OH HIII!!! HI! THIS IS WONDERFUL!! i really like the way you shade and render the hair and skin!! if you want an improvement tip (tm), it's mostly the perspective for the hand (the anatomy is a bit wonky, but in general all the issues with that could be fixed with the use of reference images. usually when i'm studying anatomy i'll do two sketches, one where i directly trace my reference, and another where i draw it once more with the direct understanding i garner for the form from that!!)

line weight might also help you!!! the parts closer to the camera tend to be conveyed easier as such if you line them a bit thicker!! i'd also suggest using different colors for the background to avoid the lady blending in too much but. that's far from a priority xD

yeah!! the photo is a bit light BUT there's a pretty visible issue with the form factor - both for the clothing folds, weight of the pose and the face.

i'm not sure how you go about the sketches, but i'd recommend trying to look at actual reference pictures (both still life/real people and of law) and working a bit on the face symmetry - a lot of variations in proportion of body parts can be justified as a part of the artstyle, but i've found that my art tends to "fall into place" easier when i do very detailed sketches (anatomical features blocked out in place, and usually two "Passes" correcting mistakes before i move to lineart)

(also, videos on gesture drawing and anatomy MIGHT explain this sort of stuff better than i do?? i'm mostly just an artist who does stuff out of practice and habit rather than proper reasoning that can be easily put into words, as you can see from the 10 minutes it took me to scrunge up 2 sentences here lmao--) (this channel is really good!! https://www.youtube.com/@YTartschool/videos you MIGHT notice a bit of how he specializes in digital art BUT all of his anatomy stuff applies to traditional/paper art as well)

Just wanted to make Chopper this innocent boy who are very book smart but not streetsmart... so he is experiencing a world outside Drum Island

Had a hard time deciding on how to draw Chopper's feet...

Thanks, only problem i have is that my imagination with character in general suks, like I can sometimes come up with something really cool but I can never draw it bc it too complicated

Best I do is Google a picture and then from there I just zoom in and out of the pic to get better view on it so I can draw
