guardians 3 ||the movie is chock full of character building, paying off gamora's arc of grasping her identity, mantis's emotional arc of maturing and expressing to her team mates and then going off on her own journey to discover herself, kraglin's arc of overcoming his limitations and coming to terms with the inheritance he has been left with, drax's love and humanity coming through, quill dealing with loss, nebula truly coming into her own with the team and realising the worth of building instead of destroying, coming over from infinity war and endgame and this is just the main players OUTSIDE rocket who gets the biggest arc of emotional catharsis in the movie||

guardians 3 ||i dont get this complaint of music being placed unnecessarily, what exactly does that mean? the songs comment on the situation diagetically and is placed with the intention of accompanying the mood of a scene or the subtext of the scene, gunn excels at choosing songs that fit the scenes that way and its not even overused, in fact its used less than the two previous movies||

guardians 3 ||every single character arc makes sense coming from the previous movies and where they were in the past, especially for rocket because it is a reckoning for him that is paralleled with peter and him going through terrible loss||

guardians 3 ||heck even the fuckin gold boy gets an arc that comes to fruition, going from being a weak willed puppet controlled by a terrible woman to seeing the humanity and companionship and eventually taking up to rescuing his enemy, peter||

Guardians of the galaxy 3 ||Guardians of the Galaxy 3 does NOT live up to the first two lets be real harsh. The script is just not good. it is painfully transparent and artificial. Something that I would never say about the first two.||

||After the 2nd honestly I could not think of anywhere they could possibly go with a third one. Seems like GUNN didn't know either.... Groot wraps himself around someone who demolishes him pretty much the same way he died originally, yet now he lives as just a head, wtf lol now his original death is completely pointless. Once again Gunn shits on everything that came before him so he can have his moment.. I cant talk enough about how this movie is a massive cringe-fest from basically every line spoken from start to finish. Rocket has an arc where he finally learns to let people in and not have the past shut him off from everyone else... Just like the second one.. I cant stress how annoying the transitions are from moment from moment genuinely ass pacing also this stupid fuckin otter that says "It's sure nice to have friends" 5 whole fucking times, can we please just get the wood chipper in already and hurry this shit along??? She even says it half a second before she gets shot by the bad guy, which would honestly be hilarious if the film didn't insist it were this big tragic moment. Rocket finally accepts that he is, in fact, a fucking raccoon.||

Guardians 3 ||The main villian is such a goddamn joke too he is basically Mengele, but his goal is to create a super race of Furries, I guess. That's literally his entire character: Yelling about how much he wants to create a furry master race and how important Rocket is in that pursuit the first 2 movies were not this bad||

guardians 3 ||the otter saying "its sure nice to have friends" doesnt happen so many times for you to be frustrated so much, they're creatures JUST given sentience and knowing no one else being kind to them other than those other experimented animals, moment to moment transitions being ass is not true at all, gunn showcases a mastery of editing and flow with cuts in this movie like he did with his suicide squad movie, the movie doesnt hurry along and shows rocket's relationship develop so that the eventual loss is devastating, the creatures there are given sentience and then ripped away from their sense of being||

guardians 3 ||peter gets over the loss of gamora and gets a new lease of life and tries to connect with his grandfather, who he has been brushing off the entire movie and life because he doesnt want to face his mother's death again and his grandfather who is a representation of his unwillingness to get into commited relationships and repairing his own broken relationships comes in the end because of his acceptance of the alternate gamora choosing her own path and him getting closure over all the losses he has faced in the story, quill finally finds the gumption to go do something about his other relationships||

guardians 3 ||in what way this is an emulation of the first 2 i dont even know, the second one was about parenting and letting found family take centre stage, the third one is about claiming identity and reinforcing the idea of community||

guardians 3 ||gamora going off on her own path is also something that is earned, she is not beholden to the guardians but comes to see the merit of their family dynamic and participate in it even for a bit and comes away with more lessons learnt about her own journey and how to go about it with the ravagers, either you explain that this is somehow bad or that's just another shallow criticism made out of not understanding what gunn was going for with the movie||
