This piece of contemporary abstract art is set to expand the imagination of the viewer through a small glimpse of our future.
The uneven grids of dark gray and black with subtle hints of lighter grays makes it look like an illegally-captured birds-eye view of a war-torn dystopian city void of light and electric power. The lighter gray and white shadings make it look like there are still traces of modernity left in the humans of the future in terms of light from their electronic devices. Otherwise it is a return to the primeval age of survival of the fittest attitude.
The people at the top has abandoned searching for greener pastures building artificial cities high above in the sky or finding life on other planets. All we have left is a seeminly constant, endless, and dark void, reminiscent of films like Blade Runner and 1984. But the people living inside do not seemingly bother looking for light nor alter their lifestyles becausd ignorance is bliss indeed.
