anyway before we get you in any further place, you ought to understand proportions
its basic and extremely important
let me help you
alright so in manga art we're gonna be measuring shit with heads
now later on you're gonna have to understand things like how long the arms and legs are relative to the body, how long the torso should be, etc, how wide the body should be. but before we learn all of that, just the body's size itself is a good important starting point, and then you can start adjusting things from there
so usually what you're going to want to do, for an adult male character, is have a body that is seven heads long
this isnt a precise rule, someone like aokiji is gonna have like a billion heads for his body, and luffy has less than 7, probably 6
that's our homeboy luffy, 6 maybe 6.5 heads
you draw a character like kid goku, he's gonna have a head to body ratio of about 3 i believe
maybe 2.5?
but the point here is that
it's not just about drawing the character bigger or smaller
there are internal proportions to hte body
unless you get into really distorted characters like raizo, most human-looking characters are going to have very similar sized heads
and the shape/size of the body relative to the head is what makes them look chibi or adult or teenagerish
same size head, different bodies, get it?
so the first thing you need to do is understand what kind of proportions you're going for
look at the kind of art style you're going for, look at the kind of head:body ratio it involves
you can have legitimate characters that are 1:4 or 1:6 or 1:8 or whatever, it doesnt matter, it just makes them more childish looking or more adult looking, but most normal manga characters are gonne be in the 6-8 range
it just depends on the kind of feeling you're going for
a 1:8 ratio gets you realistic tall adult characters, it's the kind of stuff you would see often in western comics or stuff like ghost in the hsell, cowboy bebop etc
for the style you're going for, you might be better off with 1:7 adult males and 1:6 adult females, i'm not sure

anyway stray I think the pencils arent doing you any favors, some things like his left eye (his left, not our left) dont flow right because the line is hard to see
i think you need to either draw digitally, or ink your drawings, or just pay more careful attention to how the lines are coming out because i think it's messy right now. because pencilwork can involve a lot of erasing and redrawing, it's hard to get it to be clean, i dont know how to help with that since my pencil drawings are always messy... but try to find a way to get it to look right, cause right now it's hurting the final product imo

about the folds, i think theyd look better if they started at the lightning bolt, like this

even a serious angry manly character drawn in a simple style doesnt have to have a STRAIGHT line, it bends and curves a bit
basically i dont think it's super necessary to have it as straight as you had it there
but hey if it's your style is your style, nothing wrong with it

feels totally natural, i have no qualms with it at all
mouths are hard but you could stand to learn more about how these kinds of mouths are usually drawn by manga artists
in bleach these things are drawn minimalistically, with pretty much nothing
just white and very little guidelines for where the teeth would be, with some blacked out at the edges
this fairy tail picture is an example of how in a simplistic art-style the inside of an annoyed/angry mouth can look, it depends though
there are a lot of variations on how annoyed or actually flat out angry the character is
so you need to look at artists you like and see how they do it
but the good thing about mouths in manga style is that you can get away with drawing them very simplistically, without adding much detail

is speed draw figures
i mean, if i were me i would also speed draw figures, but i am lazy
do a few
2 minute or 5 minute or something

and you'll see it's really fast and easy
and then you'll be motivated to do a lot

like do it several times above without drawing
so you are good with the motion
and then the line is straight

working with a g-pen is very hard since theres no room for errors
and you have to be able to control your hand really well
so ive been getting a lot of practice with that over the last few, uhh, i dont know, lots of years
but when i draw
with a pencil
i go over the line a million times
like it's nobody's business
perfect lines are for women and the gays

especially with digital art being so commonplace these days and it being so easy to ctrl+z any mistake
drawing perfect lines on the first try is not something i see as valuable
drawing is redrawing imo
erasing and redrawing
