Iโ€™d saw start simply by drawing what you like with reference. So always have a pic or what you want to draw up.. and try different methods till youโ€™re comfy

So you can try drawing the head first or the eyes first if itโ€™s a person; and just keep working on it till you see something youโ€™re proud of. And then start experimenting with styles and stuff

well i mean more for digital art i'm already ok with traditional and humans and realistic stuff but my mom got me a tablet thingy for Christmas and i'm just no good at it

Aahhh! Tablets are a pain at first. You basically have to adjust the pressure settings until you find something that feels natural. It took me months to fix my settings on my Wacom tablet

And then just keep doing it until it feels like paper I guess. Iโ€™m still not great at tablets. I mostly use it to clean lines that Iโ€™ve hand drawn and scanned

Trust me, i dont draw realistically but learning anatomy by drawing and learning from real life poses was the quickest way for me to get better, and i didnt have to give up my style either. quickposes.com is a good resource

I believe its easier to draw diffrent cartoonesque styles by immersing yourself in it ,i myself am horrible at drawing realisticly but years of animated films and comics made me what i am today when it comes to drawing cartoons

I think both drawing from what you like and realistic stuff is the best way to grow. If you only draw from what you like, you dont learn the universal skills that give you more freedom in your artwork. If you only draw realistically its just boring. Its really about both

Real study gives you the freedom to make a fully realized style without it just being a copy or kinda off in my experience. I guess you can bang all that out by doing it a couple extra years another way though
