

Finished the Ultimate Spiderman comic ||I enjoyed reading this. I liked reading mostly for the snappily-paced action segments and how it handled Peter Parker's character arc in being mature and maintaining responsibility as a hero. I personally consider #111 to be the perfect stopping point for the story, where Peter confesses his lifestyle to his aunt and really displays his worth as a great hero. Having seen a complete Spiderman story now though, I still consider Mary Jane to be a dull, intrusive character. The harsh judgments Jane received from Peter back when they broke up are pretty much my thoughts on her. lol||

Will probably continue Daredevil from this point on tomorrow.
